Miss South Africa 2023 is Natasha Joubert. She already represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2020. Bryoni Govender, the Runner-Up is Miss Universe South Africa 2023.
Natasha Joubert will not be representing South Africa at Miss Supranational 2024... Perhaps that responsibility might fall to Miss South Africa 2023 Top 3 finalist Nande Mabala.

Natasha does not have the power to give Bryoni a chance to compete at Miss Universe. I think that's delusional or arrogant of her to say. The Miss Universe participants contract does not allow a woman to compete more than once PERIOD. Equally I understand that saying she gave Bryoni the opportunity to compete at Miss Universe, will allow Natasha to be saint like.

Can I just say something .
I am currently living in Thailand and watched MUT 2023 and I can honestly tell you, Miss SA Org and sponsors can come learn from the MUT Org, sponsors and production team how to put a final show together.
MUT started at 20h30 on Sunday evening and within an hour they were down as follows
    Start with 53 girls
    Then down to 20
    Then down to 12
    Then down to 5
    And then down to 3
The last 90 minutes was all about the top 3 and it was fast paced.
Steph and the Miss SA Org rely to much on come back girls and I persoanlly feel that this year they begged Natasha, Bryoni, Jordan and Melissa to re-enter and they know by adding the two strongest girls against new comers Jordan and Melissa would be the buffer to make it not so obvious that Natasha and Bryoni will be in the Top 2. Dont get me wrong Bryoni was my choice for Miss SA 2023 from the day she "announced" she is entering again.
I personally think that every country must be forced by MU Org to follow the cannot enter a second time.
To end off,I personally don't feel Natasha deserves the Miss SA crown at all and as a Afrikaans speaking person, she did lie in the RSG interview.. there was no "lost in translation as per CEO of miss SA Org, Steph Wells, she is English so maybe she translated the Afrikaans to English wrong by using Google translate😂

Miss SA org made a few blunders this year and they lost some following. Let me just outline this:
    1. Having 7 contestants is a definite no, they lost some people who would have attended and bought tickets just to support they fam/contestants.
    2. People are angry with Natasha’s win and it looked racist, the fact that they accommodated her like this.
    3. Their conflict resolution needs work.

Why is Natasha's win racist? Because she is white? Remember Demi Leigh Nel-Peters was the last white woman who won Miss SA in 2017 exactly 6 years before Natasha. Between them only black women won Miss SA and mostly black women used to be in the top 3 with the exception of Tamaryn Green who won in 2018 is a cape coloured. There is nothing racist here.

She didn’t say otherwise she spoke facts if you’ve worked for a pageant organisation u would know the the crowned winner isn’t bigger than the organisation
So Natasha can’t take decisions without having validation from the miss sa organisation same for miss universe, miss earth whatever
So for Natasha to say I decided not to go I’m giving my place to bryoni I’m only serving my country
Is insane cause she’s not giving bryoni anything that’s what was decided by the organisation already and we all know why !
And if the organisation wanted Natasha to attend miss super national she wasn’t gonna have the power to say A or B unless the organisation agrees with her excuse to not participate or whatever
So her crown isn’t bigger than the organisation.
      So rina is speaking facts

People care very little about pageants in Africa as a whole Yes we might have won and are called a power house but i tell you the truth South Africans care very little .A huge number of them i am telling you . Whoever came before or after Zozi is insignificant. They care nothing about the rest but Zozi. Ask even a taxi driver , they know Zozi. That is why they are less informed. Stephanie's response to Zozi's no show at the finale doesn't cut the mustard for me. Coming to who will represent SA at the Miss Supranational pageant this year, I see no reason(s) why can't the reigning Miss SA go and compete. That she, Natasha want to concentrate on her role and duties of Miss SA, is very lame to say the least. Stephanie needs to explain clearly the reason behind that decision (if indeed it has concluded that way). 😂😂😂😂😂 a bit too harsh? If you know Rina you know she love Natasha even had her on her wishlist for Miss SA. Now Natasha lied on that interview she lied and Rina is just telling it as it is. Unlike you some pageant fans are objective in their reasoning and are not blinded by fandom. Rina is just calling a spade a spade

The whole situation is messy messy
Nothing is making sense I personally think Natasha wanted to compete internationally but either the owner of miss universe was not having it or as u said the license is over and they dropping it which is sad cause they are acting like dogs for miss universe now so sad.
Natasha is not bigger thn the organisation if thy wanted her there she would be there
Anyways good luck to bryoni for miss univers with work she will do great.
    Great video

One of the duties of a reigning Queen is to represent her county internationally. Why they wasted money on this show is beyond me and they're going to waste Designers time , Bryoni's time to train and expenses just to go to el Salvador to fail coz definitely she's not placing and I get it if at National level you didn't believe in a girl why should an international pageant believe in her... she'll be unplaced.

I was there last year, definitely not a VIP ticket, but I felt the live pageant wasn't made for the audience. It was clear that the setup was tv, and we were part of the show... even though we paid to watch the pageant. As soon as they said "see you after the break," everything stopped. It was not a great experience. We were even told we couldn't go in cause we were 20 minutes late...after standing in a line to enter the arena from parking for 2 hours.

Why would she lie? It just doesn't make sense. If she lies then obviously she knows she'll be in trouble. So why lie? It then makes sense why she said she wants to give Bryoni a chance to compete. Because she can give that chance in MU invited hee back. I honestly think she was telling the truth.

None of us have the facts and until then we can't be making videos that are discrediting the Miss SA organisation. Stop your sensationalism and start posting videos with substance and facts like your fellow pageant analysts.

I've said it before, and I will say it again: Natasha is a complication. Perhaps it's good that she came up with the "I'm doing this for the Miss SA crown" but what she and the Miss SA organisation will not successfully do is to draw a line between Miss SA and and, let's say, Miss Universe SA for example. Case in Point is Natasha herself after MU 2020.
Based on performance, of course Natasha did well and deserved to win.

Why were you awed that interviewers are not upon pageant details as you are, particularly, that she will not be able to compete in Miss Universe or Miss World?
Not all persons follow pageant religiously as pageant fans and the said interviewers were relying on standard information that they were aware of; specifically, that Miss South Africa usually competes in Miss World and Miss Universe and not familiar with:
    1. The Miss Universe 1 chance competition rule and/or that she even competed previously and
    2. That Miss South Africa relinquished the Miss World franchise
Pageants heyday have come and gone! As a result, they no longer hold significance in people's mind including journalists as they used to do. So get over your aweness ...about interviewers not being up-to-date on something that maybe on the way of becoming extinct, as well as, so much more happening in the world thst requires more attention and knowledge than domeone winning and competiting in pageants.
BTW, I am a pageant fan

    • @ernestchikope4751
      @ernestchikope4751 Год назад

Lol you are one lousy pageant fan. Pageant fandom aside lemme educate you on media interviews by they radio or tv the hosts have to educate theirselves first about the particular guest and the particular topic he/she will talk about. One cannot feign ignorance that's just the golden rule of hosting a guest. So whether it's pageantry, politics or sports the host must be well informed in case the guest decides to lie 😂 like in the case of Natasha (point in case).
