@@fernandoifill-ruiz3475 since KPIX no longer use the Eyewitness News title, it's time for KGO to use the Eyewitness News title complete with News Series 2000 from the 80s
@@ericsamuelson5656 I think they don't because in the Bay Area people associate the Eyewitness News name with KPIX. There was a very short time in the mid 90s where KPIX first used the KPIX 5 News name instead of Eyewitness News and I wondered then if KGO would start using it, but then KPIX brought back Eyewitness News. At this point, KPIX hasn't used it in almost a decade, so they almost certainly aren't bringing it back. Still, I think there would be some confusion, as only TV geeks like us would insist KGO should be Eyewitness News while average Bay Area viewers would either care less or wonder why KGO was taking the name of what to them is an inferior newscast (as they associate the name with KPIX).

Announcers heard doing these openings: Scott Vincent, Gil Hodges, Ernie Anderson, Norman Rose, Mike Lewis and Charlie Van Dyke.

1987 until 1997 intros have same unique intros which also used by sister stations in Los Angeles (KABC-TV) & San Francisco (KGO-TV).
I wish KGO-TV San Francisco would use the name EYEWITNESS NEWS as well instead of ABC 7 News.

The intro some 5 minutes 20 seconds in had to come from September 21 or 22 in 1980; I recall seeing that full newscast elsewhere here in RUclips...
