I agree it's not pocket change, but for our situation, it was definitely the most economical option. It was a lot cheaper for us upgrade our hoop than paying for a new in-ground basketball hoop.

Did you have to cut the bottom of the pole before attaching to the new base…because originally I know it screws into the old plastic base 🤔?
No. Just unscrewed it from the base and placed it in place. It was pretty easy actually.
