BHAHAHA im also struggled on this and had to retry around 7 times to actually realize that most of red tablets have that passive! after that its smooth sailing! xD
I swear to God every mini game in arknights it always takes me to the near end of the game before understanding the mechanics. Honestly this is the best mini game so far, no wonder they added an endless here.
for this stage specifically youre just tasked to save your red gem tablet the whole round (introduction asked u to use the non upgraded♦️ red tablet on table while u keep the upgraded) the 2nd round of it asked you to keep both upgraded ♦️red gem tablet (because of their passive will make them act like theyre put on table regardless) as shown at 0:14
xD its why this stage introduction is the red gem tablet as starter, theyre encouraging you to use its passive effect by playing it on your own to understand it instead!
oh its the point of this stage! you're tasked to not use your red gemstone engraving on early but still able to get the effect of it due to its passive after being upgraded (will take effect even if you don't put it in table) and the introduction is the 2 red engraving (passive active) and another 1 red engraving and youre tasked to use the other one bcuz the upgraded one does not need to be on table! the 2nd one after it is the one you mentioned always merged into 3 which is the main point of it! you can engrave without both of them being put in table and saved it for the entire run while being able to use its effect fully because of their passive after being upgraded!
OK, it was very frustrating. Then I somehow found out that I need to save cards sometimes (you can engrave even empty table), so I can then buy upgrades and make lot of points to be able to save for next round or two again. So it's about tactically building your score - just when I see I'm on higher score then needed, engrave empty table, buy upgrades and then build high score and repeat this round by round. I kept red card(s) all the time, not sure if it was needed. I was buying only yellow and light blue cards. Very strict judge class finished after 2 tries (with 12 rounds one must be just more patient in building score up). I bought slots to have 4 or 5 of them (not sure now, it's also part of tactic, as slots are pretty expensive).
yep this stage "strict judge" part is all about saving some card to build your score! (aka the red gemstone engraving card), and the slot not really necessary here because 3 slots at most will be enough to clear 5 rounds easily they're very much just give that much to reroll the card and get the one you want much easier!
Thanks! I was wondering why you didn't put them on the table on Round 2 and went to straight to engraving...then read ahead as them a having passive properties. I tried it and didn't put them in the table anymore (well most of the time anyway) just bought/upgraded most them while keeping an eye on the estimated score before engraving. I went straight to Very Strict Judge next to max out the course level. LOL
you can use them for endless with the combo of [🔵Blue Gem -> 🔵Blue Gem (I) + 🟨Yellow Gem] Tablet + [🟨Yellow Gem -> +🟨Yellow Gem] 3x + [🟪Purple Gem + 🟨Yellow Gem -> 🟪Purple Gem (I)] Tablet + [🟪Purple Gem (I) +🔵 Blue Gem (I) ->🟪 Purple Gem (II)] Tablet this strats was one of the strats used on the Endless Stage before this one!
reading is hard, i never know the tablet has passive effect until i actually click on it

Thank you for all of the explanations in the replies in addition to the video 😭🙏 it helped me understand!
Bro I might be dumb but I cannot complete this event easily. I am in tears bro.

Jesus there wasnt anything about passive effects in the tutorials, how was i supposed to know this?!

Something is wrong, this damn mission always merges the 3 tablets into one, I can't proceed
Same like wtf

at 0:13 you can see that i did not put both of the red gemstone engraving on the table and still able to clear it! hope i make it clear 😆

Been playing since September and this is the worst event minigame so far.
xD i can see what you mean by that, but once you get the hang of it, its quite easy and satisfying (especially hearing the sfx)
Does anyone know how to utilise the purple ones? They seem kinda hard to use
you can use them for endless with the combo of [🔵Blue Gem -> 🔵Blue Gem (I) + 🟨Yellow Gem] Tablet + [🟨Yellow Gem -> +🟨Yellow Gem] 3x + [🟪Purple Gem + 🟨Yellow Gem -> 🟪Purple Gem (I)] Tablet + [🟪Purple Gem (I) +🔵 Blue Gem (I) ->🟪 Purple Gem (II)] Tablet
this strats was one of the strats used on the Endless Stage before this one!
Thanks subscribed
thx
😅
I know how to pass that, thank you
