Very Interesting. We used tight bunch as ourbase formation this year with great success. Ran 3 passes, inside zone, Qb iso, Qb sweep and some motions. Nobody could stop it.
I love how it messes with the defense. Forcing them to check the coverage while accounting for all the gaps will either steal a bunch of practice time or have them be unprepared. A win for the offense either way.
I’m incorporating it heavily this year.. what passes did you use? I have a stick concept, a play action boot with a Y cross, and a return motion smash concept(post corner, whip, return motion behind the lob). And then a fade to backside wr, hitch to backside wr.
Duo RT would have the same assignments as Inside Zone LT, but instead of zone blocking and comboing, it’s down blocking and double teams/deuces. RB also reads it differently. On Duo, he reads the play-side linebacker. If LB fills, bounce it out, and if LB scrapes, cram it. Rams bunch passing concepts are nasty...other teams are starting to use them..but mcvay is hyper creative
