Great video, I’ve already suscribed to your channel. Although I’m more of a fan of San Martin ‘s Tudor homages, this homage to the Longiness Spirit is hand down one of their finest. Thanks for sharing.
@@charliealva4833 Welcome to the fam, mate! I was eyeing their Tudor homage but there was already plenty of reviews of it at that time, so I couldnt convince my wallet to go for it 😅 Thanks for commenting, much appreciated!
Thanks for the review. I own the real Zulu Time 39mm and it's a fantastic watch. I'm pretty curious about the San Martin version and am actually considering getting it at some point to compare with my Longines. I have two watches with 21mm lug width and have amassed some straps for them so if I get this watch it could help with getting some more use out of those straps. LOL!
My pleasure, Im glad you enjoyed the review 😊 Would definitely be really interesting to hear what you have to say about how they compare in case you would get the San Martin! And I assume you want to be more careful with a watch in that price range, so having a beater alternative isn't that bad is it haha? 😉 I have ordered two 21mm leather straps for mine, will see how it pairs once they arrive
I just put it on the watch accuracy meter app for you, "dial up" reads +1 second & "dial down" reads -1 second /day. With my NH movement I think I'm lucky, don't expect every NH movement to be exactly like this, also real life usage differs from static testing. Looking at other peoples experiences with their San Martins, it's clear to me that San Martin calibrate their watches before sending them out, so it shouldn't disappoint you 😊
I got it. It is great and it will be my "green" watch going forward. I have one critique. The 24 hour digits on the bezel should have been color matched (or semi close) to the 12 hours digits on the dial instead of the semi orange color,
I recently looked at the Longines original version and it is a stunner. Their sapphire crystal does a perfectly curved dome that hugs the bezel smoothly (doesn't stick out like this San Martin) and is just the right size and weight for my 6.5" wrist. It also has a push button strap release, which is awesome and every watch should have. My big problem with the Longines, however, is there's no "on-the-fly" adjustment. Big mistake as this San Martin has it. For that reason alone, I may just spring for this San Martin. It's 90%-95% as good at 10% of the price (but I do love the Longines a lot).
@@Uh-huh-uh-huh I think the San Martin should fit your wrist better as it has shorter lug to lug and they curved down more than the flatter lugs of the longines, also your save a fortune 😉
That is a very nice watch and review 🙂 San Martin quality is to notch ! The only things that bothers me a little bit are the male end links on the bracelet, and the blue AR coating of the crystal 😉
Hello my friend! That is a good question, it is hard for *me* to say which one brings more value for *you* I would say that ofcourse the San Martin is worth more and has expensive features like on-the-fly adjustment clasp & more consistent finishing overall. But for less than half the price of San Martin, you get a Specht & Söhne that is 80% just as good. I think you will be happy with either one, but if you have a small wrist, then the San Martin is better for you Maybe if you can tell me which Specht model you are comparing to, and if you have already watches and which ones you have
Drats! ! I JUST pulled the trigger on the Pagani Spirit Zulu as no one else was doing one (and the price was finally down to $110). Dangit. Guess the good news is now I can also get the SeaQ homage from Seestern (S434 v2) for under $140 right now so those two combined are cheaper than this one.
