Hi Todd and Connie! The town of Kings Mountain is a nice place, very clean and peaceful with interesting shops, and very historic. That park is beautiful with so much landscape character to includes that mesmerizing water fall. The Joy theater is a wow factor and is very well maintained. I'm sure it's patrons thoroughly enjoy the live theatrical productions that take place inside this beautiful, historic art deco place. I truly enjoyed the tour of this town.
My home town. KM was booming in the 50's and 60's. Quite a few textile mills were running multiple shifts back then. Downtown even had parking meters on both sides of the railroad track and on Saturday you might have to circle around a few times to find an empty space.
