Just amazing! The highlight of my 2014 visit to New Orleans was meeting and saying hi to Matt Bracken and Jason Lawrence. I've also had the pleasure of meeting Todd Day Wait's Pigpen here in San Diego. I see Tuba Skinny representing as well. I've got get back there sooner than later. So much fun!
+Helder Varela Look again, because Dizzy, from Matt Bracken's Yes Ma'am, is playing washboard. She's behind Matt, to his left. Robin is playing drums, in the back, wearing a hat, to Matt's right, but you can't hear him very well. AT 4:18 Dizzy is clearly playing the break on washboard. Maybe buy a new pair of ears? :)
I don't see Robin yet. But I see a 2nd washboard player. She is behind the banjo player (yellow t-shirt), to his right. And now I see a 3rd washboard player! He and Dizzy are both playing in the break, he can be seen at about 4:22.
+Steve Dixon Yes, there are in fact three washboard players, but the other two aren't doing much of anything, which is why I didn't mention them. Dizzy is very well known and is doing all the work and the one you're hearing on that break. The girl is barely moving her hands. In fact, at first, I didn't even think she was playing a washboard ! The other guy is also playing too meekly too be heard over Dizzy. You can tell easily by how little they move their hands and arms compared to Dizzy. Also, I know Dizzy's breaks and style and that's all her. Robin is a little hard to see but at 02:00 you can find him on the left of the screen, in the back, way behind Matt and the other guitar player who's next to Matt, wearing the blue cap and white shirt. He's right next to the other washboard player.
Such a shame things have changed so much in NOLA since this video was uploaded. This was back before everyone drank the cnn koolaid, and NOLA was fun. Sure didn't seem like any monuments to fallen Confederate soldiers were oppressing anyone in that crowd to me.
Nice, smooth camera work. Great sound capture. Magic street fun. Thanks for sharing a great group of people jamming together.
You call it good camera work when the cameraman manages to hide Dizzy behind a guitar player during the entire piece?
'Toots' Thielemans on harmonica.... 😊❤
He would have been proud of this performance.
What a brilliant band, love the sound, and the Baby held by the Trumpet player is a bonus! Magic stuff Thank From Melbourne Australia.
Just amazing!

4 trombones even more remarkable!
Wha's the story on Doug David, they were taking donation for his cause. Harmoica player is awesome. even John Sebastian's father would be impressed.

Robin Rapuzzi at minute 2" !!!
uaoooooooooooooooo
r u fucking kidding me...amazing@!!!!!
It is classic case of role reversal
Very nice, but why is Dizzy hidin' behind a guitar player? The cameraman must have been smoking something strong.
4:07 - 5:45 ... some cowbell needed, --Shaye provides :)
Surely the key fact is that Mum is playing trombone and Dad is playing trumpet and holding the toddler !
Who seems enthralled by the 6'2" female tb.
It’s a cornet
condemned. You've too much!
Sounds like a blues in G.
Begad, you be right! So what's the D deal??? Discuss.
Before you play, tune your guitar.
