There were two Professors from SLU on that flight. Husband and wife. They were in their thirties and had just gotten their adopted child. She was with her grandmother while they took this flight. I did the adoption study just shortly before this and I've always wondered how the baby is doing. charles mayeux
Hey Chris. Read my post. My mom's family were friends of Mr and Mrs Joe Iverstine. Mr Joe's momma worked at the Hammond JC Penny's store. Thank you for remembering them too. ❤️
I will never ever forget flight 759. On board was Mr and Mrs Joe Iverstine from Hammond Louisiana. Mr Joe was on the Tangipahoa school board. He and his wife after many years of failed pregnancies had just adopted a newborn. Mr Joe's mom said Mrs Iverstine didn't want to go to this school board conference in LasVegas but Mr Joe talked her into going and had assured her that the baby would be fine with their parents for a short while . They were on this flight. Both Mr Joe and Mrs Joe Iverstine s parents ( eho were up in age ) raised this little girl. She's now married and a mother too. Many times throughout my life , I have reminisced about this fateful day. I was a Senior in high school and married 5/29/1982. It took me many years to get over the fear of flying. God bless Missy and her family.
