Awww, that's so sweet Valerie, and welcome! Many of the recipes have the ingredients in the description box. My older videos don't but I let the viewer know what I use and how much at the beginning. If you EVER have a question, please don't hesitate to ask. Again, thanks and welcome! XO
I’m so happy I was watching Emmy and read some of the comments. I have never heard of Kasha. I am definitely going to try this recipe. It is like pot pie with no crust.
Hello BH, and welcome! Thanks so much, you will love this. Yes, exactly what I say in the video. Like chicken pot pie without the crust! LOL! You can add peas and mushrooms too if you like! Let me know how it turned out! Thanks for your comment and for watching!
This is a new one on me and I agree it's the inside of a chicken pot pie with no crust....it looks delicious Dan. I'd like some homemade biscuits with it!!
Thanks Linda. It is! LOL Garlicky and creamy. Homemade biscuits would be perfect with it! It's amazing how simple ingredients are some of the tastiest! TFW! XOX
Good recipe 👍. In Russia, we call kasha any cereal cooked in milk or broth, and in some recipes we also use meat, vegetables, boiled eggs, and mushrooms.
@@jinn2722 LOL. Yes, Kasha is also a grain, so it can be confusing. But this is what we call this recipe in Macedonia. You should try it. It's very good!
that would make such a hearty meal especially in the spring when homes are low on stores. add a few potatoes into it and stretch it even more and still be delicious
You are right. It is hearty, and really anything the household had they could have added. Many had dried mushrooms, so they would reconstitute them in water, and add them. Thanks for the comment, and please keep watching! Cheers! XO
Thanks Diane! I love Emmy too! And thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. Macedonian food is so good. Very rustic and down to earth! Thanks for taking the time to pop over and check me out!
It is actually very much like a frikassé. Leave it a bit thicker and add boiled potatoes and you have a chicken frikassé (would prefer more carrots and maybe some leeks). Personally I would swap the chicken with soy medallions (rehydrated and marinated)! YUM! 😊
That's the great thing about cooking and learning new recipes. You can adapt it to your taste! This was a poor mans meal, and I wanted to show it how it was originally made However, tweek away my friend. It IS however, delicious!
