    Can't wait for that Streakfly 2. It really does look amazing - Basically the same geometry as the Dragonfly but higher stack and a Carbon Plate.

      🎯
      I’ve also heard they are going to make a spiked version of the SF2 for Nike athletes… for training…. That should also be great, though we will never see it.

      @SagasuRunning Oh Yes, that would be amazing. Always dread the frozen or snowy Track we sometimes get here.

      @robin29991 Here I worry more about the truck being so hot it scorches my feet through the spikes…

      I'm kind of excited, but also afraid that the plate will ruin this shoe.

      I don't know if it can even be called 'ruining' because its really a completely different shoe...@@ucatani

    Another great comparison. The best on RUclips.

    The Streakfly is the hidden gem of the Nike lineup. The 6mm drop is chefs kiss

      Agree... it was a shoe that did so much. As much as I like the RF4, it's not exactly a total replacement. I wonder if Nike will do a shoe like the SF again. Good thing the Peg Plus gives most of the SF feel and the Adios 9 exists.

    I just got a pair of the Streakflys and I’m absolutely loving them so far. I’ve got two workouts in them so far and I’ve been really impressed. Great on roads and track. Still a great shoe even in 2025.

      Wait until you try the Adios 9... same feel, more durability.

    Streakfly is a great shoe. Light, oddly stable, bouncy, grippy and fast.

      Agree... sad to see it go and wondering if Nike will do a shoe (a race flat) like this again. Good thing the Peg Plus gives most of the SF feel and the Adios 9 exists.

    Loved the video. Threw a curveball on me with the streakfly being in the mix 😂. After watching this, i’m gonna go with the adidas adios 9. Durability is a big factor for one, but from my interpretation you said the adios captures the feel of the streakfly but has more innovated technology in the upper portion and outsole. You were right about another thing however. I still do want both shoes😂. Thank you for the video!

      @SagasuRunning  13 часов назад +2

      The A9 definitely is the more durable SF. It’s not as resilient, but it’s close. It does have a softer door feel due to the outsole. It’s a very enjoyable ride.

    I'm a pre-carbon plated racing flat runner. The Streakfly 2 reminds me of the Metaspeed LD. Is $60 USD a good price for the Rival Fly 3? The 4 is hard to find.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  4 часа назад +1

      RF3 is a totally different shoe. More like a Pegasus 36.5, nothing at all like the RF4. Unless you are in a rush, I'd wait to find a RF4.
      The SF2 is going to be MUCH more aggressive than the Metaspeed LD (which i tried on and found just sort of "flat"). iw as really curious about that shoe at one point and though it was maybe a good option for track work for me, a while bac, when I didn't want to deal with spikes.

    Have you already got your hands on the Evo SL? am curious how the use case overlaps with the SL2.

      @SagasuRunning  4 часа назад

      The Evo SL is the next shoe up on the channel... massive content dump on it starting this week and running week into next week. I won't be doing a "vs" comparing it the the SL2 directly, but I will discuss it...

    I came to the realization that the when the Streakfly 1 it had problems with sizing. It didn't fit very well and I never liked it even though now having another pair in the same size the fit is better. I do like a racing flat feel and one of my favorite shoes was the lunar epic flyknit and loved the feel of the lunarlon. The rival fly 4 doesn't get much mention here, but definitely will give it a try.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  Час назад

      Ya… I had a release color way of the SF that I remember being very roomy in the tow area. The subsequent pairs I bought after they all, while still roomy, had better fits. Sometimes shoes do change slightly in production.
      Sounds like you’ll enjoy the RF4. Temper expectations, it’s not a top tier shoe, but it’s a very fun and solid flat. I’m glad Nike still makes it.

      @@SagasuRunning I am actually thinking of it as an easy day shoe as you mentioned some of us like to run in racing flats. I used to run in free runs which was kind of the same. I have also realized that the cushioned shoe trend hasn't worked for me. Probably going to return the Zoom Fly 6 for the Rival 4 and use the extra to be used for the VF4 when it comes out. Hopefully it'll go back the VF next% 1.

    The upper of the streakfly (literally) rubbed me the wrong way. I seemed like a good design but just fit slightly odd for me causing blisters on my left foot - which is rare for me - and that limited my use. I also found a kind of bottom out sensation when used off of the track. That may be a function of me as a larger person over 188cm.
    I had a similar bottoming out sensation (and blisters in the Puma Liberate). It’s not necessarily a bad feeling but that you have distinctly maxed out the elastic curve of the shoe midsole compression. It seems a sensation only possible in supercritical airy midsole materials. I didn’t have the same thud even in something like the Streak LT - which admittedly didn’t have a lot of midsole to compress.
    Did you experience that sort of bottoming out sensation in any of those shoes?

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  13 часов назад

      Nope… I never had that sensation in the SF and haven’t experienced it in the Peg Plus either. I do plan on seeing if I can get it in the A9 though.

    I’ve never seen the nike Rival Fly 4 anywhere in Europe, i don’t know if it will be commercialized there. Anyway I have 2 pairs of streakfly already so i don’t think I will buy another shoe of this type soon 😅

    So the Streakfly 2 is becoming more like the Takumi Sen?🤔

    • @brianreiter5572
      @brianreiter5572 13 часов назад

      I think the Takumi Sen 10 is closer to a Vaporfly in dimensions and weight. That StreakFly 2 reminds me of the Jenny Simpson New Balance 5280 which was a specialty road mile or 5k shoe - a road “track spike”.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  13 часов назад +1

      Yup. Though more aggressive and more focused for short road distances.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  13 часов назад +1

      The Takumi Sen 10 is closer in dimensions but the ride is totally different. The Evo 1 runs much more like the Vaporfly….
      The Takumi Sen has become the odd shoe out in the lineup now…

  • @SPR000AA
    @SPR000AA 5 часов назад

    I said I'd love a Dragonfly for the road before the Streakfly 2 existed so I'll be so disappointed if I don't like that shoe. Might look at getting a DF2 resoled if I don't 😂.
    I actually went down half a size on the Streakfly as per what you said. I'm only really using it as a cushioned track shoe although I've used it a little for easy road stuff.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  4 часа назад +1

      Oh man, an actual road DF2...I mean you can already do that with the Dragonfly XC...technically. There is also the Rival Waffle, though that one isn't as aggressive.

    • @SPR000AA
      @SPR000AA 3 часа назад

      @SagasuRunning yes I almost wrote the DF XC actually and I have that already, hopefully I don't need to experiment though. Rival Waffle is quite weighty for what it is, I have the Victory Waffle 5 which is a lot lighter but is basically a barefoot shoe on road.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  3 часа назад

      ...enter the Adios 9, which literally has a bulletproof outsole.
