Your welcome VF and thank you for the map tour and feedback, i made it feel as best i could as a Scottish map but due to limited resources i have to work with what i have and sadly there are no UK houses i can use and i wanted to step away from the French houses so it felt like something fresh and not a copy paste feel to it. I have been working on the map since January don't want to try and estimate how many hours that is in GE and then in game testing. A big thank you to Disturbed Simulations for his contributions to help bring that immersion with his work in the xml files for the GEO, weather and missions vehicles and finally thank you to all the testers who have sunk countless hours helping testing and are still testing as we speak.
Just started playing on this map thank u so much I love this map everything about it makes me feel like I’m in Scotland for me I enjoy the game much much more 👍🙂🙂
Cavalier has done a really nice job with this map. Been fun to add some little extras to make it feel more like Scotland. The geo includes cotton, sugarcane, grapes and olives so people can use all the crops, they are just set as base game. Cotton and sugarcane shouldn't appear on NPC fields with how things are set up. The weather is also set to be a lot more variable than all the base game maps, it is Scotland after all.
@@DisTurbedSimulations I agree with you on the quality for sure, deflnitely well put together map, but as for overall feel, it doesn't feel Scottish in any way shape or form unfortunately.
I like the way that Cavalier Roy lays out his farm yards but I wish he would use some customized or even Modhub buildings. Especially for the houses, they feel like they are just plopped down.
I'm playing a long-term Maypole Farm series. I've found the removable hedges to be a problem for in-game workers, they don't always see the posts, but they do (frequently) get stuck on them - on my series, I've taken to removing them and replacing with in-game hedges. But I will say the map edge on this map is seriously improved - Maypole can be a bit emersion breaking.
Sadly yes the posts in the hedges add to the tree count, however there is a light at the vehicle store which you can cut to remove almost every hedge off the map if you so wish.
A lot like Ebony Island, with bigger fields. It will be interesting to see if the new DLC will come into play with all the hills involved on this map. I have heard the hedges are installed on the map as trees on Ebony Island. They work and look great. But I have heard they are the reason you cannot plant/re-plant trees for production, or as placeables. Could you check to see if it is the same on this map? That would be my only minus that I can see. Thanks for the review.
Not a bad map but when you have a map based in a region of the world people expect to have that feeling. This one has nothing to do with Scotland. You want an Irish feeling? Play Ballyspring. UK map? Play Calmsden, Attingham Park, … You want a Scottish feeling? Don’t play this map. Again, thhe map looks good, don’t get me wrong, but it’s definitely not a Scottish map.

I'm with you Disturbed, sadly not many American style wooden houses up here.
@@TheFarmSimGuy Cav isn't a big 3d modeler, so works with Giants assets. I don't think it takes away from the overall feel and quality of the map.

I’d rather a west newton or gatehead revamp regarding a proper Scottish map looks bland like the other maps he rushed👍🏼

Scottish map with American houses and French houses 😂
Map looks great
Strange that you can't sell Iron Ore considering so much of it is used in Scotland to make IRN BRU
Did anyone notice the cows in the sky at 4:00
Those are deer's, sadly that's a common thing on maps with lots of tree's.
