I'm not saying CRIMEAPPLE is biting the drip, because he has his own flow completely, but the beats/videos/style are really similar to Conway, WSG, and Bennys.
He may have been influenced by newer New York artists such as Griselda, but New York artists have been making grimey boom bap or sampled beats since the 80’s.
