A hatchback Model 3, basically a smaller Model Y? And at $25k? I’m in.
I don't think the cypethud is doing too well. How long would it have taken to make a variant on the 3? I'm betting there are quite a few people who don't need a minivan that does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, but just need accessible space. I know if a 3 hatch was available I would have purchased it in a heartbeat.
I bought a leaf over a 3 because hatchback, buttons, stalks, drivers display and way cheaper. True not as good a road tripper but for my daily use much better.
You're in what? Buying stock..
@@HypocritesExposd $25k? What can you buy for $25k? A stripped down basic Honda Civic?
The turn signal buttons on the Cybertruck are terrible (can get stuck, don’t work 100% of the time). I still believe removing the stalks is the worst change made.
Removed turn stalks will also cause EURO NCAP safety rating to drop. Any sane company would therefor not remove stalks at least for Europe (which has a gazillion roundabouts where the stalks suck big time) Which means Musk will do it anyway.
This is the main reason why I’m not buying the new model 3. it is so stupid that they took away the stocks and don’t give us the option of a head up display.
I agree. Good news is I have seen that there are some 3rd party companies developing aftermarket stalks that work similar to the S3XY buttons already available.
You can buy aftermarket stalks to highland
I drove an M3P today and the buttons are easy to get used to. I was using them fine 5 minutes into the test drive.
It’s pretty simple, the three cars under cover will be the new model 2, the roadster 2.0, and the robo-taxi. The one that looks like a van is likely the robo-taxi.
a cargo van, roadster and robo taxi
the roadster is already announced years ago so dont think they will cover it up again; it is just haven't go into production
so likely the $25k cheaper model aka "model 2", the van and cybercab
Ryan, your audio dropped out for about 45 seconds beginning at 10:15. Great video and info nonetheless!❤
It's secret information that Tesla doesn't want released.
Mine cuts out at 10:12 until 10:31.
Mine too.
Nobody does not a tesla app like Ryan.
it's probably when copyrighted music came in
The roadster does not need to be exteme. It just needs to be attainable, and built.
Elon knows only one way. Extreme.
Don’t rush Tesla. It‘ll be worth the wait.
And hold the sensors, screens, gps, wifi, cameras....
@@duanebonney Don't rush Tesla. That funny. R2 is 7 was announced 7 years ago. $50k is a lot of money to put into another company's domain. I wonder if Tesla is giving the depositors compounded interest on their deposits
I disagree-I think it should be extreme. The ultra luxury car market is smaller, and if Tesla wants to corner that market the Roadster has to be way better than anything on the market.
If it can do 0-60 in under 1 second, nobody else will be able to claim to be faster than the Model S Plaid by 0.1 second. If it’s undisputedly faster than everything, every celebrity will buy one and the other rich folks will follow.
Low volume, high margin, best of the best.
I can’t afford one, but I think they should shoot for the moon! Even if it’s $400k but it can beat the most expensive combustion super car, then it’s game over for gasoline.
It will only be released when it’s an undisputed hardcore smackdown to internal combustion cars. That’s how it should be. It will be the flex of all flexes.
If you have $50,000 to drop on a deposit for $250,000+ car, then congratulations and good for you. I’m not going to shed any tears over you waiting for the best car in the world. 😂
I just bought a 2024 Model 3 Long Range and I absolutely love it! I waited 6 years to buy this car and I’m glad I waited until now because they finally have it dialed in to perfection.
I’ve only had it for a week and I’m already falling into the normal trap of human psychology-instead of being satisfied with my amazing car that is mind blowing to my friends and family, I’m already trying to decide between the Model 3 performance or Model S for my next car.
To anybody with a deposit on the Roadster, trust me-it’s worth the wait!
Humans always want more, even if we already have the best. When you get your Roadster, there will literally not be a better car in the entire world.
At that point, you’ll have to self-reflect on the meaning of life and what truly makes you happy, because even infinite money won’t be able to buy you a better car! 😂🤣 🚀
If advance orders for the about to go on sale here in the UK MG roadster, there is big demand for an electric roadster, even a relatively expensive but not super lux one. Tesla is being left behind on that front here in Europe.
I’m used to Elon’s hyperbole, and accept it. He still has delivered the best and easiest to live with EV fleet on the market. 5 vehicles in the current lineup and each of them best in class for EVs, especially when factoring in the supercharger network. With Optimus eventually on the way and with the battery storage business, the future looks very bright for Tesla. Pay attention to what he does more than what he says.
Ryan, I appreciate your professionalism in delivering TSLA info. Thank you!
It would be nice to have an emergency switch or button in the robotaxi in case something going on
2:20 The robotaxi will not take cars off roads or reduce congestion, only public transit or ride-sharing can do that....
Content creator is not thinking things through, if the car is in use and on the road more time during the day meaning 1 car can do what 4 were doing that reduces cars by 3. Or 1/4 the cars on the road 4x as much means no change in amount of traffic, Duh!!! I'm fact traveling empty between rides will mean more traffic. But it WILL mean fewer parking spaces needed.
Could be, might be, maybe, should be, possibly. Really?
Really. anything is possible.. but! didn't Elon tweet that FSD will be very difficult to achieve on the current hardware platform?
second, Tesla's board of directors informed JP Morgan that the robotaxi will be built on the next gen chassis.
new model 2 pushed to 2026. lol it's all bs and fairytales.
A non news video. Pressure of churning out youtube videos....
There's no way robotaxi will "take cars off the road". Currently, the cars are only on the road when moving people, but robotaxi will be also be on the road when empty. Also while cars usually carry one or two passengers, they can accommodate 4-7 (depending on vehicle) and robotaxi can not. So that also adds some more cars on the road.
There may be fewer cars needed in total and there may be a reduced need for parking spaces, but there'll be more cars on the road.
The future idea is to allow Tesla owners to rent out there cars into the Taxi pool, like an AirBnB, allowing your car to be an income stream.
@@KRapPsychic yea right, this was promised back in 2019? Anybody made $30k Elon promised?
@@KRapPsychic I understand the idea of renting cars out etc... But I'm not talking about business model of robotaxi. There was a claim in the video, that robotaxi will "take cars off the road" and it simply won't. Math says "nope". It might reduce the overall number of cars, the number of cars sitting, waiting in parking spots and so on, but not the number of cars on the road.
@anolegian99 i remember. even if that were the case, tesla will take a huge cut
@@kickassgreek yes, Tesla is providing the infrastructure, just like Uber does. It’s sort of the electric version of the company Getaround, if they are still around. Cleaning/charging of your vehicle is a big question mark though. I guess return to the original pick up place. And do renters drive or just go full FSD on your vehicle? So to join the program, do you pay $8k ante, or $100/month for FSD, plus other fees and per rider splits?
You did not say anything about the megapack, this is Tesla's biggest growth until we get to Optimus or robotaxi. I think Tesla robotaxi will be launched in China first. Then the US.
its spam.
From what has been reported elsewhere, Tesla does not have the database for learning for China that they do in the US, and the regulatory situation is not as favorable.
Taxis will be trashed in short order. Then they’ll be removed. How did all others fare? (Bikes/scooters)
Looking forward for the next gen of optimus robots 😎
Damn the roadser looks good from behind
That's all you're ever gonna see, unless it's airborne! Good to know it's gonna make you happy.😂
Cybertruck probably doesn't have FSD yet, simply because the cameras on it don't match, so it needs to build its own database for FSD. Tesla getting their AI system to fully recognize every object as an actual object and not a 2D set of pixels might be the key. I'm sure they are still working on that.
You show a child, what a table is, the child will figure out a table in any other form, most of it correctly. That is how an AI system should be built, just a different rehash on your take.
Tesla and Musk probably hurt their licensing abilities when they fired the supercharger team and delayed NACS access for all the automakers that made deals with Tesla. That had to have really affected other companies’ faith in Tesla being able to deliver and uphold their ends of deals, which would make them cautious to sign another deal with Tesla and probably bring the price they’re willing to pay down due to the uncertainty
a robo taxi using FSD? yikes! no thanks. I prefer life.
What an odd comment. Have you actually experienced FSD? Currently almost flawless. Improving very rapidly. Maybe totally flawless one day soon.
No worries, it won't become reality anytime soon. Robotaxies would mean it would have to be certified as being able to be fully autonomous. Tesla has NO certification about any level of autonomy. Mercedes has level 3 but only under a million limiting factors. But they'll take responsibility if you have a problem. Tesla would have to do the same which they can't because FSD, while driving much more impressively than Mercedes' limited system, will crash you in an unforseen event and Tesla will just tell you it was a beta and your fault that you relied on the system.
I have it and I trust it more than a lot of the idiot human drivers out there!
@@agentred8732I’ve seen videos and I think it’s getting there, but there are some scenarios I still worry about if there are no human controls. For example, driving down a street with parallel parking. I can see a kid running off the sidewalk, disappearing between two parked trucks, and I can intuit that the kid will likely run out from between the trucks into the street and I can slow down or stop. But I’m not sure Tesla FSD understands that. It may see pedestrian on sidewalk then pedestrian gone. It has superior reflexes for when the kid re-appears but it will carry a higher speed into that situation and sometimes reflex speed can’t beat physics.
Similarly, we can pick up on a lot of cues from other drivers that the technology can’t at this point.
I’m looking forward to self-driving cars being ubiquitous (if only for selfish reasons) but there are still a lot of uncommon encounters that I’m concerned still merit a human being able to take control, or at least set a speed decrease.
I would like to see Tesla improve the existing line especially in the UI.Better and cheaper battery packs for the cars will be great as well. I really have no issues with my Model 3 LR.
Reminds me of “Johnny Cab” from Total Recall 👍
The difference between CT and roadster is people weren’t promised free CTs for “free” marketing or plunking down a 1/4 of a million dollars for a product
How does robotaxi work during surge needs like going to work and back? Where do the extra cars come from?
How about some easy software updates like 360 degree camera when backing up or parking? How about a roof that closes for those of us in Texas where the sun's heat is a thing?
Nice round up Ryan!! 😎
How does the robotaxi clean up the vomit and other messes that passengers leave behind? How does it get washed? I envision a bunch of cars filthy inside & out that would make a bus/subway look like a cleanroom. How does it load walkers & wheelchairs for the disabled? I see massive ADA issues.
How does a robotaxi charge itself? battery swap model like NIO?
They have wireless charging already in the works check it out
@@Oregonwildman1wireless charging, what could go wrong. Lol
I really don’t understand why they want to prioritize the robotaxi project. I understand FSD is Tesla’s future but come on Elon not all of us can afford the Model 3 some of us just want the cheaper Model 2
Will semi have improvements once it starts production?
Semi is still basically a beta product. They've been working with Pepsi to work out the kinks before production and improvements are being pushed out on the fly. They will expand to additional companies shortly but are unlikely to enter full scale production for some time as the factory in Nevada to build them at scale is still under construction. First production of the "Finished" product won't be until late 2025 at the earliest.
@@Ryan-ff2dbplus the infrastructure to charge them hasn’t been built. They aren’t going to recharge at your local supercharger. If they can only charge at the company’s depot, they won’t be effective for long hauls for a long time without truck stops to charge them.
@@KRapPsychic True, Pepsi has Mega-chargers at their distribution centers and they charge them over-night. Trucks used for distribution rarely if ever travel more than 500 miles in a day, which is Semi's range. Tesla is building out Mega chargers at locations along major routes for longer hauls but like the truck itself mega chargers are still in the testing phases.
Listening to Elon for accurate news about Tesla is like...Listening to Elon, we all know his track record and if he was believed, we would all be driving flying Teslas that go 500 miles for $30k
I've had a recent test drive in the new Model 3 since my current Model 3 is nearly 4 years old. It took me less than 5 minutes to get used to being stalkless...
How about better range? Enough of how it looks.
Tesla: We are at the forefront of robotics.
Boston Dynamics: How so ? 😅
I recon it will be Ford that will use FSD. Given the relationship between Elon and Jim.
Omg this was such an exciting video. Thanks 🙏 heaps for all the info Ryan.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hopefully model Y refresh will also raise the ground clearance by a couple of inches...
Affordable repair cost and low battery replacement cost are the key. No matter the cost of car is 25k or below.
not having stalks, would most likely prevent some from even considering the vehicle. i'll keep my current one that has stalks, thank you, perhaps a company like S3XY Buttons can address this for those that want to have stalks?
Already been done. Check the RUclipsrs. I'm in the market to trade up to an S, but it will be used. I want stalks and chrome. Lack of stalks and yokes are idiocy. Like FSD and Robotaxi.
Wa just wondering... when a Robotaxi fails or has issues, then what? Call another and abandon the bad one?
Can you cover TesDisplay app one that mirrors phone to Tesla at length in one of the episodes
Ryan, brilliant summary of Tesla's amazing and interconnected product range. Many thanks, Eamon
The future is so bright 🌞 I gotta wear shades 😎
No, you got rose coloured glasses on.
I’m a Tesla fan, but autopilot will not let you lol
What about the roadster, the roadster isn’t on that car line up at 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
I thought referral links were not working any longer.
Model S/X needs more than just ambient lighting and a front camera. they need an extensive refresh of their exteriors, many people now feel that the model 3 performance is the best loking tesla since the refresh.
Good job, Ryan. I'm a new subscriber and appreciate your thoughtful and logical possible forecasts.
Thanks and welcome
Ryan, how will the robo-taxi stay charged if it is in constant use?
@@duanejahn2368 it charges by using static energy in the natural environment mixed with weed. It's also what Elon uses when predicting the future date of FSD completion.
It can't be in "constant" use. It will stop occasionally.
Great content
So Ryan do you have any idea why or when Tesla will be introducing vehicle to grid on all their vehicles like all other manufacturers? If they don’t this, this would be flying in the face of their corporate mission statement, seems odd it isn’t discussed or a high priority, don’t you think?
Tesla needs to step back from production at this point and spend a little bit working on service center capacity. We have on a regular basis here 3+ weeks to get an appointment even for basics such as an alignment.
Model name suggestions “2 S 3 X Y 4 U” model 2 for cheap alternative model 4 as a mini van or ride share vehicle , and U for utility van or delivery vehicle
Please leave your thoughts
From earning a honest buck-from owning a selfdriving Tesla to robotaxis - seems like Tesla easily forget previus promises to their customers. By the way .. Robotaxi, when Vision Parking cannot even recognise a red pillar i a parking lot😂.
They will NEVER release a Roadster - they owe too many free ones from the referral program.
They only owe 80 to people that generated millions and millions of dollars - you had to refer like 50 people before you got a Roadster. If you were a Tesla salesman and sold 50 Teslas you'd be getting a free car, too. Truth is Tesla has bigger fish to fry than a Roadster - been there done that 17 years ago - my 1st ride in a Tesla was the Roadster. 😎
@@cuda426hemi Just saying Tesla is a business first. Just like a 35-40K Model 3 suddenly became a 47K car when the tax credit became available.
@@mscolli3 You mean the Highland refresh? Of course a new vastly improved model cost more but your wrong about the tax incentive as prices in general for Teslas are cheaper than ever. The Plaid went down $30k in a matter of weeks after it came out at $120k. None of this has to do with Roadster V2 which as I said is not even in their list of to-dos. Right now it's all about August reveal, Robotaxi and Optimus, period full stop. 🎬
Don’t say that; a lawsuit is going to happen then 😂
Also the $25k car… THAT EVERYONE WANTS!!😡
i love tesla cars because i love driving them...i don't really care about the auto drive except the autosteer on freeways
The Model S will be the next vehicle that will get steer by wire. Making the yoke option in the Model S more pleasant and enjoyable. I will upgrade my 2020 Model S P.L. when I see that. 😁
10 new products? I only heard him talk about 1 product that I didn't know of before.
there is no roadster schedule, it will come out when the tech is there
It would be nice if they made a van like the ID Buzz for families
When will powerwall have V2H??!! GM, Ford, Hyundai, and now Rivian have it! How is it thay they dont use the car battery pack to expand their powerwall?!!
Tesla is teaming up with Aptera to make the Robotaxi which is really futuristic looking. The Aptera Robotaxi will have a Tesla motor instead of the wheel motors Aptera had hoped to use. It will give the Aptera a much-improved drivetrain, more tested and reliable. Tesla seats, Tesla Insurance, driver interface, infotainment system, Hardware 5, and perhaps steer-by-wire may be included.
I hope what you outlined turns out to be true. Aptera is playing the classic "how to go broke making a new car" playbook. Elon will teach them how to mass produce a wonderful idea.
@@oldwillytc6296 Very nicely written by the way. Agreed. Aptera's fresh look will jive up Tesla & potentially add a solar option to their other vehicles. (Strange that Tesla hasn't developed solar for itself.) Using Tesla parts, heated steering wheel, pedals, motors, heated/cooled seats, chargers, etc. will be a boon. Aptera needs Tesla's experience and mass-production practicality.
Geeze you listed off quite a few suppositions, which Tesla doesn't appear to have addressed. Here's the rototesa... coming soon. Sorry, that's the roadster 2....
Robo taxis won’t take vehicles off the road. The numbers of cars on the road is determined by the number of trips required and how many of those can be handled by the same vehicles. Unless you get people to share robo taxis the number of miles driven and traffic density will actually increase as robo taxis drive to pick up their next fairs. What will decline is the numbers of parking spaces required all over the country.
ride share is a big risk, there are only that many people who are willing to, at least today
I'd rather have my EV support V2H while it's sitting in the garage or driveway
Small Cybertruck half the size of present truck, I will buy one.
Will Tesla drop prices for the Model Y soon?. Would you Lease or Finance???
no
Why do you use the phrase "taking vehicles off the road"? If the so-far-hypothetical robotaxis rack up a lot of miles, that will reduce the total number of vehicles. But it won't reduce the number of vehicles on the road, since the robotaxis will presumably only be used for rides that someone would otherwise be doing themself. What robotaxis may be able to do is reduce the number of needed parking spaces. Only mass transit (or, to a lesser extent, ride sharing) can reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
If we wanted a cheap, no frills , short-range EV, the Nissan Leaf would be super popular.
ryan, elon made the robotaxi promise back in 2018.
While in theory it may reduce the number of actual vehicles produced (maybe), this idea that it will actually reduce the number of cars on the road at any given time is dead wrong. Taxis drive upwards of 50% of their time empty. That’s why many large downtowns have Taxi stands (to reduce congestion). The most efficient use of available roadway capacity is to have the individuals who will be in the vehicle to only use the vehicle when they actually need it. While this increases the number of actual cars produced, as long as you have adequate storage (parking), there is 100% efficiency when actually using the road infrastructure.
I don't understand how robo taxis will take cars off the road. I can see how they'd reduce the need for parking facilities and the number of cars in general but if you take a trip with your own car or a robo taxi that's still the same amount of cars physically on the road isn't it?
I'm sure I'm missing something though because I've heard it mentioned a few times when it comes to robo taxis but i don't quite get it.
EDIT: just to be clear i think there is a lot of value in the idea still, i just don't understand this specific claim.
My 2 cents, they might increase congestion as more people will skip public transportation & take a Robo and more people will take them more often because of their ease and price. So let's say there's 30 people on a bus but robo's become so cheap that all of them take 30 robo's, well now you went from one big bus to 30 cars all navigating the same road
One imagines if vehicles are utilised for most of the day by different people there’ll be fewer vehicles required by the population because fewer people will buy their own car. If people have to pay for each journey they’ll be less likely to do frivolous journeys or just go for a ride. On the other hand trains and buses might be less popular.
When did Tesla confirm the code name "Juniper"?
I would love to see a sub $45K mid-size truck that is more conventional in styling, think Rivian.
Aftermarket stalks are available for a reasonable price.
How ridiculous is it that we have to go to aftermarket to get something that should have came with the car !
@@user-rq1mk9hi4xI really don’t think they are needed in the US, roads are generally straight with 90 degree stops. But you have a good argument for Eurozone, more signaling on curvy roads.
When Hertz when bankrupt, I thought Tesla should had acquired them. Why? Need a place for there robotaxi to go 24/7 for storage, maintenance, and rent for those not sold on autonomy or like to drive.
High demand ruined the range on the CT. They will certainly bouble the range in the second gen. They need a luxury sub model of the s/x with massage seats and other higher end option that other chinese cars come with. Also the X need to come down to ~65k cause kia ev9 is now competing with it.
Unlike other car companies that have other cars to market when they announce new cars, Tesla has 2. If Tesla doesn't have something rolling off the assembly lines by the end of the year, I'm not sure how many times Tesla can announce futures with no delivery date. Then again, delivery dates haven't meant much
I'd argue the X might need a full redesign at this point, it has some compelling competition with the EV9 and R1S. Sort of a similar story with the S, why get an S when the M3P so so good for the money?
By the time the Roadster is "released", it will have 1,000 miles of range and amazing stealth technology that makes it impossible to see, hear or touch. You won't even know it is there. The price will be $350K and it will come with a certificate of authenticity to prove it was delivered to you.
The elusive $25,000 EV becoming tougher as the USA dollar continues downward slide. 2019 to now home/cars up over 42% increase. Gold $2300/ounce reflecting devalued dollar. Covid so much money printed that should not of been, inflation. Inflating monetary system caused inflation. Thx QE!
Could be worse could be China !
I don’t think they should spend the time or money on the roadster
The robot walks like fjb
I feel the Roadster will not be delivered for a whole because Elon owes free Roadsters to quite a few people. If I'm not mistaken, there was an incentive offered to people who used reached a certain number of referral codes. Simply putting that out there. No evidence whatsoever.
Can they give as a real SUV.
Tesla seriously needs to focus on more affordable options.
I didn't like the stalkless option but still purchased new M3 a few days ago. They did the free FSD transfer, that was the main reason. I do miss indicating the turning signals at times or click the wrong one, but it isn't as bad as long as you approach it with an open mind and just accept it. Many options are gone compared to my 2018 M3, again, it's a matter of accepting it. Never say never, I used to say I would never get this version, eating my own words. 2024 M3 is clearly better than the old one in many ways. One thing that is truly missing is a front bumper camera, with no ultrasonic sensors, it's limiting in some use cases (garage). One caveat, if you have issues with thumbs, tremor, arthritis, etc. you have a bit of hard time hitting those turn signals, etc. Since I drive close to 100% on FSD, it's not as critical, but something to note. Here in Utah turn signals seem to be optional for most Utahns, but a friend of mine did get a ticket for a "late" turn signal. Go figure. The weirdest thing for me, indicating the right signal is natural, do it automatically, but I often have to think for a second when clicking the left one (bottom button). Guess, I'll just make right turns only from now on. Or re-train my own neural net to get used to it. Time will tell.
I'll be upgrading my Model X to a new Model X when it has 800v/48v, steer by wire and AI5.
I like Elon’s forwarding looking innovation, but based on Elon time, and past promises of FSD and other vehicles, most announcements are late, with exception to Model Y, which I believe came in earlier than promised.
Elon, tesla are all in fsd as Elon said. billions spent alone this year into fsd, Tesla will achieve fsd sooner or later.
Billions more should go into battery range instead of Robo Tax. This will get consumers out of ICE into EV’s. Of course we need the more affordable Model 2 !
Robotaxi, Model 2, Roadster
Mod 2 , New Mod Y not refreshed , Commercial Van ,New Pickup, not Cyber Truck
Elon should just outright say that the 25k model is not possible. After extensive feasibility study, the 32k model is as cheap as we can make it; now stop bugging me about the 25k model.
"Elon announces" LOL - That gives about a 10% chance of it ever happening.
How would the robotaxi be revolutionary? Waymo is already doing it.
There is ONE BIG reason no roadster! A lot of people EARNED free ones thru the referral program and Tesla doesn’t want to pay them or give them their cars at 200k$+ pop. That’s pretty disgusting to screw people over who pimped the brand
Who will charge the car while it is on taxi service, before each trip? Does Tesla have a dedicated team to fix any issues on the road while the car is on autopilot taxi service?
0:24 u wild calling it dated
You try making cars then
The model Y, could gain more traction if they added (back) things "most" drivers are used to, Like stalks, turn on button, front display like S and X. It sells the way it is but with those options they could not handle the supply, I'm sure that's one of the reasons they don't do it. Don't get me wrong, the one thing I love about tesla is the "simplistic" approach. But what do I know. I don't run a multibillion company 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It would be wonderful if Tesla or another Musk enterprise would enter the field of mobility devices and prosthetics. What about something too advanced to be called a "Wheelchair," possibly combined with Optimus technology and controlled via Neuralink implant.
👍
Why are none of the disciples talking about Elons tweet hinting that HW3 won't be sufficient for true FSD?
Do people take Elon announcement seriously?
Tesla having a cheaper model would be nice but I think refreshing the existing line and offering more colors would help the company more starting with the Model Y. Instead of the roadster being a supercar it should be offered in an affordable model with a convertible version available.
Tesla lost what could have been a competitive advantage to Google by waiting to launch Robotaxis...
there are tons of Waymo's out, working through regulations and kinks, way ahead of Tesla.
I was recently in San Francisco and there are Waymo cars all over the city, and they're in LA, Phoenix, San Diego soon, not sure where else, but expanding rapidly. I took several rides and they were all very pleasant, safe, and comfortable (all Jaguar EVs).
