I've been thinking about what to say because I felt compelled to write something. I'm a Contemporary Veteran (Vietnam being my Father's time in service) I can say we haven't had much in way of films to show the Australian public our (the ADF) stories besides Gallipoli. This Story desperately needed to be told on film and I hope this can be the benchmark for more of our ADF stories to be told. Thank you for doing the hard yards in producing and for letting Veterans be part of the extras. Also give a hand shake to Travis Fimmel for taking up the challenge in playing Maj Smith😊
Plenty in the movie! Its just the way the trailer was shot focusing on key cast. D Company commander Harry Smith, CSM Jack Kirby, platoon sergeants and scouts all had M16's in this battle. Section commanders and radio operators had Owen machine carbine. There was one M60 per section and everyone else had an SLR.
This looks amazing and it's a great tribute to the brave men. I got tears in my eyes only from watching the trailer so I can only imagine how I will be watching the whole movie...I am really looking forward to see it though.
