She plays it really well. All the notes are played very well. The teacher is saying, have a way in your head to play it.

Respekt! Denis Rouger

the exchange from 18:59-19:06 is incredible to me. Ana plays the phrase extremely well and much more refined than during the runthrough and Hakan simply goes "Better."

Does anyone know where to get a copy of this music?

It is published by Marc Reift. There are also two Soviet editions that could be in public domain.

Håkan has really developed into a wonderful teacher! Not a fan of the accompanist’s “backseat (look at me, I know stuff too) questions”…not sure he know’s who Håkan is.

All sounds the same to me. Needs some Clifford Brown input.

She accepts mediocrity... without PRACTICING and PRACTICING and PRACTICING each of the phrases... to the point that she OWNS them. She needs to "milk" the cadenza even more... especially when it is she who CONTROLS every aspect of it.
Häkan shows her the way. It's ALL about how one does the PHRASING. Success comes when you ATTACK the piece.

Sounds like you're a real expert. Why don't you show us all how it's done.

@@awreckingball Wouldn't waste my time on the likes of you. By virtue of you saying what you are saying - when I have identified sound principles - just proves to me what little you know about the trumpet, much less performance. FYI -- I've had similar conversation with Esteban Batallan (after the time I wrote the above) who FULLY agreed with my assessment that directly paralleled what I wrote. In fact, he too tells ALL aspiring performers to BREAK DOWN the phrases and to work on each one independently... and THEN to put them together. Clearly, you're better than Esteban. So, live in you're delusionally rarified world.
