my 2009 chevy cobalt ls coupe needs a new starter as well .i am to old with health issues to do the work myself time to take it to the chevy dealership. i like watching these videoes. i used to do these my self when i was a young buck now this old man can no longer do it hee hee.
You are completely right. cars with California emissions have the secondary air pump and all the hosing underneath blocking the starter and would have to be removed and I didn't want to be laying underneath the car with my feet out in a parking lot with heavy traffic.

Do you have to jack it up like that if you remove it from the top?
Would have been a good idea to check the PCV hole in the intake to make sure it isn't blocked.🙂
i hate to break it to you, but no matter what anybody says you literally do not have to take all that shit off to take the starter off
