I find this video fascinating! The vivid detail and close ups of the movement and the face parts are entertaining and instructive. As I will soon receive my first Oris Diver 65 watch, this video resonates with me. Thank You.
Interesting, I always love watching these videos on my favourite watch manufacturer, I was expecting back to factory shine on the bronze, but I get why not, I have one and it just makes it more individual. 👏👍👌🤘🤙🖖✌
I think I would have personally removed the energy from the mainspring first, particularly when you look at the removal of the pallet fork at 1:17 😮 Otherwise, nice service of Bronze, as you don't want to interfere with the patina too much 👍
Terrific, tremendous piece. Here in Mexico I can't even find the strap for my watch with the authorized dealers, just to imagine a restauration for my watch sounds even worst.
For an mechanical watches, improtant to maintain regular service once every 4-5 years depending on use. For Diver watches, water resistance test recommended once every 2 to 3 years at the every least. You can contact our local service center or write to brand@oris.ch for more info.
the thing is though how much did it cost to do this restoration and what they charged. don't get me wrong I love Oris and own a couple vintage ones but getting your watch serviced with an AD always cost so much always go to your local watch maker or do it yourself just get the tools it's a very satisfying procedure to restore a watch
The recommended service for any mechanical watch is every 4 to 5 years, depending on usage etc. For diver watches, it is best to have the water resistance checked, once every two years or before any serious diving outing.
Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, is particularly resistant to corrosion. It has long been used in naval and professional diving applications including portholes and deck fittings as well as dive equipment and has therefore proven to be ideal for the new divers' watch.
I love that the dirt on the case is removed but the patina remains untouched 👌🏼
Yes, I also liked that 🙂
This video is next level service video, I don't think people realize how good it is, too few views. Music, filming, everything is epic.
One of your most interesting restoration videos to date. Keep this series up - really love them.
Why do I love Oris? Very simple, it is the best!
I keep coming to this video, truly what a majestic timepiece! Finally on september I will get my first Oris for my birthday. Can't wait!

I love this piece, amazing refurbishing and watch, thanks!
Glad you like it!
I love watching these restorations.
Seems like a very skilled watchmaker, I am impressed with which ease he treats these miniscule parts! Could be a bodybuilder too! Great physique!
This is why i study watchmaking. Keep making these video’s.
That's the plan! All the best on your watchmaking study.
i have never been interested in an ad up until now
Ive been considering this watch. Really nice to see an aged version.
Man its so satisfying to watch.

Beautiful. Still wear my 2001 BC3 Chronograph, had it serviced a few times in the States. Are you offering restoration services?

Is it difficult to learn how to do it yourself and is it easy to do something wrong and ruin the whole movement? Can it really be user-serviced?
I don’t think this is a type of job that you could “do on the fly” it takes serious skill to service a mechanical calibre.
Please make the aquis 39.5mm with polished tungsten bezel in a 41.5mm model
"Restored"....bold statement. Actually looks like watch just needed regular service, some soap, water and toothbrush...
General light cleaning is recommended, especially diver watches after exposing to seawater etc. But we do not recommend getting leather strap wet.
What is that gem kind of thing?
Even when it's just service, that's very early on a new model isn't it?

感觉修理太多了
Moral of the story: don’t buy a bronze watch. This watch is probably less than 5 years old.
Take good care of any mechnical watches and it should last you a lifetime... :-)
Bronze ist unpraktisch
