Alison, this video was done during lockdown, so they couldn't be together. I believe his future wife was in the studio with Austin, that's who he was singing to. Alison, you always do such great reactions, thank you!
Yes Dan, his then girlfriend now wife, was directly behind the camera and that's why the camera kept getting those smoldering looks. It was done intentionally.
I remember being in the middle of the pandemic and I thank God for people like Home Free that gave us not just music but a place to go to just enjoy life.
Home Free is one of those groups that seeps into your soul and makes you feel like you're actually one of them. They are very humble and down to earth. If you ever have a chance to see them live please take it. You will not be disappointed. They don't do a concert, they have a party; they make you part of the experience. Love your reactions! Have a great day and a very Merry Christmas!
Oh, Yes--He’s so Perfect for this song…Tim had been after him for several years to do this &, Finally convinced him…to our being able to Enjoy him doing this 💕♥️💕‼️ It’s AMAZINGLY AWESOME ♥️💕♥️‼️ Glad you loved it as we do 🙃‼️
Wow Alison, what a fabulously stellar reaction. Please keep up the great work. It's totally awesome just how powerful music can be for all of us. I truly think the only thing more powerful than Music....is True Love. brb
New subscriber, thanks for your comments on our guys! If you ever get the chance to meet them and to see them live, do, and the way they come across on the videos is the way they really are! These guys are so down to earth and caring people! Not like a lot of other groups! This song from Austin’s lead and some amazing drums from Adam! The bass guitar sounds from Tim and Rob and the other Adam’s harmonies, it’s extremely good! Thanks again! Low bass Kenneth
@AlisonReacts great reaction! For some reason, even though the genre is different - something tells me you would very much enjoy Dan Fogelberg, "Same Old Lang Syne" about a holiday encounter with an old flame or "Leader of the Band" about Dan's dad. Dan has some quality of voice and the story lines are very emotive. Add a tissue box. Also... RIP Dan!
From one Home Fry to another, I get it. I love watching as you react to the guys, your joy is so infectious. Austin's girl friend now wife was in the studio next to the camera. That is who he was making eyes at. You should watch his new single video "Hers Ain't Mine". She is in the video with him. They are such an adorable couple. Looking forward to your next reaction. I am originally from Kentucky, but currently live in Michigan. In fact Home Free was just up here earlier this month and I got to go see them. This was my first live concert. Hope you do get to see them sometime. They have been to Australia before. Maybe they will come again.
The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned. ❣
Can you please tell me/us who does the majority of the arrangements, or is it kind of a home free free-for-all? Thanks in advance! -An interested observer 👍👍
@@OzonePete-j3f Not sure I am qualified to answer this. However, am aware that several of the Home Free members have done some of the arrangements, I believe Darrein Rust the one who does a lot of for them behind the scenes such as recording and mix engineer and producer has been involved in some of the arrangements. They all are very gifted in this regard from writing original songs / music for the songs to arrangements of covers they are extremely gifted and knowledgable in all things music. Someone with more knowledge than what I have discerned should probably step in with a better answer. There are "No weak links" in this group. Never seen this so with any other group I have encountered. They simply are High end gifted/talented vocalists and they compliment each other so well with their gifts. 💯❣
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Austin to me is the Voice of Home Free, yes i know Rob is good, but Austins Twang makes it so amazing... and i dont think with him leaving anyone could replace him... i feel bad for the group he left... my favs are Austin Tim and Adam Rupp...the best hands down beat boxer...
Home Free was such a great gift to all of us--especially their extra efforts in providing us with excellent music/videos throughout quarantine and the difficult days of isolation we all dealt with during the pandemic. Their creativity in producing the "quarantine" videos--and their commitment to continuing to provide new entertainment throughout (even though they weren't even in the same state!)--has brought along many HF converts. Got to love Home Free❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree
Bliss is the perfect description for the feeling of watching a Home Free video. I've never cared for this song because it's so repetitive. But I've seen this more times than I can count. Amazing backing harmonies. Percussion perfection. And Austin sailing off into the stratosphere like it's natural. Yup. Bliss pretty much covers it.
Always enjoy yer HF vods, of Geoff, or VP, or ... : ) And I don't always comment .. but I do give ya a "thumbs up". Love yer enthusiasm and appreciation! And not to forget -- Wishing you a very Merry CHRISTmas ... THE Reason for the Season!!! Come back to US when ya can and hope ya can stay longer : ) Always the Bestest! Be Safe
This was filmed during the Covid lockdowns (hence the screens). Austin's (now wife) Amberly was in the studio (that's who he's looking at). The writer of Percy Sledge's original had been through a bad break-up and wrote "I gave you everything I had". Austin's looking at Amberly and sings "I'll give you everything I've got". A subtle but significant lyric change. BTW, a married male reactor said he wasn't heterosexual enough to watch (LOL)!
I'm new to your channel and yes I did subscribe because not many enjoy g old music as you. I'm 66 years old and music has been a major part of my life and I've seen some of the greatest and some,,, well, not so good but music is truly makes people come together. I will be checking out you library of reactions and if I see there may be some music you Haven't checked, I will offer some to you. Live the music.
Austin killed this! Percy Sledge would be so very proud. Austin is looking at his then girlfriend and now wife Amberly. Love this so very much. Needless to say, the rest of them were awesome as well. I am from West Branch; IA Love your reaction!
Hey, Allison! Noticed the binge of Home Free love flowing from your channel today. You've picked great ones to watch - not that there's a bad one from Home Free - haha. I just want to tell you I see you giving yourself tons of comfort through exceptionally uplifting and nostalgic music, and my heart just wants to give you a hug. I know you've had hard times recently - please know you're not alone whether you're filling your heart with musical joy, or whether you're in deeply rooted pain. You matter, and you're seen. 😃 Ahhhh, Austin kills this one, yes? 🤗 Made during Covid, I believe his fiancée was in the studio with him when this was recorded. Sweet tender love. 🥰 Please have the best holiday you can. Love and hugs to you, sweet girl. xo ❤🎅🎄❄ PS. I'm from Colorado 🤗
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment, I find Im just leaving the videos as they were before everything happened and uploading them without an extra edit, but it does i guess help show why i am a certain way. Thank you, deeply, I mean that. All my love to beautiful Colorado (one of the best sunsets ive seen was on my one day stop in Denver! such an incredible sky) xx Have a safe holiday season, much love from Brisbane. x
Great reaction! I'm not sure if it's true but I think I heard someone say that Austin's now wife was behind the camera while filming. So, his looking into the camera gave a very intimate feeling to the performance. Have a great day!
They’ve been to Australia several times. Check out their collaboration with Amy Shephard and Travis Collins with the song The Horses that they recorded the last time they were over there.
Someone complained in a comment on another rection that this was written as a lament about how BADLY love can treat you. Yes it was, but Austin sings it like a man who KNOWS how badly it can go, but is so in love with someone that he doesn't care, the love is the important part. It isn't often we get to hear Austin belt like that. And as usual, the harmonies and beatboxing were exactly right. Just a heads up - when you start reacting to HF videos done since Austin left and Adam Bastien came in, his name is pronounced Bass-TEEN.
It's so great to see someone appreciate so deeply the nuances -- like his runs. They're like water and fire at the same time. Now if you want to appreciate the solo prowess of another #homefree member, watch Chance leading I Can't Outrun You (Trade Adkins). Your life will change.
Austin was the absolutely best choice for the lead on this ! He SLAYS it ! If Austin doesn't end up being a superstar, it could only be because he didn't want that, or that there is something deeply wrong with the music industry. BTW this video was shot during COVID restrictions, so the guys on the video screens was not only brilliant, but necessary b/c they weren't in the same location.
The videos are just better when I'm watching you watch them! Next time you come to the States, come up to New England, it's like a different country than the West Coast and South!
“The Greatest Gifts of All” a Christmas song and the first one with new guy, however rob has lead, that has moved me - also I’m not sure if you have reviewed this one but it’s one of my favorites “ Listen to the Music “ would highly recommend both
So emotional... - Hi Allison, do you feel the same? You're captivated from the first note - well, I'm a married man, but otherwise Austin would be a welcome addition to my collection. Here in Germany, when something is so beautiful, so plump, so emotional, we say: "That's so beautiful, it's making my milk rush straight in...! I hope I haven't shocked you too much? (...you're not a prudish American!) But when I saw your reactions to Austin, it came to mind...! Have fun with the songs; I'm sure I did!
You MUST do a reaction to Austin's cover of 'Unchained Melody' by the Righteous Brothers! If this gave you goosebumps, that will melt you into a puddle of goo!
Fer gawd's sake, poke the right button!!! 😂😂 I'm from the deep dark haunted forests of Massachusetts in the mysterious NE of the US, a forbidden land of wild creatures and even wilder hominids, many of whom enjoy the Home Free fellows as well! That being said, I do have a suggestion for a song.... as such. To describe it is a bit difficult; maybe a meditational-rock-poem-levitational-transportive-transcendental-deep-droning paean to (and incantation of) the universal OMM. I dunno, but it struck me to the core! The admonition, "wait for it, waaaait for it" has never held so true. If we are not moved by this, then we are immovable! Gadzooks! Have some fun with the shock of this one.... 🤗🤗 ruclips.net/video/KmErtNSs5ak/видео.htmlfeature=shared
ruclips.net/user/shortssbpD3IFRDmQ?si=QLOGfhqi-ql74f03 Hello. Happy upcoming holiday to you!🎉🎉🎉🌲🌲🌲🤗🤗🤗 Watch a short video about Dimash. Here he comes out all exhausted after his four-hour concert! In which he sang, danced and performed tricks almost without stopping. There were 30,000 spectators at the concert, 10,000 of them from 87 countries. And here he is, coming out, completely tired, still pays attention to his little fan and goes to him, hugs him. And the next day Dimash went to their school for children with physical problems and there he presented many gifts and sang with them.

I just love your reactions too HOME FREE!!!! Just watching you enjoy them singing makes me smile.
By far the best cover of this Percy Sledge classic that I've ever heard. They are world class. Period!!
I love your reactions to Home Free.😊
New Years Day is just around the corner. Home Free’s Auld Lang Syne would be perfect for a next reaction.
I get it! These guys have kept me sane for a fair few years now.
2:31 "Don't you be lookin at me like that, Austin.".....REWIND 😂😅
I remember being in the middle of the pandemic and I thank God for people like Home Free that gave us not just music but a place to go to just enjoy life.
Easily one of the greatest love songs of all time, and Home Free absolutely scored a knockout with their performance.
The best version ever. I'll sleep good tonight.
This was done during Covid so I thought the use of tvs was clever. Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. So good. SO glad you liked it!
Alison, Wonderful reaction. Great to see you smiling and so happy. Have a great and safe 2025

Awesome reaction❤ Amazing artists. Thank You for the memories 🌹
We're listening to a "PERCY SLEDGE" original which debuted in 1966. HOME FREE gives it justice.
Wow Alison, what a fabulously stellar reaction. Please keep up the great work. It's totally awesome just how powerful music can be for all of us. I truly think the only thing more powerful than Music....is True Love. brb
