So basically if you work in France under a visa you can't work and live in the other countries but you can travel. Only *citizens* of member states can live, work, and go in pension in any other member state
I did travel to almost all EU countris, being from Czech Rep. it's fairly easy. And yes, Schengen and the freedom of movement are awesome. People who don't appreciate those are idiots. And that place in Greece that bans women - it's just a monastery with a lot of territory.

Well there exist so called Shengen-Visa! But not everyone can get them.
You dont need a visa or passport to travel inside the European Union, you can just use an id
