It’s just a suggested price. It’s supply and demand. If you say there is wiggle room to go down then there is wiggle room to go up when there is too much demand.

But at the same time now, no other oems EVS as they do not compare.
Chrysler had a similar problem 45 years ago. They were infamous for high pressure sales tactics back then, people would not go to a Chrysler-Plymouth or Dodge dealership once word got out and it led to Chryslers first bankruptcy and bailout in the late 70s.
I feel like dealerships got intoxicated with the seller’s market a couple years ago and they are absolutely refusing to come to terms that those days are over. It’s like a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum and breaking their toys. Their utter contempt for actually having to work for sales is blatantly obvious. They literally sat on their asses for 2 to 3 years and made tens of thousands of dollars daily in extra profit and they never want to go back to normal.

In 2006, I wanted to buy a used Crown Vic and went to about 50 dealerships in the Tampa Bay area. One thing that quickly became obvious was that the more a dealership talked about its integrity, the bigger the ripoff they were. If you have to say you have integrity, you don't.
Oc Motivator thanks for giving out the best information. What dealer would you recommend to go to in California? I’m interested in a black scatpack widebody
WOW! Just WOW! 3 years ago I bought my Durango from them. I drove 2 hours because the had the best prices. My wife wants a new Challenger and we looked online at their inventory and we were going to see them this Saturday. I really have no idea why this video popped up in my feed but I'm glad it did. I'm still stunned that a business wound respond this way. They definitely lost a customer and you gained a subscriber! Thank you for making this video. Seriously! THANK YOU!
This dealer can be all smug about having the high demand cars. Well, they're going to be sitting on Hornets and Grand Wagoneers and Grand Cherokees and $80k Wranglers and Gladiators. Like Car Edge points out lately, these Stelantis dealers are stuck with 3 years of inventory and that inventory is going nowhere. They'll have 2023 cars on the lot when 2025 rolls around.
Got news for you. It's the same thing here in NC. Lines of hellcats on the lots, every one of them is marked up $20-40k. Demon with an $80k markup. None of them are selling. 2500's and 3500's for days, all at MSRP and they won't budge. None are selling. It's like they are intentionally trying to go out of business. Or maybe it's the old management that doesn't realize the internet exists. It's not hard to find a deal on a Hellcat these days, a 1 minute google will show you dealers that are cutting prices.
I'm glad you exposed this stealership, that's what i call all dealerships & sounds like this one holds the title well. Hopefully they'll get a lot of backlash from this it'll teach them to be more professional.
I went to a dealership with the intent to buy a new truck but the experience was so horrible I decided to never buy anything new, but through regular people only. Have driven used cars, trucks, and a van, used only, for nearly 50 years. Nothing I know of that can drive a customer away from a dealership like a motivated the wrong way, salesman.
I will be damned if I ever buy a vehicle with any dealer markup. I won't be buying anything without a discount from MSRP. Ever! There's nothing I need that bad.
I bought an Excursion from them once 15 years ago. When they delivered the vehicle (used) the lot porter ran into a yellow pole and said "oh no it was like that" but every one that I know that has been to that dealer in Hemet has had a mediocre experience at best.. As far as markups... I am a Teamster driver and none of my coworkers are buying new cars anymore. Markups and junk fees none of us want to pay the high msrp and markups for a car that's really just a car. 1500$ for payments, insurance, gas maintenance, etc? Hell no... supply and demand? They have lots of supply but demand for them is not there. Enjoy those floorplan payments.
I truly hate the car manufacturers and the dealer network. I used to work as a car tech in one of the dealerships. Techs and the customers get screwed over indeed. But the customers get raked through the coals with over prices vehicles and services. And the techs get paid peanuts. That's why I changed my career.
business page being run by high schoolers or something? never in a hundred years would I have expected to see something like this... dealerships like these really keep adding reasons not to buy from them. 🤯🤯🤯
Too bad that some JCDR dealers harm the good ones (I bet there are very few.)and maybe "last call" might apply to JCDR as a whole not just overpriced underwhelming cars.
Moving units will be even harder now for Hemet CDJR with the spread of negative word of mouth. One of the major rules for any business is not to insult the customer -- especially in a time when social media is omnipresent and used by everyone.
It’s funny I come across your video today. The day that I was dealing with a dealership about a ram 3500 and the ad and the description didn’t work out. They wouldn’t give me the Vin number just a little hokey like everyone I think we’re all tired of the wheeling and dealing of dealerships, the extra fees that they force you to take i.e. wheel nuts nowadays they don’t steal your rooms. They just steal your whole car.
I contacted my old sales guy about trading in for a new Rubicon X and he told me dont. He said wait till the fall when things may change. He said alll he could offer me is a 5k dealership discount. Thats it. He says Stellantis isnt giving anything . He even said they are way overpriced. Yup ill probably never buy another Jeep
I actually got rid of my 2021 Dodge Challenger Wide Body Scat Pack and 2022 Ram Power Wagon this weekend. I am not happy with the brand anymore. Went to GMC. I will still always watch your content and hopefully they get themselves right.
Thanks for the time and effort you put into this channel. Dodge dealers aren’t the only ones ripping off the public. They do get more attention though due to the cult-like following of their muscle cars. I was going to purchase a Kia Sportage at a central Florida dealer and on their website, they list the MSRP, and then a dealer discount of around $3700, plus some other discounts from the factory. In reality; even though the dealer has many of these cars in stock, they are adding on approximately $5000 in market adjustment fees. When I ask them about the prices they advertise on their website, they act like they don’t know anything about it. The other Kia dealers in the area are all doing the same thing. Anyway, I ended up buying one out of state at a little below MSRP. I’m concerned that the culture at the dealerships is changing, and eventually every dealer will start having huge markups.
Shylock dealers should be outed and boycotted! If they're going to treat customers like trash, then let them go under. They try to present themselves as a dealer who will get you tge best deal... the best financing... abd best service. In reality, they only care about clising the deal with the highest price tag they csn get away with, the most unnecessary add-ons... and when it's time to come for service, they're not around to back you up. If you pay a markup on your vehicle, then that's your stupidity!
This happened to my son's girlfriend. She took a Friday afternoon off to go car shopping along with her best friend. They saw a car at a dealership that caught her eye and stopped to check it out. A salesman came out and after looking it over suggested that she take it home and try it out over the weekend. She thought that was a great idea. When signing the paperwork the sales manager came into the salesman's office to look the contract over. He said everything was okay but told her that he was personally authorizing her taking the car home and that she HAD to return the car the following Monday and she HAD to personally return the keys TO HIM and him only on Monday. She signed the paperwork and took the car home. Her friend followed her home in the other car. On Monday, she called in to work and told her boss that she would be a few minutes late as she was returning a car that she decided not to buy to a dealership. When she arrived at the dealership at 9am the sales manager was not there and no one seemed to know where he was. He DID NOT SHOW UP ALL DAY and she was stuck with keeping the car.
What’s crazy to me is why on earth any dealer in HEMET would put markups on their cars. It’s not Newport Beach for god sakes. But their response doesn’t surprise me given the area they’re in. NOT a town I would want to spend time in. And just like you OC, this is IMO.
The problem is not limited to a particular brand, where the thinking of the people in dealerships to maximize profits. Solution is easy enough, don't deal with them, to start.
OC, brother, you freaking Rock!!! Keep up the great work! Now that these prices have dropped, I was planning on buying my Hellcat Durango. But these Dodge dealers have been such a-holes, I can't go in there and give them my money. I will just not do it, and I have been waiting patiently for the prices to drop as they have. Screw Dodge
I have a Jeep Wrangler. I will be looking to offload my Jeep in the next year. Jeep/Dodg/Ram, from what I see from the information is having a tough year. I would not be surprised if the company closes is doors in the next 4-5 years.
I know for fact they are not selling cars. I bought my 2023 GT from there and they literally begged me to buy the car. My price out the door was well below sticker. The deal got finished around 10:00 p.m. and Lima himself told me it was the only car they sold all day.
We bought a new Charger and sold it within three months because the dealer fought with us over fixing anything, even small things. We will never buy anything from a Dodge dealer, new or used. We bought a Toyota Land Cruiser and love it, they can keep the crap they produce.
I own a 2003 Nissan Frontier 4cyl manual transmission and a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport 6cyl manual. Both are over 200K miles. I won't be buying anything new from any dealer anytime in the future. As long as I can obtain parts to keep these two running, that's what I'm driving.
You can always tell when a dealership treats you badly because they wont send you a survey....they block you....i worked for a dealership for 32 years and use to hear them block that customer and dont send a survey to keep our customer service index up.....just had a dealership do this to me when they tried to give me a $250.00 oil change when it was $120 the last time....they didn't even give me a professional courtesy call saying a price increase and then the supervisor says to my wife its a 19 redeye and maybe you shouldn't of bought it if you cant afford oil change🤬it almost came to a fight....then i get my vehicle and it had hand prints all over and dirt on the side of the seat😮needless to say im never going back to that dealership 😊
after coming to conclusion, dodge dealership treats their customer based on their socioeconomic status, and the people that are often buy from all dodge's dealership are often low income individual. so the harsh truth is that these dealers treat their loyal or potential customer according to each customer economic status.
I used to work for a CJRF dealership in the 80s. I quit after 2 weeks because the new cars i sold would be back in service the next day and the used cars were in poor shape. Can't do zero down on a 50,000 dollar markup, no bank would take that loan.

I will never set foot on any of their lots again. They lost 5+ customers that day. Me, my family, and anyone I talk to about buying cars.
MSRP sticker price means Manufactures Suggested Retail Price. There used to be wiggle room to go down but now with mark ups, nope.
You can’t feed you customers a sh*t sandwich and expect them to come back for more.
It’s just a suggested price. It’s supply and demand. If you say there is wiggle room to go down then there is wiggle room to go up when there is too much demand.
@@zfunk9 and that’s WHY cars are piling up on dealer lots.
Which dealership do I know not to go there?
Tell him you suggest he put some salt and pepper on that car, because he will end up eating it.
And with that attitude, you can imagine their service department ethics.
Dodge is at such a crucial point. They cannot afford to lose any customers, this next generation of cars will make or break them. People won't come in no matter how good the cars are if they continue to be jackasses...
May be the only company that continues to make V8s?
@@opaca512 Ford is still selling the V8 Mustang -- GT and Dark Horse.
@@John_B52_HEMI For now...And V8's aren't going to make everyone come back anyways. Most of Dodge's sales weren't even V8 models.
@@ducktails1695 Sure, I realize that regarding Ford and Dodge sales. But it's comforting to know a guy could go out today and buy himself a brand-new V8 at a Ford dealership.
It's Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep its all over priced crap.
It's another blunder from the Biden Administration!
It’s not just Dodge it’s every dealership. My friends redeye got stolen from the Hemet Ca dealership and it’s been a year and nothing has been resolved 😡.
That redeye drivetrain was in another vehicle within a week, good luck finding the shell
@@Black_Gun_Control they actually found the car. But they want my friend to take it back n then fixing it 🙅🏽♂️.. he’s asking for a cash out n him getting another redeye 🤷🏽♂️
@@NAMBO_SRT Yah I wouldn’t want it back either if it was thrashed and trashed
@@Black_Gun_Control I know man. He’s been fighting for a year and Dodge has been lagging 😡
Hemet CDJR inventory is going to rot away right in front of there eyes after that response! Serves them right..😂😂
Honestly dodge is going down in flames with this overstock panic.
Theyve been dead since they were bought out of bankruptcy by Fiat. Horrible quality.
They got mad at the truth 😂
That is so unprofessional. I have never seen anything like this. I would never go to that dealership. Cancel them!!! ❌
Larry H Miller in Peoria Arizona told me they'd throw in the tire & wheel package. Then, when I got my statement from my bank showing everything that was financed, they charged me for it, pretty aggravating & unacceptable. So thank you, Chace Gilbert, in finance for completely lying and doing shady business.
lol. They threw it in and threw in the charge.
Dodge has the least trusted car dealerships in the country, the CEO doesn't care ...🚗 I won't even look at Dodge now or in the future .
Well put but in my life I would have never bought a car from dodge or any other oem for that matter especially US brands (although dodge is owned by stellanits and previously fca which is european anyway) except for Toyota and now only an EV from Tesla. But at the same time now, no other oems EVS as they do not compare.
Kia I s giving them a run for that title. They both suck.

Chrysler had a similar problem 45 years ago. They were infamous for high pressure sales tactics back then, people would not go to a Chrysler-Plymouth or Dodge dealership once word got out and it led to Chryslers first bankruptcy and bailout in the late 70s.
@@clintonwatt8084 Hyundai/KIA... the Dodges of Asia!
Thank you so very much OC for your time, effort , open honest sharing of information that makes up a very interesting show. I think I was with you from beginning and hope I get to talk with you someday. It always is worth my time and a thumbs up.
Just imagine the dealers in south Florida. $20k mark up on V6 chargers 🤦🏽♂️
My local dodge dealership is terrible. My new ram had so many problems they wouldn't fix it.
KEEP EXPOSING DEALERS! You could make it into a series!
I enjoy it, love the channel btw!
My son got his Ram Rebel from Hemet CDJR and regret it 1000% he has been waiting now over 9 weeks for a warranty part to come in that they said would take 1 week they don’t answer phone calls and don’t return any messages
And that Challenger they have is $277.000
dealer mark up paying for air money in the owners pocket
My god you could buy some entry-level super cars at that price point.
Thats a cheap house.
Much love to your channel! Thank you for posting this!!!!!!!
Great video. I'm sick of these low life dealers. I say expose all the bad ones and boycott them. Let those overpriced cars sit there and rot
I used to be a tobacco rep , we used to joke, thee only thing lower than a cig rep was a car salesman !
I need nicotine more than a $700 car payment
Its always a Dodge dealer. WHY is it ALWAYS a FLIPPIN DODGE DEALER???? WHY!!???
Glad you put out this video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hemet sucks, I tried to buy a car from them, they where horrible. They really did make their money from predatory sales.
These last call dodges had the potential to go down as the pinnacle and collector worthy vehicles. The dealerships have ruined the positive legacy these cars deserve. They may go down as the worst marketing ever.
The Hellcat Charger is cancelled and being replaced by an electric Hello Kitty option.
😂😂😂😂 I can believe he mentioned the word quality, dodge talking about quality.
Hey B
We gotta help Butter. Discovery/MotorTrend is attacking him for Fair Use stuff. We gotta make noise. I dont know if Dodge isnt behind this, but sure feels targeted. We may be next, but if this is what Dodge wants to become, cancel culture and crappy cars, we gotta be LOUD!
Wow! Sounds like my local Dodge/Ram dealership in Williamsburg VA. My son gave them a bad review on a survey they sent him and they refused to service his car after that! Hey don’t send a survey if you don’t want to hear the truth lol😂
OCM THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT VIDEOS !!! Exposing all those Stealerships !!!
Free T-shirt idea: Dodge logo with "With a brotherhood like this" on the front, "Who needs enemies" on the back with a backwards Dodge logo on the back.
I would never ever buy from a dealer that tells someone stfu. Very unprofessional and totally rude.
Now go hit them digitally on all of the review sites like Yelp and the such.
I wonder how Tim kuniskis feels about u???😂 r u a villain or a hero to him?😮😂
I dyed-the-wool Mustang guy - But this is a great channel, love it. Everything said here is spot on. I’m hoping that we get to direct manufacture to consumer sooner rather than later. Go on line, order your car, pick it up at the distribution center. No sales person needed. Happy motoring 🤠
I Got a Swinger under msrp at Normandin, no bs 😊
WOW! Seriously! THANK YOU!
We should go in and make the deal and then start having fun. Good entertainment
Dealer should be Called Out! NEVER DISRESPECT YOUR CUSTOMER!
Personally...I would have gone straight into the stealership and gone straight into the gm's office and say tell me to stfu to my face
They are called "stealerships" for a reason.
Thanks for sharing. I am looking for a new ram truck and now I know one dealer to avoid.
I have my doubts Dodge will even be around in a couple years.
Great video, this will force them to be in compliance 💪🏾
I went to a dealership with the intent to buy a new truck but the experience was so horrible I decided to never buy anything new, but through regular people only. Have driven used cars, trucks, and a van, used only, for nearly 50 years. Nothing I know of that can drive a customer away from a dealership like a motivated the wrong way, salesman.
The same type of ad that David Stanley DRCJ in Oklahoma City, with the same result.
Sounds like someone forgot they were logged into the dealership's account and not their personal account. Still a horrible look.
lmao HCDJR needs to just close the doors lmao.
The Law of 250……. For every person a Dealer mishandles, it costs them 250 potential Customers. 🇨🇦
Good point 👍
Moving units will be even harder now for Hemet CDJR with the spread of negative word of mouth. One of the major rules for any business is not to insult the customer -- especially in a time when social media is omnipresent and used by everyone.
Good for him oc you work on this is awesome what is dodge doing not right
HOLY CRAP! When you said it was a 4 letter response I never imagined it would be THOSE 4 letters! 😂 SMH deplorable
You won’t be happy with GMC either unfortunately. They rust and fall apart after 50k
Full rusted frames after 4 years.
Good luck.
The day of reckoning for dealerships is coming! They aren't going to be in business much longer if they keep this stuff up.
Quality and Dodge is an oxymoron.
Brandon was savage af! That brotha was spittin' bars 🗣🎤💯💯💯
Wow. How unprofessional. The author of that post from Hemet needs to find a new job.
Looked at Dodge cars today 4/21/24 and here in Miami they got new Scat Packs for mid 30s and they still have a bunch of them.
As a society over the past 30 years ww have gone from "the customer is always right" to "get bent and try to hold us responsible".
Very true
The truth hurts when it hits you directly
I used to work for a CJRF dealership in the 80s. I quit after 2 weeks because the new cars i sold would be back in service the next day and the used cars were in poor shape. Can't do zero down on a 50,000 dollar markup, no bank would take that loan.
Dam, that's crazy. Hope Dodge does something about that
I’m not surprised in today’s world that happened, but like you said on their business page. I am surprised at that.
They gotta be having some 12 year old kid managing the account cuz ain’t no way a grown ass man just said “stfu” to a customer when they’re trying to build a business😭 bro really talking on social media like your in an Xbox multiplayer lobby 😂
If I'm going to pay $100k+ for a vehicle, I would expect some great customer service! Bmw,audi, mercedes are top notch when it comes to this!
The company let these dealerships mark up their prices almost 50 percent did the company really think it wasn’t gonna catch up with them well I guess it did
Truth hurts so bad.
Dodge that Dealer from here on out folks
WOW. Their panties are in a wad because they have all these cars and the owner thought he was going to make all this money. IdiXt:)
the problem is too many people will pay the marked up costs-----if everyone would stop buying this crap it would end.
