very sorry about the weird audio in this video...I had some weird settings going on that I didn't notice till after a bunch of you started letting me know about it. Thank you very much to all of you that pointed this out to me because it has been fixed in every video after this! 👏
Great video man! Seems like the 18-105 is the best run and gun lens. I was using the sigma 18-35 1.8 with the mc-11 adapter but its just way to heavy for my gimbal and also not very portable. Keep it up!
Thank you! Yeah, its been a very good all around lens for me to use in the day/sunset settings for my work. If this thing went to a 2.8 or wider, Id never have to get another lens haha

I like the sharpness and colour balance of yourself and background in your studio. Can I ask what did you use to achieve this look. Thanks.
Hey! Glad you found my channel. For my talking heads at that time, I was using the sigma 16mm f1.4 to achieve that look with my a6500. The colors typically resulted from my background lighting and my key light in front of me!
If you have really great lighting then you can make the f4 work by bumping up your iso a bit. If you want to keep the iso as low as possible though, you may want something like an f2.8
JaHm3sZ this is a great question and it’s something that I’ll probably cover in a future video. You ideally want to get the filter that is the same size as your lens but if you happen to have lenses with a bigger diameter then just get the biggest size you need and buy a set of “filter stepping rings” to make it fit all of your lenses. Might look a little weird but it’s a great way to save money and not have to buy multiple expensive variable Nd filters
This lens has been on my a6000 since 2014 and it's not going anywhere. I have looked at all camera systems, all price ranges, and there's simply nothing that comes close to it. Constant length, power zoom, rather stealthy, ergonomic, and at 500 €, it has no competition anywhere. Fight me.
Awesome work dude, looking at the national park footage, the cut would've been so much more immersive if you've just cut it on the beat. You mostly missed all the hits. Otherwise, great footage and already bought mine and waiting to pair it with my a6400. Cheers mate!
thanks for checking the video out man! Not sure what you're hearing but when i'm watching it back again, every transition is on a beat with that national park footage haha. It may be that i edited some to transition on a downbeat with a sound effect? but either way no worries, to each their own.
Hey man nice vid , really helped me out !Would you be willing to share your Slow motion settings ? ( are you on AF or MF ?) 6:28 (water drops in the hand) it’s sooooo crisp ....
No problem! I shoot my slow mo at 1080p, 120fps. Then when you're in your editing software, your timeline will be a 24fps timeline (everything else I shoot is always at 24fps for the cinematic look) and you just "interpret" your footage to assume that frame rate. It will stretch your clips from 120fps to 24fps and it will be buttery smooth. Also was shooting in autofocus for all of these shots.
