PSP is adding gain. I would've loved to hear it with the PSP and DD on, then add the S1. I have a suspicion the S1 Shuffle isn't doing anything at those settings. I know the S1 at default will null so i'm pretty sure the shuffle will too. It's probably there if needed but he would increase the width slider at minimum.

but just a question; why would you want wider vocals? thanks in advance.

Sometimes it works in the mix, sometimes not. It's totally up to your tastes.

it just sounds better and richer.
try recording your lead vocals three times.
      1) select a main take.
      2) afterwards take the copies 1 and 2, cut them syllable by syllable with fade-ins and fade-outs, placing each piece to sound as close to the main take as possible.
      3) pan the copies full left and right respectively.
      4) pitch-correct each copy separately if needed.
      5) send all of these 3 copies to one group and apply your favorite processing (you could use the one from a video or make your own).
      6) enjoy the natural wideness and richness of the vox!
at least, it works great with hip hop mixes - I guarantee you, you won't regret afterwards.

really really thank you for breaking this down. but i m sorry but is it just my ears? I hear phasing and uneven volume changes. I dont think i like this chain at all actually. thank you for breaking down but I never hear anyting like this in the radio. its phasy. i hate phasy elements. and overall its uneven.
