I would suspect, with the depth of their love for each other, that Ant didn't tell Dec he was having problems because he didn't want to disappoint Dec or feel like Dec might be ashamed of him. It's silly when you look at their great love for each other, but we all have these feelings some times. We need help, but we don't want to let down those that care about us most. But after they find out, if they truly care, they're still there. I love these 2 so much. i wish more people in the world could have relationships like this, the world would be a happier place.
I am with you on that and he did say how hard it is to open up in such conditions and let people you love, down. It's true that if more people could love and support their loved ones like this, the world will definitely be a better place ❤
Agree with you on this one. However, with the depth of their friendship, they should feel like they should be able to tell each other anything, and it wouldn't disappoint either of them. Ant not telling Dec about it has made him the amazing man that he is today, and imagine if Ant did tell Dec, would it have resolved quicker than it did in the long run, or would Ant have just kept it to himself and made the situation worse than it needed to be. Again, Ant has become such an amazing man, even through all that he went through. He did say that he felt that he didn't deserve to win the award in 2019, but I think he deserves it just as much as Dec deserves it because he made it through all of that the year before, and made it out the other end a changed man, with a healthier mindset, that deserves to be celebrated as well. You could see how much it meant to them to win that award, and the audience at BGT all agreed, hence their reaction. Again, totally understandable, their friendship is so deep and touching that it made sense for Ant to feel that way, but I'm so glad that they are both back on the television, and both doing better than ever!
Literally, me watching this, every time I watch Dec getting emotional talking about their friendship and the song that played at his dad's funeral, just does it for me, makes me ball my eyes out because of the raw emotions that they aren't afraid to share. And the fact that they always try to make each other laugh is just the best thing about their friendship, making each other laugh is the best way to keep a friendship alive.

I cried but most importantly I laughed, I had the pleasure of meeting them both at the NTA’s this year and I couldn’t believe it when I say they are EXACTLY how they are in the telly I mean it. Recovered from what? Been trying to work out why he seemed to have disappeared from a season of shows, from the look of some of these clips...
He sought treatment for Alcohol and pain killer addiction and was in rehab. Now he is recovered from addiction and is clean for two years 😊
