The _only_ thing I hate about the recent jump pack changes: they made it way too damn easy to ragdoll landing on flat ground. I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Okay, truth be told, I just got the jet back the first time after the update, so knowing how bad it was before the update was a surprise for me. That said, the cooldown could still be lowered more.

Two things, the only two that I see for the jumpack : - fix the "almost garanteed ragoll after a jump" bug that came with the update ( no matter what, moving or not I find myself falling flat on the ground even with the easiest jumps ). - add the ability to AIM while mid air. So we can shoot vertically, horizontally, wherever we want. By maintaining aim. And then, the jetpack will be perfect. Literally perfect.
Rounds indicating low ammo has been around for forever, it's just missing on some guns. The Adjudicator always had a unique sound played for the last few bullets in your mag.
The new sounds for those final shots in the mag are amazing. I find myself swapping mags with just one in the chamber a lot now which is saving me from having to rack the bolt as often. it's literally saved my life a couple of times already thanks to the slightly quicker reloads as a result.
Maybe heavy armor stays as-is, then the lighter armors get progressively farther? That way it's not nerfing anything, yet there's still a difference between them. Not certain it's something that would benefit the game since I haven't been able to play in a long time, but just putting it out there.
the jump pack is affected by your momentum, so light armor in a way does improve your jump distance compared to your heavier armour, that said though a jump pack oriented armor that improves distance and aiming middair would go absolutely hard
I've noticed the sound change on the last few rounds of magazines and it has been GREAT. really helps you maximize using every shot without being bogged down with the empty reload
Interesting how they pitched up the sound of the gun on the last few rounds. Most other shooters have very distinct pitch up, while here is barely noticeable, thus keeping to "realism" a bit more.
My favorite new thing is the stimming mid air because I use the flamethrower and the jump pack but sometimes I would catch on fire while I was boosting away and would die from the fire as I wouldn’t be able to stim
I've also noticed that if you land improperly your character will sometimes roll across the ground to dissipate the impact, kinda like what parkour runners do
@wasdwazd it is entirely possible that the ragdolling looks like a roll, so far I haven't been able to confirm that, but given that Arrowhead pays a lot of attention to detail it's not out of the question that they have implement a roll
The mid air reload is the only time I feel safe reloading the medium mg against the bugs because I swear there is a warrior waiting around every corner for the moment I think I am safe to reload.
The guns sounding different at low ammo has always been around, at least from my experience. They just made it a lot more obvious now and added it to the MGs.
I want to see a programable jump pack. Allow me to switch between a greater vertical boost for reaching the good sniper spots, with jack shit for travel distance, and the current mode specced more for distance travel
The low ammo sound has always been there, but for some reason AH decided to turn down the volume to almost inaudible level in HD2, compared to the deafening magazine spring noise in HD1.
What I mind weird is that people often complain about the ragdol but I've never encountered it? How is it possible for such a bug to only happen to certain people, very spooky from a programming perspective.
it was always possible to shoot and fly at the same time before the update. exactly how it is now. the tracer rounds at the end of the magazine have always been there. i used liberator so much that i always run my mags dry. brasch tactics are op.
Also i dont know if it was in the patch notes but the if u call resupply or any weapon/backpack stratagems in the LZ they no longer goes unavailable when the ship lands
You could still shoot with guns before this but only because the reticle would stay where it was last 'touching'. Using the flamethrower was still possible if you held aim but it was only safe to do side to side jumps. Still kinda wish they removed hitbox detection for your legs while jumping to make it less risky.
also for the low ammo thing. i think some guns make the bullets red when your about to run out. or so i have noticed in night missions or planets thats not bright as hell.
