I lost my mother 8 years and she left me a house,several times I tried selling the house,i couldn't wait to make enough money to be able to move out of here.
I was forced to live here because I had no choice .i hated it here I felt stuck and I was so unhappy.😢
It wasn't until I started watching your videothat I began to see the good in my situation . You made see the value in living simply and my life and I am so grateful to be here and am glad I didn't sell my home because now I proudly document it and share it with the world. Thank you 🌈🌿☀️

I like that you mentioned that being joyful is a skill. It seems as though so many people feel like failures because it doesn't come "naturally." It really does take a lot of strength and intention to lead a happy life, though everyone's capable of it :)

I just love this, so beautiful. You are right time is currency. I get annoyed daily at the loss of time, and how it is wasted with toxic people and mundane chores etc. I always say to myself maybe tomorrow and tomorrow turns into next week, then next month etc. Soooo, since my situation is not changing anytime soon, I am trying to change my perspective. I am thankful for hot and cold running water, food to eat, a roof over my head , my daughters' laughter/joy (because they are not the happiest most of the time) so when I hear that my heart is so full. I have little time, but I started reading fiction again and am getting lost in that. I feed the birds bread every morning and they are there waiting for me. I love that. I enjoy gardening and taking care of my houseplants. What I do is not much to others, but I am slowly creating or finding me. I am the main character of my life and I want to be happy. I can't have a redo on my life at this point, but I would like to write/create the rest. Thank you for your video. Have a great day!

Such an amazing video. I have not always been the main character in my life. I was always a daughter, sister, wife and mother first. Now after getting a divorce and my children are grown I’m finally deciding that I’m important enough to be the main character in my life. I love your slow living and slow travel videos. Our exams are over. Me and my friends promised we would hang out, but we haven’t. They have other things to do. I feel lonely. But I realised how dependent I am on others to feel joy in life and how I need to stop this. I need be okay with being alone and I need to do simple things like ordering food by myself. I need to take control and I will take control

Human being is like a tree. And if Peter WOHLLEBEN in “The Secret Life of Trees” was right. “Forests are like human communities. Their root system, similar to a plant internet network, allows them to share nutrients with other trees but also to communicate with each other. "For us, as with the tree, each day that passes is like a falling leaf. Day after day, leaf after leaf, it is the years that pile up, forming the breeding ground of our past. However, we do not live on the same time scale as trees. The impact of the seasons reminds us that our time is running out. I know very well that all the trees that inhabit this land do not have the same soil on which to feed. However, should we condemn the joy that the smile that is offered to us gives us? Should we languish in the dark and refuse the beneficent heat of the sun? Should we kill the bird that sings of spring just because it makes hearts happy? So as the tree spreads its branches, I stretch out my arms to capture all the energies that "Simple Joys" offers me. All the leaves I have left are turned to this gift and the resulting photosynthesis makes me stronger. Only this strength will allow me to give back what I have been given. This is the best video I’ve seen on this topic. Most of the advice I keep hearing is things like “Take pictures of the beautiful things in your life and post them on social media”, or “Treat yourself and buy something you don’t necessarily need, but you think would make you happy”. That’s fine if you want to do those things, but I think they miss the point! Thank you for this. 😌

I really feel that I wanna live a joyful slow living life ....but my friend told me no the world don't work this way and I have to work so hard and all the time to be sooo productive .....but I feel this is totally different than my view and my heart

One thing that may add enjoyment to your writing is a fountain pen. I have started a collection of beautiful pens with wonderful inks with shimmer and it makes me smile every time I use them. There are cheap ones all the way up to very expensive. I'm currently using a Conklin Endura mother of pearl fountain pen with a forest green ink. Where you I've you should be able to find some fabulous pens. Almost everything in America is imported from Japan, Germany, France, China and Russia. Inspiring video

Eat desert first! Ha! That is exactly my philosophy. If you eat all the things you do not enjoy so much first and then the house catches fire you never got to eat what you actually like best. I realize not everyone is in the position to do this but do make time to do what you like best because suddenly in a flash life is over and it is such a shame if we never did what we really enjoy, never spent time in the places we really love or with the people we like the most.
I guess what I do not really understand is your saying that we have to be disciplined and determined about enjoying life, the landscape, people... its so easy to enjoy life,,, to be happy... so easy...
While I'm listening this I thought: " if I know this girl in real life I think she will be not only a good person but also very funny and able to make happy who is around her, super cute"
