Health tech is an industry developing technology to solve problems in healthcare, and I believe that it is the future! If designed and implemented thoughtfully, it can definitely change our lives for the better.
Working in health tech, I have learned how business, technology, and health policy can hugely impact healthcare delivery and health outcomes. I see a lot of opportunities for doctors to play a significant role in developing products and services that will improve healthcare access and patient outcomes and reduce costs and the burden on the healthcare system. In this video, I share a list of career opportunities in health tech for doctors where doctors can make the most significant impact and change the future of our lives!

Hi Le - really loved the video! I work in a Healthcare startup and this has really boosted me to continue working in health tech! Just a suggestion for the video - you can add pictures, flowcharts or animation to the videos to make it more interesting! But your content is really good ❣️
Thank you so much for the suggestions Yug! Will definitely keep them in mind for future videos. We should definitely connect and share experiences 😊
Hi how is your journey going can I ask?
Can you tell track for healthtech Iam already psychiatrist
Clinical Program Developer is also a great role to add. Thanks for sharing, I'm so happy to find your channel and look forward to more content!
Thank you very much Le. Very insightful information for medical doctors like me, looking to pivot and career transitioning from traditional residency pathway into tech industry.
You're welcome Moise. I recommend doctors get involved in tech even while they're practicing clinically. We need more doctors involved in building the technology to be used in healthcare.
Thank you for sharing your experiences!!
Thank you for the support Tiffany :)
Hi I am a medical student and I would love to get into Healthcare tech but I don't know where to start. There seems to be so many opportunities but for someone who doesn't live in the US, I feel really limited. Any advice would be really appreciated!
A lot of tech jobs are remote so you can still reach out to US tech companies and see if there are opportunities for you to work with them - reviewing products, developing content, business development, etc. OR be the one who starts a company or business that solves a problem in the healthcare industry!
❤ thanks! super useful
Very eye opening .I wonder how much is this being conciliable with clinical practice , that is dear to me .
Very possible. I know doctors who work both clinically and in tech. I do have to admit it seems easier for Emergency physicians or doctors with part-time clinical work.
@@LeDammm i see
Thank you for making this video. Very helpful.
Question, i am a 3rd year medical student. I want to quit and start in tech. Any recommendations you have? Any jobs in tech that doesn't require an MD degree but i have clinical rotation skills that i can use.
Thank you for the help.
Hi MarcoV, as a medical student I would apply to do an internship at a tech company in the department you're interested in developing your career. Some ideas would be product or marketing because you can still use your education to help support these teams without needing an MD while gaining knowledge and experience working with tech products.
Can I ask why you want to quit? I have the same thoughts
@@yael7570 mainly due to stress and time management. The amount of hours/years to finish "school" and the added stress ( in addition to stress from exams and patients health, medical malpractice occured in almost every doctor i have met).
@@yael7570 i did end up quitting and changed career. I feel sad i wasted 5 years of my life to get into med school and the years from it.
Recently, the main RUclipsr doctors whom i followed and subscribed and have scored more than 250s on step 1 & 2 and they have also quit medicine.
@@Lawlesslarry69 yeah I feel you! Aren’t you scared to switch? There’s days where I can’t even touch a book to study and have no desire and have a good feeling about switching and then there’s days where I just know I’m going to miss it and think maybe it’s a mistake, I just don’t know if working in a stressful job like that is a fit for me, I just feel confused
Thanks for the insight ma.Please i am a medicl student in my final year.can you please help me with ideas on coursess i can study in health tech that could equip me for a start in health tech industry.thanks
Hello mam,I am an mbbs graduate from India …I am looking forward to work with health care technology..
I wanted to persue my masters in health informatics from the USA ..can you please tell if Is it the same job as the health tech as you have mentioned above!??
Thankyou 😊
Hello! Health informatics is very valuable in health tech. Make sure to get work experience (ie. internship) while you are studying your course so you can apply what you learn. That's the best way to ensure you get a job after you graduate.
I’m in the same position trying to get into tech. Let’s connect!
Thankyou mam!could you please tell me which course is better ,,,health informatics or health data science ?
@@LILO281 That's awesome. Let me know if I can help in any way.
@@sk-wb4ej That depends on what you're interested in doing and what kind of work you want to do in the future! Are you planning to only work specifically in healthcare?
For medical affairs what study we should do after mbbs

Hello everyone, any such company based in Singapore? Would appreciate your reply.
I am an Indian PT who ideally wishes to continue core physical therapy in Singapore Healthcare but I have been getting alot of negative reviews regarding the same hence I want to pivot to non clinical remote jobs.
Lovely video, where did you school, in USA OR ABROAD
Thank you, I did undergrad in USA and postgrad in Australia
Do you see any opportunities for pharmacists in health tech?
Yes! I’m a pharmacist that made the switch!
@heyhealthtech just looked at your content! Thanks for putting your journey out there! Also commented a question😉
Are these jobs avaliable in the UK ?
Yes, I would network with and reach out to health/med tech startups in the UK and get involved with product development as an advisor
