While not a modeller myself, it amazes me the detail they have managed to get on the model, I watch the occasional review and Accurascale always seen to great reviews
Looks a very pleasant model indeed. Well worth the price.. I can only hope the other manufacturers catch on with the plethora of detail, the easily accessed DCC socket (I blow a fuse every time I have to undo loads of screws just to then fight with a body shell!) and of course the paperwork: I’m especially impressed with all the headcode transfers and the information supplied with them! What a godsend, especially for someone like me who hasn’t a clue how to translate them. I might have to grab one of these if they turn up cheap somewhere…
Looks a beauty, brings back memories of going on summer holidays in the early sixties by the ECML. The sound of those engines, in a train of Mk 1 stock with the windows open on a summer day, you could hear them from half way down the train. Doing a ton across the Vale of York made those Mk 1's rock and roll. Welded rail was only just being introduced back then. Great model, look after it, enjoy it and thanks for sharing.
That's excellent. I am going to be waiting a long time for my 31 but I've yet to be disappointed with anything Accurascale have produced and this Deltic looks immense. Enjoy!
Thanks for the review. you were quick enough to order one i was not now i watch them coming up on ebay for twice the price from people who did want them in the first place. lovely!,
Great little review. Compared with prices of models from other manufacturers these days it now looks like incredible value. Though I might need to find a bigger house if that’s the size of their boxes!
Looks great, I have two on order direct from Accurascale 005 and 022 and 015 from Rails of Sheffield and today had a message to say one is with the courier (strange Accurascale hasn't packaged both together but I'm going to be happy enough when they get here)
Hi I'm so pleased to hear you're impressed with the Deltic but where's mine!? I literally can't wait much longer.... Great channel, love the kit builds. Cheers Paul 👍
hi. first private review tnks.. a long awaited review too... great model waiting for my deltic to arrive.... i like so many others hope accurascale keep up the standards and decent pricing on all their future models. i think they might need a little improvement in their boxing dept. a massive outer box with loose filling allows the model to rattle about inside
Nice honest review. I love the 55s dont mind the Bachmann version and have had two or three and most of us have had the Lima model. If there is one thing on the Accurascale model im not liking and thats the windscreen surrounds with the heavy rivets? The frames look like they are a little gappy but i have not seen the model in the hand so i maybe wrong?
Stunning looking model. Hyper detailing is a compromise because it makes the models difficult to physically handle or ship without some bits falling off in transit as outer packaging in outer box can be sparse allowing model box to move within outer box subjecting it to more delivery precussion, but a beautiful model that's a fine precision runner. Pity about the lack of active braking in the ESU sound version, but that's a minor gripe.
Glad to see the Deltics are good models. I debated for a long time getting one of them, but after the Brush type 2's were announced I decided to skip this release and wait for that one instead. Always a bit scary when a manufacturer gets their first engines delivered, I have the Victory by Planet Industrials on preorder and lets hope thats gonna be a succes.
@@alanrobertson9790 yeh that was the main thing really. I just have no use for getting one for my layout so paying large sums of money for something just because isnt really the brighest idea.
@@Wallsrail Hi 👋🏻 Mr Train man. It’s our first visit to our holiday home in Spain 🇪🇸 for 3 years 🙄 But at least I can watch your RUclips videos on holiday 🤩
Nice review! I’m hoping mine will arrive shortly!!!👏👏👏👏 Sorry you have some bits that have come off? With some much detail, I guess it’s a possibility! Enjoy!👍👍👍
Great review. It is good to see a new manufacturer coming in to challenge Hornby, Bachmann, Heljan, and Dapol. You'll have to see how well this loco holds up to its life on your layout! It certainly looks like a good loco, but looks can be deceiving! Thanks for uploading.
With regards to the like's of Dave class47/Hornby Magazine, anything Accurascale is worth any penny spent! having spent a small fortune on Revolution Trains N gauge in the past (only to find its a expensive second rate product), I am now a bit spectacle of the finish product, often hear great worth ever penny, but are they rely?
Lovely, I have an irm irish rail , a , class loco put together by accuscale being waiting years for one to come out as I have an old lima version, blowen away by overall quality 😀
Found them, left them in the box for now. Will sort them out at a future time, when I start putting stuff back on the layout after its latest rebuild!!
I've just acquired a 121class locomotive from Murphy Model's. As I'm new to DCC have all Manufacturers decided together to make it less of having an Engineering degree in changing the sound Card. 🇮🇪🇪🇺
It is a very fine looking model, except perhaps for the plastic look it has for the overall finish, perhaps i am just used to seeing dirty examples of Deltics....
I'm sure some weathering would do it the world of good. To tone those Plasticy looking bits down. One will will need a ton of courage to do it though!! 😬
“Worth every penny of my hard earned cash!” Can’t get a more honest review than that! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!

Great to get a first review. Looks good. Sold out on the Accurascale site now but fortunately I ordered one.

Amazing at the price. Others should take note.
Thank you for that. Looks brilliant. Love the Chip access.
Nice short review, cant wait to open mine up tomorrow

What a great model just a tip when you fix on the name plates don't use glue I find it best to use double sided tape with using that there's no mess,
Box big enough to house an O gauge one if you took care handling it. 🤣 looks good!

Yes 31s a lot more versatile than a 55. Your priorities makes sense.
