They may not be true 1:64, but I still dig 'em. Actually have quite a bit from each of these brands. Those are very cool castings from each. Good stuff.
The mushed up Lambo looks kinda like a Lancia Rally. I grab the HWs toon'd cars when I see them. But, I'm saving them for my grandson. I think they're all kinda cool, I just don't need/want another diecast theme to collect, lol.
Not a bad bunch of models. I used to collect Muscle Machines. Before they were owned by Maisto they were run by people now running M2. My favorite is the Lamborghini Countach. Thank you for sharing.
The MM Z is certainly a chase. That sticker is the Chase sticker though the last 2 years they eliminated the sticker. Newer examples you have to look for the MM emblem on the car to determine a Chase. I collect these fake 1/64 cars but only models I collect so I have the Lambos, Zs, Porsches, etc.
Great video as always. But these models are way out of scale 😅 but I understand the point why you have them now. It’s great to have cars that you want regardless what brand or style.
I think it is funny when some companies market diecast cars in "1/64" scale. In saying this, i do buy them because they do like the castings. Many people can not be bothered by what scale they are or care to worry about it. Some companies do make interesting looking cars that do appeal to me. The maisto truck with the Datsun is closer 1/55 ?? (I have scaled them of as of now but i will) scale range. In saying this, it is not bad . I have a few of these maisto transport trucks myself, and other than the scaling problem, I do find a place for them.
I feel that these cars are not 1/64 but based on what? Like most Americans we presume Hot Wheels are 1/64 but when I saw Tomica Limited Vintage, I questioned Hot Wheels being 1/64. Again, how do we know what's 1/64?
@@647diecastMeasure the model's wheelbase and multiply it by 64. If it comes close to the actual car's given wheelbase then it's fair to say its true 1/64.
@@possibly8180 , I own a 2006 Mini Cooper. When I look at my Hot Wheels Mini it seems bigger in scale than most Hot Wheels. So what's close? I think Asian diecast manufacturers are more meticulous than Hot Wheels. "Close" isn't good enough for many buyers.
None of the HW or MB cars are to scale between each other. They always make them to fit the blister. So a bus and motorcycle will not be to scale to each other at all.
@@jack002tuber 🥶 I've heard the argument that Hot Wheels makes the car fit the blister but are you guessing? What proof do you have? Hot Wheels has a go kart. That's not made to fit the blister. Hot Wheels is simply sloppy.
It's not really the blister, but the wheels sizes, you can see models from 1/24 (some of the bikes) to 1/100 (some of the trucks), for the cars it's basically from 1/50ish to 1/72ish, it depends on the model and the wheels, it has to fit one of the 3 common wheels sizes for cars.
Ouch - not cool throwing those cool Muscle Machines in with the Z that began the video! The contempt with which you dismiss Muscle Machines hurts. 🙁 Raises the question, though: Why do these companies claim their cars are 1/64? Is it just so they can be classified as in the same league as Hot Wheels?
That 280z is actually a 280zx, you can tell by the headlights and the rear quarter window.
Hahahaha at first glance in your cover picture I thought that Firebird was a weird color for the HW 1:50 scale G-Machines tooling 😂
I miss the G machines series

I recommend to bring a cheap model of actual 1:64 with you when you go out hunting diecast for size reference

The deck on the hauler moves.
I really like the look of that Trans Am that’s nice!

Love the Maisto transports, I try to get as many as I can find.
Same thing with 'HO' scale too with small and large vehicles passing them off as 'HO'

I agree with this sentiment how do we know what truly 1:64. Time for nerds to bring out the rulers 😅

Clear back to Matchbox days, marketing places brand identity first. The packaging is the brand, it must fit in the packaging.
Did you say, 280 Zed? 🤣👌

Some of the Jada Big Time models were closer to AW 1/64 like the Suv's and Cadillacs
Charlie would like them😅💣👊✌️👍
Sweet👍😎
They are more like 1:43 Scale Jada Cars.
These 1:64 scale cars aren't what they seem!
HW run larger than 1/64. See any Civic or Shelby.
Some look ok but some. Their way off scale like hot wheels. I really do like the true scale

They just are not my thing. I get it that some people like cars that are stylized… I warm up to it sometimes but I really just like a realistic model
you don't like them - don't buy them - the rest of us love these neat little toys
