"My friend and his wife were living in Kuwait, where he earned around 5 lakhs per month, and she worked as a nurse in the ministry. They stayed in a spacious 3BHK flat. Despite their stable life, they decided to migrate to New Zealand with their two kids. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as planned-they’re now living in a small apartment, and he’s considering returning to Kuwait. However, at 45, it’s uncertain if his previous company will rehire him. I don’t understand why people take such risks when they already have a good life."

Thank you, Joshin, for sharing your perspective. While it's true that the current job market in New Zealand is challenging, once people secure employment, they can enjoy a range of benefits, including a better work-life balance, free education for kids, and access to public healthcare.
That said, it's crucial to carefully evaluate the current political, economic, and social conditions in any country before deciding to migrate. Taking a well-informed approach can help ensure a smoother transition and a more stable future.

What he said is absolutely true-we made the same mistake. We left well-paying jobs in the GCC and moved to New Zealand with high expectations. The repeated medical expenses for work visas, combined with living costs after the initial 3-4 months, depleted our savings. Like him, I ended up driving for Uber for nearly 8 months.

What people need to do is carefully analyze the current opportunities and circumstances before making migration decisions, rather than blindly following what others say. Migrating to European countries often offers long-term benefits compared to Gulf countries. In Europe, many countries provide pathways to permanent residency and citizenship, access to free or subsidized education, healthcare, and social benefits. These advantages ensure better stability and security for families. ❤️

We really appreciate this comment and are so happy you understood the core message of our video. It's important to us that people understand we're not trying to discourage anyone from coming to New Zealand. It's a beautiful country and a great place to live. However, the reality is that things have changed, particularly in the nursing field. Over the past few years, a large influx of nurses has led to significantly fewer job vacancies. Our goal is to highlight this reality based on people's experiences, so those considering migrating can make informed decisions and not be misled by false promises. We're grateful that you and other viewers have grasped the true meaning of our video.

      Hi Anu,
If I were in your position, I would complete the registration process as long as I could afford the full cost. Once that’s done, I would return to my original job or go back home. After obtaining registration, I would apply for AHPRA and then start applying for jobs in both countries. What you need to understand is that the job situation in New Zealand is very difficult, and Australia is also becoming more competitive. Once I secure a job, I would fly in, and after settling down, I would bring the rest of my family over.
      Hope this helps!

In IT as mentioned by Benny in this video a lot of people are jobless. Everyone thinks that like Bangalore and Chennai there are SEZs in New Zealand with big buildings and lot of IT service companies. Unfortunately this is not the case as NZ is a very small country. An IT project manager in India with lots of experience will not get the same role in NZ easily. You will have to work for a number of years in NZ and gain experience and then hopefully can go to manager/lead roles. Same is the case with other senior roles. While in NZ you may have to start small in IT. Hence a lot of IT professionals working in unorganised sectors. Most of these professionals have PR, still unable to get a job. So nothing to say about those that don’t have visa. Current economic situation is quite tough and this might go on for another year.

NZ is swargam, but without money, narakam. 😅 Rent is like rocket pole pokum. Jokes apart, expenses are based on lots of factors. Rent can be expensive in Auckland.
Living in a smaller city or town in NZ can be more affordable. Here's a rough estimate for a family of four:
      Rent (3-bedroom house): NZ$2,000 - NZ$3,000
      Groceries: NZ$ 800 - NZ$1,400
      Utilities: NZ$250 - NZ$350
      Transportation (car): NZ$200 - NZ$600
      Other expenses: NZ$300 - NZ$1,000
      Total estimated monthly expenses: NZ$3550 - NZ$6,350.
A combined household income of NZ$5,000 - NZ$8,500 per month (before tax) would provide a decent standard of living.
You can cut the costs by sharing accommodation with others or subletting your rooms which many people do here in nz.

Moving to New Zealand after retirement depends on your plans and finances. New Zealand has a good quality of life, peaceful surroundings, and good healthcare, which many retirees find attractive. But keep in mind, the cost of living is high, so you’ll need to check if your savings or income will be enough.
Many people choose New Zealand for retirement, and I would prefer to retire there too. The only thing I don’t like is the weather. However, places like Nelson, Marlborough, and Bay of Plenty have much sunnier and better weather.

I figured out that when I came there as a tourist for a week few years back. It cannot with stand the influx of job seekers from India. Australia also will have the same situation in few years. Canada with almost 8 times of the population of NZ is facing the same situation. These countries could not for see the "Indian invasion". 4.9 million people (mostly Indians) will lose visa status in Canada in 2025. Now question is how Canada is going to send them back?
