It's so much better. Very happy as I find platform IO awful. It was a bit rough during the beta, but it's nice and polished. Very happy user.

Some really good features in 2.0 - The serial Monitro and serial plotter at the same time helped me. a lot this weekend

Not sure why they think someone who programs an Arduino would be willing to pay for a Segger J-Link adapter! I've just bought on for a professional project (J-LINK Plus) and it cost me £700+. The J-Link Base is still around the £500+ mark. Who do they think uses Arduino's?? ... oh yeah, schools, universities and hobbyists, who wouldn't want to spend more than £50 on a JTAG adapter! I think Arduino has lost their way a bit here.

I started using it yesterday. I think the buttons on the left are not needed as well. But I'm missing the save button on the top menu bar!

Thanks for your review; very informative! One question about 2.0. Are new sketches still based on the BareMinimum sketch and it is modifiable? That was a very useful feature in 1.n. Thanks, again.

I already have 1.8.13 installed. If I install 2.0.4, will it find and use the libraries and boards I already have installed in 1.8.13?
Do I have to uninstall 1.8.13 if I want to have 2.0.4 installed?
    Thank you.

I think the old IDE is better.. much faster
I did not like that the new IDE is web based! makes it super slow compared to version 1.x

3:48 it is more intuitive for someone who use editors like VS code.

I find it absolutely disgusting that everywhere on the product page they dare to say that it's "faster" even though they switched to fucking Electron, and now it starts up super-slow, and eats up memory.
