I got Gyeon CanCoat on my car, and I love it. Easy to put on, has great gloss, and superb protection properties! I did it all outdoors in less than ideal conditions, and still worked. I will do another coat before winter.
I would love to see a full interior detail with an older car not a 2020 something that has been used more and pretty dirty inside I'm struggling to get a decent clean inside I don't have a wet vac atm lol
CanCoat is fantastics product! I used with triple layer application, it's incredible! Brightness and durability, 11 months! You're a leader, Pan, your chanell and your jobs are fantastics!
I applied this today on a white convertible mustang. I think I may have used more than needed as I had about half the can left after the 2nd coat. 50ml per coat. It was hard to see where it was going on white paint so I used a little more. I used my own applicator and used the included towel to wipe off. Wipe on wipe off. Easy application. Nice gloss. Paint felt slick on the 2nd coat.
Quang Pan has a great video called intro to polishing that is just what you are looking for. Check it out and he answers tons of questions. I still review it alot. Thx
@@PanTheOrganizer Hey Pan! I’m new to your channel and to car detailing. I used to drive old beater cars (12-15 yo) so I didn’t care much for the paint jobs but I just bought a 4 year old black SUV and I want to keep her shiny and protected and I want to do it myself. My question is in regards to polishing too. I live in an appartement so no access to pressure washer but I’ll go to my local manual car wash to do all of this on a quiet day so that’ll solve that issue :) As for the polish though, is there a way to polish the car without buying a polisher and pads? Thanks for posting your videos!!! I’m learning so much from you!!! :D
@@rudolphnash7471 i mean... he's got a point. Pan may not realized of what he was doing by spraying near the vehicle, given that he's already an expert
Can coat is game changer for those who likes to take care of the vehicle themselves. I'm one of those and hugely inspired by your work. How we can make sure if there is raining outside post 24-48 hours of coating and we don't clean that up, the rain drops will put spots on the paint. How to handle that situation?
Brian, I know right, easy great gloss, and great protection. You and I have full size crew cab pick ups, I killed myself prepping and putting on 3 coats (what GTechniq calls for) of GTechniq CSL and EXOV4. Heck doing the roof alone, is like doing a whole Mini Copper. Don't forget 20" wheels, and all that glass. Next time I get get a truck or any vehicle (I love the results of Can Coat) I'm going Gyeon Can Coat, and given it's ease I would actually welcome applying it a couple of times a year, because I enjoy doing that kind of stuff.
What about removal if we want to try a different product after Can Coat starts to fail. Would it need to be polished to remove any remnants of the coating?
Yesterday I posted a comment on another video you did and one of the replies you sent me was asking what videos I like on your channel... well after watching these 3 part videos... this is what I like. How well you explain the products, how well you explain on how to use them.. You cover every part of what to do. Watching these videos, I feel like I'm in class to learn how to detail! I do have one question about the ceramic coating... I don't have a garage to do any of this in.. My car is always parked outside so the cure time is hard for me to do... any tips for me?
Thanks for the positive feedback Jay. I love it. That's exactly one of the goals of my channel: to educate my viewers on proper techniques so that will empower them to go out there and enjoy detailing their cars with the confidence and knowledge that they can duplicate these steps at home. No problem if you don't have a garage. Just pick a day where it won't rain. ;)

@@PanTheOrganizer It's difficult to pick one. I like em all. I really like them all. There's always something to learn. You keep repeating some stuff, mostly prepping a car, in each video which is super helpful. It's like a revision and I always pick up small details that I might have missed. It's the very very small things like how you hold your towel or how you flip it over etc that makes things easier. Or how much pressure to apply. I don't know why but it's gone in my head that the more pressure you apply, better the results. So I gas out pretty soon. Lol! Great content. You have to open your own academy. You'll be a great teacher.
Great idea for a series, I really enjoyed it. Gyeon Can Coat certainly does not get enough exposure it's a great product. I hope to see you incorporating it in more of your videos, I recently applied GTechniq CSL and EXOv4 to my full size crew cab pick up truck. The results were stellar, though considering the work involved, prepping, polishing etc., then applying 3 coats the traditional way is very time consuming and taxing on the body, next time around I'm going with Can Coat.
Pan TheOrganizer looking on RUclips for Do it yourself auto detail and theta are many good channels air there sino of them with multimillion companies behind but so far you are the most “detailed” explanation yet simple.
Thanks again Pan. Gyeon makes awesome products. Need to try this out as usual. After your Saturday am video there is usually an amazon order immediately afterward- lol - i have the gyeon leather coat and it is amazing. You the best Pan
Voilà une superbe vidéo, j’ai une Lamborghini à faire la semaine prochaine donc je vais vite commander. Merci Pan , j’espère que le résultat va être au rendez-vous 🤩
You can still do all of these steps outside, just make sure you never work in direct sunlight. Work in the shade, on a cool surface. And remember to spray the CanCoat in the folded towel (so it doesn't go all over the place with the wind). Also, the new version of CanCoat, called CanCoat EVO lasts twice as long, and is outdoor friendly for the application. Link in the video description. As far as polishing, if you don't have a polisher, just note that your paint won't be improved. Paint polishing is what removes defects like swirls and scratches and oxidation. It makes the paint look glossy (way more than any paint protection can) and gives clarity and depth to the finish. Also, polishing is what removes 100% of any old protection that might be on your paint, a crucial step before applying a ceramic based protection, as the protection needs to bond to a virgin clear coat. If you have a wax on the paint currently, the coating won't bond as well and won't last as long.
Awesome job looking great like always showing the new comets for bigginer detailers your awesome jobs be safe god bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr
Thank you so much for this video. I followed your procedures and applied Can Coat! I thought this product would be forgiving to a newbie like me. My first time! After curing duration (12hrs fir bewer version?), when can we start washing cars? We may need to wait 7days or so like other ceramic coating?
Hi! I'm guessing you applied the latest CanCoat EVO version right? Gyeon recommends waiting at least 12 hours after the application before you expose the vehicle to water or rain. I recommend a full 24 hours if possible. And then, wait at least 7 days before you wash your car again. The coating continues curing during the first weeks. Ideally, I would say wait 2 weeks before you wash your car. You are correct. The same principles apply like a glass bottle coating. Cheers!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you so much! Yes that is what I applied. So excited to see beads! Here in Seattle we have no shortage of rain! Your whole process in detail is so helpful. So thank you.
I would wait a week until your first wash before using any other chemicals. But if you want to apply Cure right away, do it within 45-60 min after Can Coat.
You don't reuse the towel in this case. Just like ceramic coatings in glass bottles, you throw the towels after use. CanCoat is not your regular ceramic spray. It's a very strong ceramic coating in spray form.
No. With CanCoat, I find you can speed up the process with the towel which covers more surface area quicker, compared to a small microsuede applicator. There's a reason why they came up with this system over at Gyeon, with precise instructions. But feel free to experiment and see what works best for you. Welcome to my channel. Hey Pan , thanks for the great content, literally two weeks ago I had no idea what car detailing was 😀, I have a question, I was overwhelmed by the amount of preparation that has to be done before using the can coat, my car is pretty new, less than two weeks, it’s had some dust and dirt on it but it actually shows some beeding, I guess that maybe was done at the factory or just because of new paint, do I need to do all of this and use all of those products and polish or a good contact wash will do since it’s pretty new ?
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips as we surpassed 985,000 subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: ruclips.net/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/видео.html So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: RS6 Avant Performance: ruclips.net/video/L5SQ0ZIJCj0/видео.htmlsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Mercedes S 580: ruclips.net/video/Vq_tfcwryVI/видео.htmlsi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: ruclips.net/video/OKga3yZVTqo/видео.html Volvo XC60: ruclips.net/video/tvDBBenhYFA/видео.html Tesla Model Y: ruclips.net/video/gohks8xP5NY/видео.html Porsche 911 Carrera: ruclips.net/video/2ckiivbFqs4/видео.html Mercedes AMG GT63S matte black: ruclips.net/video/eU8zg1lXvXY/видео.htmlsi=oGxoCp8PWt7gTncV Audi Q7: ruclips.net/video/t7HCBSVnizM/видео.html
No different than removing any other coating... Cancoat actually has an advantage in that you can layer it later down the line without polishing it off. Matt just messed up by using some incorrect application methods as well as overspray in his climate controlled room.
Hello pan, thankyou for always sharing your experience with us. I have a ceramic coated car so I really wanna know which compound should I use to remove it. I’ll appreciate it if you can help mate ❤
Thanks Pan for all the info I have a problem on my alloy wheels as there is a lot of Browning which doesn't come off I've got white stains which I think maybe from allowing the iron remover to dry on the wheels (this was before i started watching your videos) I used the P and S brake duster and the ironx remover but to no avail. My only option could be to take it to a car detailing specialist to see what they can do with the wheels Do you have any other products or tips you could give us 1 - remove the brown staining as the wheels have a Matt black finish 2 - remove the white stains on the Matt black finish Any advice is appreciated greatly and again thanks for all your tips
Pan, I used the Can Coat on a couple vehicles I detailed for a few friends and I used it on my wife’s Bronco and my Bronco. I used the Can Coat Evo and this stuff is insane!! Now, can I use this as a topper on my existing Can Coat? I bought the ceramic detailer as well. Thanks for any and all input. Have a great day.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much. I haven’t used the Ceramic Detailer yet but I’m looking forward to it. So far, I’m loving Can Coat Evo and your video gave me the confidence to use a ceramic coating. Now, I’m telling everyone about it.

Hi Pan, another great tutorial video. I have a question for you. Instead of using Gyeon prime. Can I use Rupes ultra finish polish or Rupes stand alone protection polish. Base on your review I did pick up 7 gyeon chemicals. I forgot to get gyeon primer. I got rupes polisher in a kit. Which came with the compounds and polish.
The toughest part is prepping the paint. It requires patience and stamina. Every step individually looks easy but when we start doing it, we gas out by the time we are claying the paint. If we don't polish the car, is IPA step important? I guess claying is important if the paint surface feels gritty. A squeaky clean surface is definitely important if you want that shine and durability but getting that squeaky clean surface is one hell of a job if we are doing it at home.
Yes an IPA is always key prior to applying a ceramic coating. It makes sure to remove any polishing oils and residue (if you polished the paintwork) but even if you didn’t polish it will remove and remaining old protection, finger prints, oils, grime and prep the surface for the coating application. And yes, you got it, the hardest part of a ceramic coating application is actually the prep of the paint. The application of the coating itself is usually a breeze if all the prior steps were done to a T.

Hello.Nice detailed video.. One question please.. Which steps we have to follow if we have already applied cancoat before about 5 months. The car was for long time in the garage without moving.I just to want to refresh the coating..If i make clay, iron remover and prep will be remove or affect the previous coat?? Thanks in advance from 🇬🇷
Yasou! If you just want to refresh and add a new layer of the same CanCoat, you can just wash the car, use iron remover, Gyeon Prep to make sure the paint is ultra clean, and simply apply a fresh layer of CanCoat.
Hi Pan Amazing video . Could you please suggest? I applied CAN coat today , hope it lasts for 6-9 months. So after 6-9 months if I want to apply again , do I need to follow the same steps such as decontamination and paint prep which can last me for 6-9 months again ? Please answer Thanks Manny from Australia
Yes you would redo all the steps for maximum durability. The bare minimum though is to wash the car, use an iron remover, then when you are done rinsing and drying, use the Gyeon Prep to prep the surface, and apply a new fresh layer of CanCoat.
Hearing a lot of good things about Owners pride products and their ceramic coating. Would like to see you do a review on them. Also, I love all your videos!

To answer your question, it really depends on multiple factors so it's not a simple answer. It depends on your experience level, how bad the paint is (does it need paint correction?) among other things. On average, a typical wash, chemical decon, clay, paint prep spray and applying the coating will take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. If you need machine polishing, add a few more hours to the mix. Again, it will vary for every different person. But applying the spray on its own only takes a few minutes, as it's a spray on, wipe off, bingo done.
Once again, Pan knocks it out of the park. One suggestion though. It’s great that you tell us what the products that you used in these videos. An idea of price would be good as well. Perhaps a link to buy all the items with perhaps, a Pan the Organizer discount!!! Thanks Pan!!
No. Use the brand’s topper one first applying the coating. You want to ensure proper chemical compatibility as the coating still continues to cure during the following weeks. After two weeks, then you can start washing your car again and use a topper of your choice.
@Pan The Organizer how about put QD on Gyeon CanCoat EVO? 1 Quick Detailer per month or 3? I Have gyeon Ceramic QD but I don't know how much QD I can put on CanCoat
You can use your Gyeon Ceramic Detailer after every regular car wash if you want. Every 2 to 3 months, you will want to maintain CanCoat with something more durable like Gyeon WetCoat or Gyeon Cure.
Great video, i was just wondering if you have an coated car and wanted to apply a new coating for some reason, what type of pads and compound would you recommend if the paint is in good condition
No. But if I had to machine polish a coating off, I would use 3D One with Buff and Shine Uro Fiber pads. Watch my video: ruclips.net/video/2JDvQBs1viM/видео.html
Thanks Pan! I’m preparing to spray coat my car, but don’t know if I go with Adam’s Advanced Graphene Coating Spray or the one you showed in the video. Which spray coating do you think is the best in the market right now?
The new Gyeon CanCoat EVO (lasts twice as long as the original and you apply it the same way as in the video. Links in the description under the video).
Also. On the dodge ram cad wheel covers. What is going to use to get minor scratches out. Due to being hard plastic wheel cover on new dodge ram truck. Thx again
That depends how much defects are in your paint and also if you have any previous protection that needs to be removed. If you have deep scratches and swirls, you will likely have to start with a compound first, and then move to a polish. If you only have light scratches, perhaps only a polish is needed. Watch my ceramic coating application tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/видео.html
Hello Pan..... What happens after 6 to 8 months? Must you prepare the surface again with a wash, Clay, Polish, IPA again? I just got my wife her dream car..... It's not brand new, but it is a 2018 and we are watching all of your videos to see whats best. This video is 5 months old. Is there anything you'd recommend now? Thank you Pan!
This is a great choice if you want an easy to apply coating. If you are willing to put more hours into it, have more detailing experience and a bigger budget, you could go for a full blown ceramic coating in a glass bottle like in my popular tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/byKcYsEyWGk/видео.html But if you want quick and easy application, Gyeon Can Coat is very good. And in 6 to 8 months, you would do a wash, use an iron remover, possibly clay if you feel there is contamination in the paint (gritty feeling surface) and then possibly polish (to remove swirls and scratches if those bother you) and reapply a fresh coat. It's that simple.
Is there a big difference between the Geon ceramic coating and Hybrid Solutions by Turtle Wax? I've used the latter product and been happy with the results, other than applying it not being straightforward at all. It gets good reviews by Consumer Reports. Can you give a perspective as a professional car detailer?
Gyeon CanCoat EVO is a superior product. No doubt about it. But it also costs more. See my recent video on Gyeon coatings: ruclips.net/video/w_dpnJH_Mz0/видео.html
Pan, I’ve used CanCoat Evo and the product is great!!! I only applied one coat about 3 weeks ago. I’ve applied Ceramic Detailer and regular wash maintenance since then. Now, I’d like to add another coat of Evo. I’m a little confused on the process. Do I need to do a decon wash and IPA wipe down or can I just do a wash with Bathe+ and apply another coat? Any info would be great. Thanks and keep the great videos coming. Also, can Evo be used on the windshield? Thx.
Pan TheOrganizer - I got it off as soon as I saw it but, it being my wife’s car, it had been outside all day long in the hot sun. I removed it with detailing spray but it was too late: after washing and clay-barring there are still 4 small etched areas.
Pan can you do a video on removing a ceramic coating? I detailed my my car on an overcast day (figured it's not good to do in direct sunlight and I don't have access to keep the car indoors) but once I saw the paint in the sunlight I realized a bunch of imperfections. I used a spray coating like this one with about a year of protection (2 coats).
Pan TheOrganizer thanks Pan, tried it today and it worked great. Did a few passes with ultimate compound. I was using turtle wax's hybrid solutions line in case anyone else asks.
Thanks Pan, I have just bought a collector car in matte black. What happens if I put some Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray on it beside being a little more shiny? I tried a small sample area and it is still matte but darker which is very nice. Any possible damage to the paint (it’s not a wrap but paint)? Any way to contact you privately? Jacques
All their EVO line of coatings requires 12 hours of curing, which is half the time of normal coatings that require 24 hours of curing. If you can't guarantee your car doesn't get wet for those 12 hours, then perhaps look at another form of protection like a standard wax or paint sealant. Welcome to my channel. I have not done ceramic coating yet because I was afraid I would mess up, but this product looks good. and probably the way you explain, it looks more easy :) I use Turtle waz ICE Seal & Shine as by go to protectant. Is it good to apply ceramic coat and the seal n shine in subsequent maintenance washes?
I personally use blowers all the time, in fact I made a video about my three blowers here: ruclips.net/video/4up2Atg4ks0/видео.html But not everyone has the budget for one, or storage, so I also present alternative methods with a good microfiber drying towel. Also, blowers are only efficient if the paint has protection on it. They don’t work as well on unprotected paint.
Is the iron remover ok to be used on a matte xpel ppf film? I am trying to figure out the best way to clean my car and apply the matte Gyeon ceramic coating. Any tips will be much appreciated.
Great video and information!! Quick question. I want to use Can Coat on a new car but I have a ton of Beadmaker left over. Can I use the Beadmaker as a drying aid on a car that has Can Coat ceramic coating? Thank you.

How long does Gyeon Can Coat last once the bottle is opened? I hear that those regular small glass bottles of ceramic coating only last about 30 days once it is opened. Is that true? Thanks!
Don’t quote me on this, but I heard one or two months once the bottle is open (like most coatings). One to two years if unopened and stored in stable conditions (not frozen). Perhaps confirm with Gyeon.
There is no benefit in doing so. Gyeon doesn't officially recommend two layers, but if you absolutely want to layer it, I think they said you wait 1 hour after the first layer, and apply the second. But you should confirm with them to make sure. By the way, the new EVO version they released a year or two ago is even better. Lasts up to 10-12 months and is just as easy to apply.
Thanks Joel. I have an old school Japanese car from the 80s with raised white lettering on the tires...will that tire treatment work without staining the letters? if not you have any other alternatives?
Hi Pan - if preparing an older vehicle (mine is 2016, unfortunately previous owner hasn’t looked after the paint particularly well, looks of swirl marks and some blemishes as well) - would it be worth using a medium cut compound or even heavy as an extra step, or in replacement of the primer step? Brand new to machine polishing! Just ordering one as we speak, have been watching your vids with great interest, fantastic description level!
Hi Pan, Great videos! Greatly appreciate the steps you walk us through to coat a car. Is Can Coat similar to Xpel Ceramic Boost? I have a brand new Lexus that had PPF installed on parts of it and the installer also applied Xpel Ceramic Boost over the entire car, PPF and paint. I was planning to apply Gtechniq CSL to the Paint and HALO to the PPF but now am not sure what the best process would be to remove the Xpel Ceramic Boost before applying Gtechniq. I have been told to use everything from a 70% IPA mixture, Xpel PPF Cleaner, CarPro Reset to polishing the entire car. If need be I could do a light polishing of the paint maybe using the Primer you used as well as PPF Renew to prep the PPF. Do you have any experience with Cermaic Boost and what would be your recommendations?
I don't have experience with XPEL Ceramic Boost, but from what I hear, it's nowhere near the durability or performance of Gyeon CanCoat EVO. XPEL Boost seems to be a light ceramic spray. CanCoat EVO is the highest performing spray coating out there. After that, the next step is a true coating in a glass bottle. CanCoat EVO is the new version of CanCoat, and has double the durability. So instead of 4-6 months like the original formula, the EVO version now boasts 10-12 months durability. But be careful with XPEL PPF, as I heard that if you use any other protection except from XPEL it might void your warranty. So check with your PPF installer first. Second, the only way to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection is by machine polishing.
Hi Pan. I applied Cancoat a week ago and now I see I wasn’t careful enough in regards to overspray. It’s bad on the glass and a couple other areas. What do you recommend? Can I clay it?
Claying won't remove that unfortunately. To remove durable coatings like that the only way, especially if it has already had days to cure, is machine polishing. As mentioned in the video and in Gyeon's own videos, it's important to be VERY careful to spray in a folded microfiber towel, AWAY from the vehicle. That avoids any overspray issues.
Great video as always. I have a 2020 ram truck. I have xpel on the hood, mirrors, fenders and bumper. Do I need to clay that and spray it with iron remover? They said i can wax it but not sure about the other stuff.
Is it okay to use IPA after contact washing my car? It's about 2months old only. Not too confident of polishing and using clay yet. Also, iron remover that you recommended are hard to come by in our part of the world. So my system will look like (for now): foam wash, contact wash with ph neutral shampoo, IPA then TW SnS then topped by TW ice dry wax.
Seal N Shine is good and inexpensive and lasts 4-6 months. But the new CanCoat EVO can last up to 12 months, better gloss and slickness, better hydrophobic properties. It’s on another level.
@@PanTheOrganizer ok. just ordered the can-coat...and because they give free shipping, had to order car pro perl, uber sio2 rinseless gallon, and convertible fabric waterproofer.

What a time to be alive ! It keeps getting easier to get decent results for us the weekend warriors
Totally!
I got Gyeon CanCoat on my car, and I love it. Easy to put on, has great gloss, and superb protection properties! I did it all outdoors in less than ideal conditions, and still worked. I will do another coat before winter.
Thanks for sharing!
Well Gyeon, if you read this, i’m happy to receive a full starter pack. I’m broke of have to buy all these products ... 😉
I would love to see a full interior detail with an older car not a 2020 something that has been used more and pretty dirty inside I'm struggling to get a decent clean inside I don't have a wet vac atm lol
A quick search will show hundreds of these types of videos and a few by Pan already

I would like an in-depth step of polishing such as advance tips, cleaning in between passes, what to do and not to do etc. Great video

I think it’ll be cool to have a video to go over various defects, and compare a cleaner wax, vs All in one, one step, compound, and polish, etc.
Should be spraying this into the cloth away from the vehicle, being ceramic based overspray droplets will dry hard.
@@rudolphnash7471 i mean... he's got a point. Pan may not realized of what he was doing by spraying near the vehicle, given that he's already an expert

Hi Xavier! It’s cool that I can inspire my viewers!
Pan TheOrganizer indeed! 🙌🏻
Did not know there is a certification for detailing.
Can coat is game changer for those who likes to take care of the vehicle themselves. I'm one of those and hugely inspired by your work. How we can make sure if there is raining outside post 24-48 hours of coating and we don't clean that up, the rain drops will put spots on the paint. How to handle that situation?
After 24 hours it won’t matter if it rains. If you ever get water spots, you’ll be happy to see next week’s tutorial where I talk about this. ;)
Looks like Gyeon has some awesome products. I hope to try more soon and that can coat looks stupid simple to use. Great video brother!
Thanks bro! Wish April a happy birthday from me!
Jay Zstr I agree cleaning our trucks is very tiring. This can coat looks awesome for that.

Great video, easy to do looks like. I was curious, when you have to reapply the coat. Do you have to clay and polish again?
Just wash, IPA wipe and apply a fresh layer.
Good question Justin Snow and thanks for the reply Pan.
So in case of just reapplying cancoat the iron stage is not neseccesary?given that the previous coat is well maintened and well cleaned

Excellent guide. However I want to ask. What are my options when I don't have a garage and polisher.

After applying can coat, what's the waiting time before we can apply toper gyeon cure?
I would wait a week until your first wash before using any other chemicals. But if you want to apply Cure right away, do it within 45-60 min after Can Coat.

Hi Pan, as always, great video! Thanks. I got a question, how to clean the towel that was used to apply the coat, any special way to clean it?
You don't reuse the towel in this case. Just like ceramic coatings in glass bottles, you throw the towels after use. CanCoat is not your regular ceramic spray. It's a very strong ceramic coating in spray form.
Thank you always for answering questions and providing helpful information!!
My pleasure! 😁👍🏻 And thanks for helping to support my channel. I appreciate it.

how often do you flip the towel when applying the coating?
We will never know
Hi Pan, have you ever applied Can Coat with a rectangular microfiber applicator instead of the towel?
No. With CanCoat, I find you can speed up the process with the towel which covers more surface area quicker, compared to a small microsuede applicator. There's a reason why they came up with this system over at Gyeon, with precise instructions.
But feel free to experiment and see what works best for you.

A new car is never new until it's properly detailed.
- at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example.
- vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc
- vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements
- at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches
- at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery.

Good luck to the owner, when he has to remove the old Can Coat. Get Matt “can’t coat” Moreman to perform some rage polishing on it lol.
Does Can Coat need to be polished off? I would have thought being a 6 month coating time would pretty much do the trick.
No different than removing any other coating... Cancoat actually has an advantage in that you can layer it later down the line without polishing it off. Matt just messed up by using some incorrect application methods as well as overspray in his climate controlled room.

Can I use ceramic retailer instead of cure to protect after application? Must I wait 12 after can coat hours to apply?
Hi pan how does this compare to last coat black ice?

Yes you would redo all the steps for maximum durability.
The bare minimum though is to wash the car, use an iron remover, then when you are done rinsing and drying, use the Gyeon Prep to prep the surface, and apply a new fresh layer of CanCoat.

Pan. Appreciate the intricate detail of use of products. How much to do that kind of detail. $$$$
Once again, Pan knocks it out of the park. One suggestion though. It’s great that you tell us what the products that you used in these videos. An idea of price would be good as well. Perhaps a link to buy all the items with perhaps, a Pan the Organizer discount!!! Thanks Pan!!

Pan, I noticed your “leaf blower”? Can you tell me what brand that is? Thanks again.
Do you think Xtreme solutions Topper would be a good substitute for Gyeon Cure an hour after applying Can Coat? They both appear to be silica based.
No. Use the brand’s topper one first applying the coating. You want to ensure proper chemical compatibility as the coating still continues to cure during the following weeks.
After two weeks, then you can start washing your car again and use a topper of your choice.
@@PanTheOrganizer Great information. Thanks Pan!
@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan, what about Gyeon Quick Detailer instead of Cure? Could it work?

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for your kind answer. For maintenance, do you suggest Gyeon Ceramic Detailer or CarPro Reload 2.0?
Also. On the dodge ram cad wheel covers. What is going to use to get minor scratches out. Due to being hard plastic wheel cover on new dodge ram truck. Thx again
Can you do this on chrome as well?
Yes you can.
If I want the best results with a 2 year old car, should I first use Gyeon Polish and then finish off with Gyeon Primer?
That depends how much defects are in your paint and also if you have any previous protection that needs to be removed.
If you have deep scratches and swirls, you will likely have to start with a compound first, and then move to a polish.
If you only have light scratches, perhaps only a polish is needed.

This is a great choice if you want an easy to apply coating. If you are willing to put more hours into it, have more detailing experience and a bigger budget, you could go for a full blown ceramic coating in a glass bottle like in my popular tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/byKcYsEyWGk/видео.html
But if you want quick and easy application, Gyeon Can Coat is very good.
Pan,
I’ve used CanCoat Evo and the product is great!!! Thx.
Will the paint-correction/polishing step remove bird-poo etching? Great videos, Pan!
Yes, unless it has been on there for too long and has caused permanent damage to the clear coat.
The only way to properly remove a ceramic coating is through machine polishing.
Pan TheOrganizer thanks Pan, tried it today and it worked great. Did a few passes with ultimate compound. I was using turtle wax's hybrid solutions line in case anyone else asks.
@@batvon39 TWHS wouldn't be considered a ceramic coating as it has only a small % of si02 in it.
Bill McCann what % makes it a ceramic coating?
Thanks Pan, I have just bought a collector car in matte black. What happens if I put some Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray on it beside being a little more shiny? I tried a small sample area and it is still matte but darker which is very nice. Any possible damage to the paint (it’s not a wrap but paint)?
Any way to contact you privately?
Jacques
what are your clay recommendations, I used to use the meguairs classic quick clay kit but I am looking to change without breaking the bank.

Hi Pan one more question. What do you like better Cancoat or DuraSlic flow X? Thanks.
FlowX is slicker but CanCoat EVO will likely last longer in most conditions.
Which Gyeon ceramic coating that has little curing time? It's not possible to wait for 12 hours in Indonesia as we get rain randomly
All their EVO line of coatings requires 12 hours of curing, which is half the time of normal coatings that require 24 hours of curing. If you can't guarantee your car doesn't get wet for those 12 hours, then perhaps look at another form of protection like a standard wax or paint sealant.

I have not done ceramic coating yet because I was afraid I would mess up, but this product looks good. and probably the way you explain, it looks more easy :)
I use Turtle waz ICE Seal & Shine as by go to protectant.
Is it good to apply ceramic coat and the seal n shine in subsequent maintenance washes?
No. Pick one or the other.

Can you do a video on cleaning and protecting Xpel Film coating??
Thanks for this 3 part video series Pan! Are there any steps for the prep that would be different for PPF protected surfaces? Thanks!
I'm curious, why not use a dedicated car dryer/blower instead of a towel?
Thank you.
I personally use blowers all the time, in fact I made a video about my three blowers here: ruclips.net/video/4up2Atg4ks0/видео.html
But not everyone has the budget for one, or storage, so I also present alternative methods with a good microfiber drying towel.
Also, blowers are only efficient if the paint has protection on it. They don’t work as well on unprotected paint.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the quick response. I'll check out the video! Thanks again.
Thank you.
Yes. You can use Bead Maker on top of any protection: waxes, sealants and coatings.

You’re the man….thank you!
If I want to apply two coats of Cancoat, how much time is required in between coats?
There is no benefit in doing so. Gyeon doesn't officially recommend two layers, but if you absolutely want to layer it, I think they said you wait 1 hour after the first layer, and apply the second. But you should confirm with them to make sure.
By the way, the new EVO version they released a year or two ago is even better. Lasts up to 10-12 months and is just as easy to apply.
This is a great video! Thanks. Do you have a video or have your ever done ceramic coating over PPF?
Thanks Joel. Yes I have a video right here: ruclips.net/video/7RCgqdGrvrA/видео.html
With over 800 videos on my channel, and new ones added twice weekly, you'll likely always find what you're looking for. Just use the search terms and add my name in the RUclips search bar. For example, if you type "ceramic coating PPF Pan The Organizer" you would find that video. ;)
I have used this and The Last coat 2, but can't decide which I like best. What do you think?
The Gyeon will last a lot longer and has better hydrophobics in my opinion.
Gyeon has done it again amazing products! Awesome video Pan!
Thanks for your support bud!
@@PanTheOrganizer Sure thing bud anytime!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the prompt reply. I believe as well that I'm going to have to do a machine polishing just to be sure.
Hi
What is your opinion about using steam wash than water wash
I don’t use steam to wash cars as we have abundant water here in Canada. So I have no opinions on steam cleaning unfortunately.
Pan TheOrganizer Thankyou
Great video as always. I have a 2020 ram truck. I have xpel on the hood, mirrors, fenders and bumper. Do I need to clay that and spray it with iron remover? They said i can wax it but not sure about the other stuff.
Is it okay to use IPA after contact washing my car? It's about 2months old only. Not too confident of polishing and using clay yet. Also, iron remover that you recommended are hard to come by in our part of the world. So my system will look like (for now): foam wash, contact wash with ph neutral shampoo, IPA then TW SnS then topped by TW ice dry wax.
i see cancoat is on sale for $50...is this something i need? turtle wax seal and shine has been so nice for me.
