I just have to say: THANK YOU for making this. Thank you for all the effort you put into these readathons. I genuinely just love them so much, and it’s because it feels so real and involved and I can’t say thank you enough.
I really appreciate you talking about being a slightly slower reader. I struggle to read sometimes due to cognitive disabilities and it can be a lot to try to read sometimes. Love your TBR! 🥰
First OWLs readathon for me! I am super excited!! I applaud you for all this preparation that you did! The career that I chose is journalist/writer. I am a slow reader and just started getting into books, so I chose the career with not a lot of books to read. Good luck to everyone who will be participating!😘😘
Omg, Cursebreaker is my career too! So excited for this readathon, and I’ve already completed ancient runes and arithmancy! I am loving this readathon so much!
I'm going for Curse breaker too, and I'll try also Librarian cause I find it soo interesting. I loved the part from the leaflet that if you're not going to take this career you'd forget it. So magical, love all the details. Amazing work ! So excited !
Can’t wait to start reading!! I also have Every Heart a Doorway on my tbr. I’m the most excited for On the Come Up though! It’s my contemporary read and also happened to be the book for my local bookclub.
I'm posting my first video ever today and already filmed the TBR for the readathon as well!! I should have picked a few comic books because there's no way I can read everything I have on my TBR, but I'm so excited for all of them! Mostly maybe Nevermoor!!
I did participate last year. It did get me reading again! I read 4 books last time. I normally don't read that much in a month. I'm kind of a slow reader...I was looking for readathons and liked yours best. Thank you for creating this! It got me out of my reading slump. I think I'm gonna go for Auror (just like Harry) and see if I can get 5 in this round! I love the booklet btw. Fantastic addition! :)
only found your channel on Thursday and im STILL trying to complete the readathon somehow. im aiming for curse breaker too and im currently half way through my 3 book. Just like you I find it hard to read description heavy books and I like a lot of dialogue. I only found this channel this week but immediately clicked the subscribe and the bell 💕
I am going for Wandmaker! TBR: Uprooted, Rick and Morty Dungeons and Dragons, Keeper of the Lost Cities: Exile, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and The Cruel Prince. Super excited! Awesome work on the career pamphlet!
I took a quiz online and apparently the best career that suits me is Hogwarts Professor. Not surprised at all about this. Am going to try and read at least 7 books. I chose Transfiguration for my "want to teach" subject. I really am sooo excited for this! Thank you so much for making such an affort creating this! :)
I’m so excited! This will be my first magical readathon and I’m struggling to decide my career and my tbr list, there are just too many great options!!
SO excited for OWLs!! I still have to figure out what career I’m going for... AHHH. Yessss you’d be an awesome curse breaker!! you did such an incredible job with all this, G!! The Silent Patient sounds super interesting - I hope it’s as good as it sounds. Hahaha I love your sprayed edges!!!
I am going for metal charmer and I'm so excited for all of it. I have quite a few sequels on my tbr so I know I'll probably really like them. I am most excited to continue on with the murderbot series (book 3 for DADA and book 4 for divination).
YAAASSS OWLLLSSSSSSSS! You know I’ve been waiting for this round & cant wait to join in! You will be a wonderful Curse Breaker! I’m reading Monstress vol 3 as well, technically an unofficial buddy ready YAAASSS.
I am so looking forward to this readathon! I plan on filming my tbr tomorrow. I absolutely loved Every Heart A Doorway. I actually ended up liking the 2nd book in that series even more than I did the first one.
Loved this video!! I am totally using this chance to read a lot of comics. And Oh my gosh, Every Heart a Doorway, I REALLY enjoyed the story. It's a short book, so I get the comment about the execution, but in the limited pages, it is amazing. The characters really make the book and the whole concept is wonderful. I'm enjoying them all on Audiobook and I can't wait to start the second.
I am SO PUMPED for the readathon. I, too, have been having a slow reading time so far. It's probably only noticeable to me, but it's frustrating. I am so excited for you to read The Silent Patient. I read a lot of thrillers, so I'm super picky because some of them are just crap. I was really impressed, though. I may end up reading Monstress Volume 1 if I run out of time for my adult read. I don't have any comics only because I was so focused on doing books I own, or that have been on my TBR forever. I mostly did okay....😌

This reminds me that I need to film my TBR! I finalized my choices yesterday, so now it's time to share them 😉 Also, An Ember in the Ashes is one of my favorites!!! This series is just so good
I ended up choosing to pursue a career as a Librarian! 💖 I was going to read A Curse So Dark And Lonely for Ancient Runes as well, but I ended up changing my mind! 😅 I'll now be reading The Goose Girl!
So excited to participate in this readathon! I'm hoping to study for Healer who helps out at Hogwarts and travels when need be. The book that I'm hoping I will love the most is a toss up between three- Dragonsworn (Dark-Hunter #26) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , Serpent's Shadow by Mercedes Lackey or In the Region of the Summer Stars (Eirlandia, #1) by Stephen R. Lawhead. Best of luck with your TBR! I'm trying to stick to mostly short books and hoping to get to all of the subjects but I won't be stressed if I don't.
Oh, I'm so excited this will be my first readathon as a booktuber! All the Happy Potter heart-eyes!!! PS: This is amazing! The detail and time you put into this... just all the feels!
I want to try the career of Librarian, because I believe it has the perfect combination of challenge and fun! You put so much work into this challenge, I am shook.
A Curse So Dark and Lonely was such a fantastic retelling! It did fly for the size, you’re probably right, it is probably because it’s dialogue heavy. The Silent Patient sounds AMAZING, I may need to squash it in too. I forgot the extra credit readathon!!! I’ll have some extra time too that I forgot, good thing you mentioned that 😂
I wanted to give myself a little bit of a challenge for this month, since my reading has went downhill a little bit, but didn't want to over do it since I am also participating in Camp Nanowrimo this month. So with that being said I chose the career of a Hogwarts Professor, and picked out my TBR tentatively this morning.
Oh you got the comic on kindle in the end!? Nice. I've picked it for my TBR too. Super excited to get stuck into The Silent Patient! Interested to see what you think of Monstress. I think I'd need to reread volume 2 before I read volume 3. Hyped to finally get to ember!!! Oooooo I keep toying with every heart a doorway because the premise sounds soooooooooo freaking cool but yes as you're saying right now haha I've heard mixed reviews and it kind of stopped me. Interested to see what you think. Every time you talk about "I hear the sunspot" it makes me want to read it so bad ha.
I'm so excited! I missed out last year on the #magicalreadathon but I was able to do the extra credit so I'm excited to start a little early. So, happy to see your recommendation for the topics. I'm going to try and read all 12 books because I don't know what I want to go for. I'm doing 6 mangas/ graphic novels, 3 audiobooks, and 3 books. Hopefully, I can pull it off 😹 if not, it's ok lol. Good luck! You got this 😸.
Thank you so much for your creativity and just overall loveliness! You make watching RUclips so much fun and seeing you have fun with it is amazing! In my opinion you are one of the best creators on RUclips 💕 hope you are well! Cannot wait to sit the OWLs! Nervous for my first readathon but it’s gonna be so much fun ☺️💕
I'm pumped! and worried, because my dissertation is due end of April XD But still, reader has got to read. In lowering order of difficulty, I'm attempting the careers of: Alchemist > Astronomy Professor > Astronomer I'm most excited for Herbology! I've been wanting to read The Magician's land for ages and now is a good time to do so (there are shrubs on the cover, I swear XD that totally counts as a plant)
I haven't mad my TBR yet, but I decided on a career path earlier this morning: Librarian. I have a secondary career option of Journalist because a gal always needs something to fall back on.
I'm hesitating between Potioneer, Hogwarts Professor (for Potions) and Magizoologist: so hard to choose!!! I think I'll try to read for all the prompts for these three careers, and I'll choose for the NEWTs! (hoping I'll be more decisive then ^^') Happy readathon!! :D
Haha I chose A Curse so dark and lonely too 😺 i am so excited to participate this round for the first time! Thank you for all your hard work on making a thorough experience! I’ll do my best!! Unfortunately this month is totally insane!!! I maybe forced with following the twins path for my future 🤣🤣 lmao
I just wanted to thank You!!! Really... This whole thing is just AMAZING and intricate and you are MOST CERTAINLY a witch!! Well done G 🤗 All the love from Portugal💕💕
The book I am most excited for is definitely the new German book of Walter Moers "Der Bücherdrache" I will read this for Care of Magical Creatures. I hope a dragon is ok as an landanimal? The hard part will be to wait until next Monday to start it. 😉
I decided to do Librarian this year since that is my real job! :3 Out of my tentative picks for the prompts, I am most looking forward to History of Magic. I am going to be reading The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I am currently reading the first one (Fellowship of the Ring), which got me out of a bad reading slump. I have also watched the movies and love them, so I have high hopes for the book!
I have high hopes for Priory to be amazing, though I am REALLY afraid. I do have backup books (it's my Herbology pick) if I feel like I can't get through it. It will also be my first book to tackle during the Readathon because I still have the first week of April off from university. OH and I also have A Curse So Dark and Lonely on my TBR, but I think it wasn't one of the prompts I definitely needed for the career of a Healer
I’m still trying to choose between librarian and curse breaker but a lot of the owls overlap for those two so I figure Ill just complete the owls for both and then make a final decision during Newts ! !
I picked Circe by Madeline Miller for my tbr and I hope that is as good as other people have said it is! I picked the career of a librarian, and the rest of my tbr is so far looking very unique :)
Arghhhh I nearly wet myself with excitement when I saw you've put The Silent Patient in your TBR. I CANNOT wait to see what you think of it 😁😁😍 Love your dedication with the sprayed edges 😂 outstanding! I loved Every Heart a Doorway, I loved the whole of the Wayward Children series tbh. Love your TBR G. So excited for this readathon. Really giddy to have 3 extra days to start the Charms book as well. Roll on our OWLs ❤️
Yayyy, my first readathon, so excited!!! I'm going for Writer, an easy one because on April 1st, or April fools lol, I will start my classes to get the driving license and I will be quite busy. I'm 28 so I feel I'm going late, but this is the first time I have enough money to do it, so yeah. It's not for pleasure but for necessity, so I'm not excited for that... lol BUT, these are my O.W.L.s TBR: History of Magic - Do androids dream of electric sheep (thank you for the idea!! And also I love Blade Runner (you need to watch it!) and so excited to maybe read the same book as you :D Muggle Studies - The girl on the train Other subject: Divination - Monstress Vol.1.
this is my first time doing this and I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!! And it's my first readalong so extra excited haha. Does a tree count as a plant on the cover for herbology?
I did The Silent Patient as audiobook and heard it in 2 sittings (9+ hours) and I NEVER do this. I usually have one audiobook per month and this works for me. It's a great book, have fun while reading it :) I also have Monstress (but Vol 2.) in my OWLs tbr! Also I have Priory of the Orange Tree for the OWLS o.O oh my... but I really need to read this in April because I doubt if I am able to read such a massive book once my little Babygirl will be here in May so I really have no choice, haha.
I am actually going for alchemist so thank the saints for graphic novels and manga. I already read daytrippers and it was so good I really enjoyed it so I hope you like it 😊
This is one of the times when I regret that I'm Not into Comic Books and that al the Books im interested in reading are Not thin. :D I also Set my tbr for all the subjects but I think I'm going for becoming a Hogwarts teacher. Or I'll just See what my accomplished OWLS will allow me in the end. XD I've chosen a Lot of Books I wanted to reread for some time and I'm pretty excited to get back to seem and See if I still like them the Same way and I chose some Books I've got the audibook Version, too so that I can continue "reading" while doing the laundry, doing the grocery shopping, etc.
I am so excited for this! I'm going for Magizoologist! I will film my TBR during the week and hope to have it up next weekend. But I am so darn excited to take part again!
@@BookRoast there feels like there is a large increase of participants this year, it's going to be so fun! Thank you, again, for putting this together!
Eyyy I've put A Curse So Dark and Lonely on my TBR too. I was considering Circe but I was feeling beauty and the beast so much more. Quick question though, you said that comics count for more than one author but would short story anthologies count? I have one I really want to read and it is the only one that could fit that prompt.
First time doing a readathon! Really excited about it! I'm not sure yet what career I'm gonna go for. I'm thinking about Curse Breaker or Mind Medic. I have most of my tbr but I'm missing the Arithmancy book. Any suggestions?
I just have to say: THANK YOU for making this. Thank you for all the effort you put into these readathons. I genuinely just love them so much, and it’s because it feels so real and involved and I can’t say thank you enough.
Me and my best friend just spent an hour deciding our careers and what books we were going to read, so fun!!
Can we please talk about how GORGEOUS you look?
Aww thank you so much that's so kind
I am very excited for this readathon! I am going to attempt the career of a healer! 💖💖💖 I want to be Madam Pomfrey's assistant 😅
Am also reading A Curse so Dark and Lonely for the retelling, it's just such an easy new pick.
i just found out about this readathon and now i'm obsessed! i can't wait to do my TBR!
OMG, this premieres in 15 minutes and I'm ABOUT to start filming mine! So excited about this round!!!
Oh I'm so intrigued to watch yours!!
Oooo I was gonna film mine soon. Lol you sprayed the edges of the book 😂 Hay it works!
I also picked A Curse So Dark and Lonely for my retelling book! I am so excited to get started on it!!
Love the dedication of spraying the edges yourself!
Can’t wait to start reading!! I also have Every Heart a Doorway on my tbr. I’m the most excited for On the Come Up though! It’s my contemporary read and also happened to be the book for my local bookclub.
I just discovered this and I'm so excited to join. I need to find a job first! I can't wait for April 1st!
I'm posting my first video ever today and already filmed the TBR for the readathon as well!! I should have picked a few comic books because there's no way I can read everything I have on my TBR, but I'm so excited for all of them! Mostly maybe Nevermoor!!

Just like you I find it hard to read description heavy books and I like a lot of dialogue. I only found this channel this week but immediately clicked the subscribe and the bell 💕
I LOVE that you sprayed the edges to make it fit! Legit the best tone for a readathon. Yes, follow the prompts but make them suit you! =D
I’m going for Wand-maker! I read almost exclusively on my Kindle, so am going to have to pay attention to the covers of the books I choose!
I study archaeology so of course I will go with curse breaker! This week I’ll select my TBR, can’t wait!
I am so happy I have found someone else who shares my habit of taking my time with description heavy books!
I love how we're both going for Curse Breaker, but our TBRs are so very different

I'll be reading the Silent Patient for charms too and I'm so excited!

I’m going to go Hermione on it, because last year I got them and then the NEWTs were so motivating for a great reading month!

I'm enjoying them all on Audiobook and I can't wait to start the second.
Every Heart a Doorway is fantastic ✨ I flew through the whole series in 5 days!
I wish they were a bit cheaper I need the last two so bad! 😭
This series is just so good
I'm becoming a healer. Love how I filmed mine this morning and then saw this😂 x
I ended up choosing to pursue a career as a Librarian! 💖 I was going to read A Curse So Dark And Lonely for Ancient Runes as well, but I ended up changing my mind! 😅 I'll now be reading The Goose Girl!
Can’t wait to start trying to become a Hogwarts Professor 😍 thank you so much for organizing everything, I’m so excited!
This readathon is utterly incredible! I'm hoping to become a wandmaker 😊
So excited to participate in this readathon! I'm hoping to study for Healer who helps out at Hogwarts and travels when need be. The book that I'm hoping I will love the most is a toss up between three- Dragonsworn (Dark-Hunter #26) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
, Serpent's Shadow by Mercedes Lackey or In the Region of the Summer Stars (Eirlandia, #1) by Stephen R. Lawhead. Best of luck with your TBR! I'm trying to stick to mostly short books and hoping to get to all of the subjects but I won't be stressed if I don't.

So excited for April. I’m going to try and read all 12 books since i have school holidays. Hope it goes well and i going for Mind Medic.
This is going to by my very first readathon. I am so excited. The career I'm going for is Healer!
Daytripper is an amazing comic! If you don’t get a chance to read it in April you should definitely prioritise it in May 💜
I read the librarian description and immediately knew that was it. So excited for this!
A curse so dark and lonely is so good ,I read it quickly, so hopefully you will enjoy it as much as others did.
I also chose Curse Breaker! Super excited :)
I’m so excited!! I’m pulling my picks now! Definitely a lot of short books since I have 3 masters papers due in April 😬
I’m going for the professor of hog warts career! Very excited! Thank you for putting all this together!!

I'm pumped! and worried, because my dissertation is due end of April XD But still, reader has got to read.
In lowering order of difficulty, I'm attempting the careers of:
Alchemist > Astronomy Professor > Astronomer
I'm most excited for Herbology! I've been wanting to read The Magician's land for ages and now is a good time to do so (there are shrubs on the cover, I swear XD that totally counts as a plant)

I really liked Arthur C Clark's Rendezvous With Rama, a sci fi novel published in 1972
Arghhhh I nearly wet myself with excitement when I saw you've put The Silent Patient in your TBR. I CANNOT wait to see what you think of it 😁😁😍
Love your dedication with the sprayed edges 😂 outstanding!
I loved Every Heart a Doorway, I loved the whole of the Wayward Children series tbh.
Love your TBR G. So excited for this readathon. Really giddy to have 3 extra days to start the Charms book as well. Roll on our OWLs ❤️
As a nurse in my day job, I was really inclined to be a healer! But I saw the career of Magizoologist D: I'm so torn between the two!!
Yayyy, my first readathon, so excited!!! I'm going for Writer, an easy one because on April 1st, or April fools lol, I will start my classes to get the driving license and I will be quite busy. Muggle Studies - The girl on the train

I’m doing metal charmer . 😍 I’m excited to record my Tbr my now. Look at all those books interesting
I did The Silent Patient as audiobook and heard it in 2 sittings (9+ hours) and I NEVER do this. I usually have one audiobook per month and this works for me. It's a great book, have fun while reading it :)

I am actually going for alchemist so thank the saints for graphic novels and manga. I already read daytrippers and it was so good I really enjoyed it so I hope you like it 😊
I chose healer as my career and yeah I should thought that one through. 😅
I’m going for a healer. I was thinking about mind medic because i’m a psychiatric nurse IRL but in the end i liked the healer more.
I’m going for Alchemist
I’m going for the Mind Medic career 😁 So, excited for this! Great video! I’ve been waiting for this to post since you announced on Instagram.
My career is Hogwarts Teacher and my subject will be Transfiguration :)
I am so excited for this! I'm going for Magizoologist! I will film my TBR during the week and hope to have it up next weekend. But I am so darn excited to take part again!
I'm so glad you're joining us all!
@@BookRoast there feels like there is a large increase of participants this year, it's going to be so fun! Thank you, again, for putting this together!
I love the I Hear the Sunspot manga! They're so adorable and heartwarming. I hope you'll enjoy the second volume too :)
Curse Breaker for me as well 😍
Eyyy I've put A Curse So Dark and Lonely on my TBR too.
