That's lovely to hear! I followed Taj last 5 years or so and its amazing just how Talented he is! I truly believe he will become and then be remembered as one of the All-time Greats!
He's phenomenal ALREADY! There's not many people who can play Gary Moore like Gary Moore! Not to mention Joe Satriani, Hendrix and SRV..

people probably won’t believe me, but i’m friends with taj and i hung out with him last backstage night because he was in town. he’s such a normal down to earth person, you wouldn’t even know he played guitar and then he gets up there and shreds it’s incredible
He is on the top list of guitar players in this world 🤟🏻❤️
This isn’t just a great rig rundown. It’s a wonderful example of a family unit. You can see Taj’s fathers support and passion for his son. They seem like a wonderful family to just sit down and break bread with and hear stories.
Thanks so much my friend. Fatherhood is something that is very important to me and I know you feel the same way. It is certainly not easy. When I see a dad doing a good job, I wanna encourage him. Us dad‘s gotta stick together!

I greatly appreciated the heartfelt interview you did. Also saw how talented you are as well. You have a gentle spirit, and wonderful encouragement. I think we will be looking back to this interview in 6 to 10 years and realize how epic and legendary interview(s) these were. I believe Taj is a rare find and as long as he and his family stay focused and cool headed, and continue to have the realizations that you never stop growing and learning. This interview reminded me of the interview where SRV was jamming with Albert King and Albert took the time to say some similar things you said to Taj. One thing albert said to SRV was that there is not a time to sit on your laurels and say you have arrived, but to always keep learning. He said the better you get the harder you have to work to continue to improve. Thank you!!!

what i,ve noticed is he use,s the pick and then he roles it up into his hand use,s his fingers and then rolls the pick back .I,ve never seen that before.That,s plain crazy

Question, where do you set your stage volume? Do you set it with the lower volume clean tone then use your volume knob on your guitar for boost/gain? Or do you set everything at unity?
Hey, Dave!
That’s a fantastic question. I typically set my stage volume with my clean & dirty rhythm sound. My boost is above and beyond that. I let the sound guy know what my boost sounds like and ask him if that’s too “boosty”… generally speaking, whoever is running audio production, appreciates that sort of consideration. I then make bold promises about not getting any louder after that… 😄
