2:50 youre right that is nasty. your video has been referenced a lot in forums and the more i research, the more i am intrigued. will finish the video and like and subscribe
No sir I don't wrap mine. I like to feel it touching my knuckle. It gives me another reference point. I would suggest a strip of No slip tape on back of riser where it sits on palm of your hand.
Really nice bow. Should be lighter IMO. Also a bit faster, my Expedidtion smokes it in weight and speed, less hand shock too. Nice accurate bow if you can sacrifice speed a bit. Big pigs where we live so High foc is important. I would like to see this bow hit 348 ibo with those ultra light style cams. Nice bow from Athens definitely a competitor could be one of the best...time will tell.
Thanks. Yeah these weren't necessarily buul6 for speed. They are super smooth on draw. Seriously like obe of the smoothest drawing bows I've ever shot. Xpedition makes some great bows as well for sure.
Looking at this in ohio at rack attack shop near Columbus. Big bow hunter here. Looked at v3 other day from matthews. Wasn't Jim one of founders at elite? I want this to be my last compound. Have a mission hype dtx and hoyt katera. Mission is becuz open heart surgery 4 yrs ago but i am fine. 6'2" 198 athletic 28 to 28.5 draw. Great review
Thanks for the compliment. Yes Jim used to be Elite. Man you will not be disappointed in this bow. With as tall as you are you may wanna think about the Vista 35 just for the string angle. Just a suggestion. Glad your ticker is still ticking!! I am not jist trying to be a salesman. I only get behind products and companies that I full stand with and use myself. This bow should stand the long haul. I used to shoot a hout Vetrix myself. This bow will run circles around it.
I have a ridge 32 with the newer cams. Is there really that much of a difference ? Thanks for your hard work with these videos. It’s greatly appreciated
I believe this bow is Athens part of their pro series? How do they compare against the big companies' top bows (Hoyts, mathews, elite, etc) in terms of noise, vibration, tuning and overall quality? I never heard of this company before till yesterday.
In my opinion "I've been in Archery since the 90s" they will absolutely stand toe to toe with them in ever aspect. Some may have them a little on speed. But the big names will have a hard time beating how smooth a draw and how dead in hand these are.
Hey, Its a good comparison. I think this vista has a smoother draw. The ridge has a bit of a dump at the end. I think the Ridge may be just a tad faster. Not by much. This vista feels better in the hand, holding and the actual shot itself. I am a big fan of the Ridge series bows. I was a tad disappointed when they were taken out of the lineup. But this is a very worthy upgrade. In my opinion, I feel this Vista is a better bow. Just how the draw feels is worth it. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. I will be happy to help. Thanks.
Good catch lol. Yeah I get distracted sometimes. I'm wanting to say it's 415 to 430. Been a min since I weighed them. Definitely less than 450 more than 400. That's the nest guess I can give ya till I grt home and weigh them again. If ya want the exact weight let me know and I'll tell ya when I get home 👍
Athens has to the only company being honest about there bows speeds. I mean 28.5 at 60 lbs and 90% let off and getting them speeds is inpressive. Id figured you would of had to set it at 80 % to get them speeds
Really similar. Now I haven't shot any elites after the ritual. I owned ritual 35 and really like it. Then I shot an Athens ridge 34 it felt just as good if not better. So I've been shooting Athens since. I'd put any of this lineup against any bow Elite has and it would stand toe to toe in my opinion. If I had to make a guess I'd say the rtx cams may be a tad smoother on draw, the bow itself are gonna be really similar IMO. Hope that helps!

Got one on order!!! Lets go!!!!
Shot 1 yesterday and now have mine ordered! Seems to be everything you had explained. Thx to you and Eric at his bow shop in Ohio!
Awesome!!
@@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery 1 question the grip under riser kinda hits my thumb knuckle...would u wrap this area with grip tape? Thx.

How heavy was your GT perice? You said 2 different weights. One when showing arrows then before you shot you said different weight

Nope that was 65 holding like 7
They definitely are honest and stand behind thier stuff for sure 💪
How do these bows compare with the elite range

what is the draw length difference between 80-90% let off?
I haven't personally checked myself, but I was told about 1/4"
Is the draw cycle easier than even the matthews v3? Shot v3 yestetday
I have not shot the v3 but compared to the vertix and halon no comparison. Way the Vista is way smoother
@@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery TY! What is speed with about 460gr arrow at 60lbs...29" draw. TY
I'll have to shoot that thru graph. But I cam tell ya 60 lbs 435 grains 28.5 " was mid 270s
