Here we see Gert not only as an outstanding organ performer but also as an accompanist/church organist who pays close attention to the Psalm's text, to provide proper registrations, tempo, etc. as he leads and supports the singing.
Most concert organists dislike playing for congregational singing. I think Gert loves it. He does some of his most fantastic improvisations then. This is nothing short of wonderful.
Gert is giving his ALL in the introduction of Psalm 56. His energy overflows outside into the world. May God continue to bless him to keep him inspired. Thanks Gert from Canada!!

Another fine Propitius composition - and this time with singing for the full effect of the piece. (Also, Gert had another "meeting" with Michael R. Kearney. See "Hosanna to the King" on Michael's URC Psalmody site. They do a duet of "Jerusalem". The concert is an hour long. There is also Bach, Zwaart and Mulder played by Michael on this site). Wow that singing was SO slow! Here in the Reformed churches in Canada we sing them much faster. So difficult to sing that slow. I suppose it does sound more majestic.
If you sing it like this, you let the words sink in more to your hart.

Heidi, in the last stream, Gert announced they he won't do anymore streams because of various reasons. I would recommend watching that stream.

Aw man, after all that lively prelude music the congregation still only wants to sing slowly. I love the Genevan tunes very much, but the tempo should be 60 bpm (time signature 1/2).
