It depends on luck and skill actually. You rarely have to _change_ the blade, unless it hits a rock really badly. Usually you just sharpen the blade and off you go. Sometimes you can work for days without even sharpening the blade, sometimes you can fell just a few trees until there is a hidden rock, or something inside the tree. But in average, you maybe have to sharpen the day once in a day, or change it once in a week.
