It's me at 3:03, what a club! They found out that I was going to war in Iraq shortly afterwards and let me in for free every week until I went - Cheers Strange Dave, I took the piss a bit because they didn't ship me out for ages thank goodness. I met my wife there on the steps at closing time of 4am shouting "I don't want to go home!" I said that I knew just the place for her...Aftersenttial, til you need to go home! I'm here 14 years later with 2 kids, lots of life experience wanting a revisit to see if it's like the old days! 27 Aug 17, I'm going! Good music, good people, fond memories. Bosh Bosh, it's Hoover time.
HAHA nice one man. That's a great story:) I used to Club in Plymouth during this time ( Candy Store & The Dance Academy) It was certainly the most exciting time in terms of nightlife for me. I would love to be able to step back into the the past and be able to re-live it just for one night!
That's mental. My first time at sundissential was prior to going to Iraq. We spent a lot of time in Turkey waiting for the signal for the initial invasion. After Kosovo in 1999, Iraq in 2003 and then Afghanistan I quit the Army and started to promote my own Hardhouse night in my home town and Strange Dave played a couple of times for us. Top bloke. The first time I was in sundissential I remember talking to Madders for ages off my face without having a clue who he was. But he was a top bloke too.
Was there for this. And every week that year. Great days. Not a care in the world. Sanctuary was perfect for SS. Funkissential in the Temple Bar. 🎉 Dancing my nuts off all night. Still got my membership card, loads of flyers and the Kershaw/Rafferty CD album released in 2000. Met some proper sound people courtesy of the message board. Tunes still sound f-f-fresh today.
I was born a decade to late to really experience the clubbing in brum, I got bought the ilogik/Rafferty album when it came out😍 and it has been on every device ive owned since then, even now as a 37 year old dad I still get in the mood for it. There us nothing like the sundissential 3 album
@@thebonsaiprojectkernow have you listened to the first album? Pride of place in my car door storage zone. Love that I’ve looked after it for so long. My housemates bought it for me as a student in Sheffield. Then probably regretted it as I had the attic room and my stereo was decent. So many amazing nights at Sundi’s. I met one of my best pals there. Great days.
Loved Sundis @ the Sanctuary and DNA, and Afters @ Subway City. No Instagram, no Facebook etc, and no politics either. It was good old fashioned going out and meeting people and enjoying the music and lights :-)
Q Club was my first experience, 16 years old and danced the night away. A bar never to be matched!! Massive arena, massive tunes, and a huge bouncy castle in the chill out room.
This brings back lots of memories particularly going to Sundissential on new years day in 2005, it started at 1pm and finished at 5am, good times. The club used to be a proper sweatbox and the floor was dirty as hell, I used to come out of there looking like I'd walked through a muddy field.
Remember walking through the top balcony doors, the heat would hit you first, then as you go through the doors, chemical sweat would rain down on you from the ceiling. Black sludge all over the floor, now that's a proper club!!
hahaha!! happy fookin days!! i forgot about how much madders used to waffle on for hours!!haha love it!! still love the tunes just as much now!! and the famous sundissential wiggle!! : )
lost quite a few of my marbles in 97 & 98 at Sundissential when it was at Pulse, great end to soome HUUUGE weekends, Tuesdays and Wednesdays were never much fun at all..
Do you want to buy the original Official Sundissential Promotional dvd ? It has all of the radio interviews with Madders on & the official Video Wall back drop on it. As well as other snip bits not seen by the public. If so then inbox me. Haha
fkin hard times ;0) i remember we had a meet up from the tidy message board for this and as it twas me bdhay few days later ...was kitchen carnage afterwards .. drip drip leaky roof lol woooo kets gonna get damp lets nose it all ... haha
Ah the memories...very suprised this video doesnt have more comments !!! Watching this video i see so many i used to know. Hope they are all well. Peace and fucking....believe Mike Bosh..

Shout out from Hard Kandy Melbourne Australia!
When you see videos of 'techno' 'raves' nowadays they are a complete pile of piss compared to the absolute debauchery that went on during this time.
