You could use felt fabric to cover your back wall... And it's a pretty inexpensive fabric so I don't think it would break the bank.... Plus you'll still be able to staple and thumb tack without leaving marks AND no wrinkles to worry about!
Since I homeschool now I miss classroom set up so much. I still do some like this year I changed themes in our homeschool room. I’ve seen a lot of cleaning videos and the cleaning vloggers use a product called the pink stuff . Maybe it might help with your cork walls .
