omg I have one of those large reel type things and never use it on dives. They're awful. kudos for getting through the dive with it. I always just use my regular smb spool with a clip and the dive flag or SMB depending on surface conditions
Yeah you might be able to see that I have my finger spool clipped to my BCD but with how bad conditions were, making everyone sick I forgot to give it to the Divemaster to hook up to the flag. By the time I realized we were really needing to just get in the water so I made do. Lesson learned!
