Welcome to Fully Submerged, my name is Olivia! Over the last 8 years, I've developed my life and career around scuba diving as a PADI Staff Instructor, Dive Safety Officer, and Scuba Social Media Influencer. I make entertainment and education-based content to promote the dive industry in hopes that by exposing people to the wonders of the underwater world they'll be more inspired to protect it. There's so much to learn and discover. Come dive with me!
Get the PERFECT Drysuit for YOU
Come with me on my drysuit journey! To begin, I contacted my good friend, April, for help picking the right drysuit. And boy, did she have a wealth of knowledge. I hope this information is just as helpful to you, too!

We have the same fins
Great choice!
Thanks for the tips. This will help me give my recently acquired gear longevity.
Great video with great explanations as I’m starting to discover the underwater world ! A part two would be no refuse especially for the hoods and gloves I am kinda lost in which one to chose 😵💫
Really great information. If I could suggest one thing for your future videos about drysuits would be to mention a company called Seaskin. They’re based out of the UK and every suit is custom made to order. A trilam suit with all the bells and whistles comes in around 1500$! They have great RUclips videos of taking measurements and great customer service. All suits are pressure tested before shipping and they stand behind the product!
Great video! I swear by my drysuit! I learned I need to wax the ends of my plastic zipper, that was not something I was aware of! Thanks for uploading this!
Never ending tips and tricks to learn
@ we should throw in that dampness is to be expected due to condensation
I thought I was just sweating. That makes sense though
I would love to see a part 2. There is one point which should be know by buying a neoprene wetsuit or dry suit: price, I believe the had to cost, so I would never buy a $100 neoprene or $500 dry suit (except sale), because I believe if they are too cheap, they saved money somewhere, on the other hand I don't believe a $7000 is much better then a $3000, this is why I chosen a Subapro Definition dry HD, because I believe a midrange dry suit like Scubapro are the best choose. 🫶
Really cool! Didn't know much about drysuits and this is super helpful to come back to when I'm ready to start seriously considering one!
I kinda miss cold water now that I'm back in Florida tbh
@@FullySubmerged there’s a place you are always welcome to come back to!! 😎🤙
That was very helpful, thanks for the detailed explanation. And yes to a part two, especially about socks vs. boots and which fins work best.
I need this information from her myself so we'll make it happen!
EII!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
After one sec of water: WHERE IS THE BATHROOM IM GOING TO EXPLODE
Sweet Masks 😎
Where did you hear splitfins are bad? I work at a dive shop and they work great. I can go just as fast and efficient with those as I can in my Mares Avantes they also help people with leg, knee, and ankle injuries.
23ft? no scuba required.
I tried quick spit and didn't do the job. My instructor recommended me to use 500psi , it's great, it's a gel but I just put a little bit on the tip of my finger and rub it on the lens, then rinse before diving.
Thank u for taking us on this tour . Looks cool
Cool
🎉
The jellyfish is terrifying
What was your purpose for this video? You seem to be anti-male here and exhibit ageism. Yes, people are going to correct you - you're an instructor/DM, so they want to prove the teacher wrong; also, yea, older people might be like - hey, we had to dive like this -- but just take that as people talking instead of taking it as criticism. As to cost, yea, it can be a lot, but so are many other activities: Sailing, Flying, Racing cars, etc. This does not make it elitist, as individuals can learn and do dives in quarries-something that is inexpensive. It might not be ideal, but not everyone can fly to the Pacific or Asia to do their dives.
If you get it you get and if you don't you don't 🤷🏼♀️
I created a dive log app (Digidive, available on iOS for now) that I hope encourages even experienced divers to keep logging their dives. It's focused on simplicity but has unique features such as a wildlife identifier, a built-in map with >13k dive sites worldwide, and a wish list tracker. I hope you give it a try!
because the wetsuit is to big
Soooo...should i rent or buy my own wetsuit for my ow courses????
I work with these guys at an aquarium, and let me tell you, they are SO curious!
My favorites 🥰
I'm a recently FFM certified scuba diver, and bought a secondhand Ocean Reef Predator FFM from a guy whom no longer felt like using it, so I gained experience FFM-diving from that, however I also recently got the rare opportunity to do a full scuba dive with an OTS Guardian which I very much enjoyed. here are some pros and cons diving with the OTS Guardian compared to my prior experience with the OR Predator; pros: - the face fit is a lot better, as well as evenly applied pressure making it less likely to cause jaw fatigue and comfortable to wear long term. - silicone skirt that has that qualitative rugged feeling to it. - oronasal mask makes a perfect closing seal around my narrow nose preventing CO2 leaks and my visor fogging cons: - water leaking into the OTS Guardian is harder to clear than an OR Predator - using the V-block seemed somewhat more difficult to clear my ears with but this could be lack of experience since OR uses plugs instead of the V-block
Mmm
You are a star!
Try coconut oil!
I've heard coconut oil is actually bad for your hair
Best defog ever toothpaste!
For the initial clean I agree but for regular use be careful or it'll burn your eyes!
Going scuba diving tomorrow!!❤
I love when people do fun stuff like this with fins on 😂
I love those all white fins, they look so comfy! ❤
What brand are these? Who makes them? Thanks
Sherwood Cruz Mask!
I only see my dive buddy one in a blue moon on group dives, sometimes in adv class😂
My cat just stole my cheese!!
would you go shopping in ur scuba gear? it will be so fun!
😂😂😂try a chalkboard next time
Hello, you mentioned that you use 2 different diving computers. What brand do you find that is easier to use?
It's personal preference! I like watch style but I prefer that only when it's air integrated so I can have 1 less hose: Shearwater Teric or Garmin. Those are bougie options though. Otherwise I prefer a computer and pressure gauge combo like the Aqualung i550c
And arapaimas!
Get a pee valve. Or get a dry suit which solves most exposure problems.

Hahaha lol
How do you clear fog
You don't have to, it doesn't fog
How cool!
it took me 45 minutes to put on a wetsuit even with 2 people helping. man it was HELL I definitely lost some weight doing this.
That’s the way you do it!! 😂❤
I’m going to order the same dive skin. So cool.
You should! It's my design! Fully Submerged Swimwear 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
@@FullySubmerged 👍
@@FullySubmerged it’s a great design. My cousin said she may order one also.
Gotta get yourself an UNbrush, they’re super good at detangling any type of hair, wet and dry! Ive seen so many good testimonials on it!
I'll look into it! I really need something smaller and portable/travel friendly too!
@@FullySubmerged I’m unsure if the UNbrush does travel sized ones, but I do know “Tangle teezer” another popular hair detangling brush company that’s highly rated does travel brushes! Go ahead and check them out too! 💜
Thank you!!!
Lol love this!
This is the part where you (swim) away!!
