Thanks for the video Agnes. The video mostly touches on how to become an E-hailing driver than it does on how to start an E-hailing business. Not for lack of knowledge but you tried to squeeze everything in one video. Like the comments in the section suggests, you can split into different videos like platforms where people can get cars, steps to take to become a verified driver, driving tips when on the platform, comparison of the different E-hailing platforms etc.
Hi Agnes, thank you so much for your video. It’s very informative. I just have a few questions because this is a business I’ve been interested in for a while: 1. How much is insurance and which company do you use for cheaper e-hailing insurance? The ones I’ve seen are very expensive and makes the business unprofitable if you gonna get a new car and give it to a driver. 2. When you buy the salvaged cars, how much do you roughly get them for and how much do the repairs normally cost? 3. How much do you charge your drivers per week? Thank you for your time
Hi Lydia Thanks for the comment. 1. yes you have to be diligent when shopping for insurance. we used oaksurance when we started but we stopped using insurance. like I explained they might need third party cover when you are signing up, but you can cancel it once you are on the platform and use normal insurance. Since we bought our cars cash, we are not required to have insurance... I know it is risky but this is the risk we decided to take. We keep an emergency fund of about R5000 for rainy days. If your car is financed then you are required to have insurance. 2. We paid R37k for one of our cars and spent about 10k for repair. the pricing is based on the year model and the state of the car. 3. our drivers cash in R1800 weekly. But when my husband works fulltime on busy days, he makes about R3000 per week.
We have 4 cars. Yes certainly, we making more money than we did when we had two cars. the other thing is also that we don't have car repayments since our cars are bought cash.
Hi Agnes. Please make a video of places you can get cars to put on platform, for example, salvage car that needs to be fixed as you spoke about it on your video. I know we asking a lot😁, but I enjoy your content😂😂
I've been in this business for about 4 months and I have been seeing the money coming in because I also bought my Uber x car cash. However, I'm thinking of quitting because I am concerned about anticipated rising maintenance costs and depreciation. For me to get my ROI for the upfront payment for the car would take at least 2 years. And after that the car will be very old. 1 year left on the Uber X platform, at this point service costs and reliability would be an issue that would eat into profits. I'm not inclined to cancel my insurance. Whats your approach to the end game? When you get your funds back and remain with a high mileage car and high service costs. I gather that the key is to buy as cheap a car as possible.
Yhoo driver's give me problems when its time to pay target, i don't know if I'm too soft or what ??but yhoo my last stroke is when the car was involved in an accident and the driver kept quiet and on the tracker I could see its parked for days and he was like "I'm sick" When I saw my car my heart dropped sold that car for spares and I stopped doing uber😢
Hi agnes , this is so informative, thanks so much🙏 Now lets say you have a driver, and he makes R2000 weekly, is he then paid on commission and on what percent generally, or is itva fixed salary, of how much?
not agnes here, generally 2000/2500 or whatever amount yall have agreed on is paid to the owner per week and the driver basically pays himself by taking the remainder after paying the check in
Hi sister 1. With your experience, what's your take on car brands in relation to durability mostly looking at the used cars option? What are some of the brands you use? 2. How can one get hold of you for more insight if possible? Thanks
Thank you Cc

Which company are you using for tracking device dear….or which companies do you recommend
I use Cartrack
Hi Agnes. Id like to ask. How many cars do you have on platform?
I think profit margins also veries on the number of cars you have.
We have 4 cars. Yes certainly, we making more money than we did when we had two cars. the other thing is also that we don't have car repayments since our cars are bought cash.
@@thejourneywithagnes thank you for the response.🤝
Is the suzuki spresso a good car for ehailing
it seems like a good one.
Hi thank you so much for all this info.
What platforms do you apply on for deliveries?
Thank you, how was the sign up process? Do you have to register as a driver even if you wont be driving yourself?
The sign up process is quite simple. No, you do not have to register if you do not plan to drive.
I would have loved to know about the Pemits?
Can you explain, how you managed to obtain yours?
I will make a video on this. stay tuned.
Hi Agnes. Thank you for this information. What your opinion on buying a car from auction
I love auctions. I even prefer to take a loan and buy a car on auction over car financing.
Thank you 😊🙏🏾

Hi Thapelo! Thank you for your comment. Definitely, that video is coming up.

What is better between bolt and Uber?
commission for Bolt is very high
In terms of safety for passengers and drivers
Also commission on Uber is reasonable
Uber is the better one

@@Pam645I’m sorry to hear this. I’ve been considering joining this business but finding a driver I can trust has been the tricky part
I'd love to drive one of your cars
Thank you for your info
is it possible for me to start if I have a job paying from 8000 with credit score 650
I think you can qualify for a car if that's what you are asking
Was in this for 4yrs. All that i have got was that I waisted my money n time. Couldn't even breakeven.
That is really sad to hear. This business has a lot of ups and downs. our Ups have been able to cover the downs.

Driver basically pays himself as explained in the comment below. Therefore, Drivers will have to work hard to make money for the owner and themselves
