    Makes it easier seeing you make the biscuits. Especially the part about shredding the butter. Great recipe.

      100%. If you have any suggestions on which of my recipes I should create videos for, please let me know! I want to make a lot and I have 100s of recipes, so it is helpful for me to know which my readers want to see, so that I can prioritize.

      If you’re allergic to dairy, can I use Bob’s Red Mill gluten free flour?

      @@renedossantos4468 Hi! I tested 11 different blends and I also list the blends readers have tried in the recipe. They are all dairy-free except for one blend, Cup4Cup.

    made this but the biscuits were dense. almost no rise. used cup2cup (by weight), rumford baking soda, and didn't overmix. Any thoughts about where I went wrong.

    • @FearlessDining
      @FearlessDining  14 дней назад

      Hi Tom, I am thinking you mean Cup4Cup? I do not use baking soda in my recipe...I would not recommend using this. You want two tablespoons of aluminum-free baking powder. Rumford is double acting, and is not aluminum-free. I am happy to help troubleshoot more. Please send me a message via my Contact page. www.fearlessdining.com/contact/

      @@FearlessDining Yep. Cup4Cup and baking POWDER. Sorry about that. I actually double the recipe when I make it and I'm starting to wonder if everything's getting too warm by the time I get it all patted out (if that makes sense?).

    • @FearlessDining
      @FearlessDining  14 дней назад

      @@TomThreadgill1 It is possible. Maybe make two batches then chill the dough? I hope it helps. These are incredible and I want you to get it right.

    My Baking Powder is H-E-B's GF Double Acting Baking Powder and does not list aluminum as an ingredient.

    • @FearlessDining
      @FearlessDining  9 дней назад

      Hi. Double acting has aluminum and will not work well in this recipe.

    • @byrw9557
      @byrw9557 9 дней назад +1

      No, not all double-acting baking powders contain aluminum. Some brands that offer aluminum-free baking powders include:
      Bob's Red Mill: This brand offers a double-acting baking powder that doesn't contain aluminum and doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste.
      Rumford: This brand offers a non-aluminum baking powder.
      Angel Yeast: This brand offers aluminum-free baking powders that use phosphate and organic acid instead of aluminum-containing acid salts.
      Aluminum-free baking powders react with liquid instead of heat, making them faster acting than most double-acting powders.
