eastern rosellas arnt from nz, their from australia - their very invasive in new zealand though a species of parakeet often kept as pets from new zealand are the kakariki which are bright green birds with red at the front of their heads note: although bright green with red fronts of heads is the most common kakariki vatiant (red crowned kakariki) kakariki also can have yellow or orange instead of red on their heads and if your keeping kakariki as pets then they will most likely have green or yellow bodies, occasionaly having blue bodies - however the additional colours of yellow and blue arnt naturaly occuring and were specificly bred for in the species

Yes, the western part of the country is home to a small population, but I would think you would choose a place more centralized like Demoratic Republic of the Congo or Congo as they are actually called the ''Congo'' African Grey (or Timneh which are located in West Africa).
