Can someone tell their managers that the images they’re trying to protect aren’t exactly the ones we want? We want to see them acting all goofy and quirky cause it makes them easier to connect to. We like them better that way, and not allowing that causes dettachments for inexperienced fans who haven’t really learned how to see through it. They are actually hurting NCT career wise in doing this

    • @kiadgz
      @kiadgz 6 лет назад +313

i agree. i feel like they're doing this to all SM artists. Take EXO for example. I almost forgot that Baekhyun and Chanyeol are wild and funny. It's like they're making their artists fit into a box and cut out all the things that make them unique. I highly agree with your statement that they are easier to connect to when they seem more themselves and just show that they are just people too.

sm staff has always been strict I think thats why their artists dont go live that often when their managers are around. remember when they tried to make exo stop their live and they told the fans to attack them on insta later (that was hella funny not gonna lie), also when red velvet was eating ice cream with taeyeon and Wendy said the manager was staring at them because they were EATING. but I think it's not completely the managers fault because they just work for the company there's definitely someone above them that can get them in trouble for not taking care of the artists better or letting them "ruin their image" since that's an important matter for idols in korea. anyways sm should step up their game we wanna see our kids having fun ok

SM is making NCT go on vlive often, but yeah, your point exactly
Managers are doing their jobs; they don't make the rules, people above rhem are just making them enforce it

I talked with my korean friend about it, she told me that korean fans understand, they hate it but that since they know how korean society is, the fans know that the managers are doing their work to keep NCT free of any controversy.
Also SM is famous for being a very strict company. She hopes that international fans understand that NCT will get more freedom as time passes by.
    I'm just relaying her message.
I agree in half but not completely, if they want to make NCT globally famous, they need to give a more free image, there's no need to control their everyday life

"i have also seen comments how the boys looked uncomfortable and scared whenever they're being told to stop doing things. Sometimes you cannot control the look on your face when someone told you to do something appropriate behind the camera. Imagine yourself being on their shoes. I can't believe they even have to control their expressions now just for people not to misunderstand. I am not forcing all of you to agree with me. Though making this video might indicate how you should all shower the managers with praises instead, but that is not what I am trying to convey.
I just really wish appreciating the managers is as easy as how you all appreciate your biases. They're people who carry a huge burden too in making sure the group they're handling doesn't get into trouble. They protect them whenever and wherever, looking after their health and well-being, managing their schedules and guiding them every time they're on broadcast. So being called out as too controlling and rude and making a hashtag out of it are too much. They've done a lot of shit already so it's saddening how the things they've done to NCT were forgotten so easily because of 10- second clips where everything's edited and completely taken out of context.
It's only appropriate to call them out if there's strong evidence that showed how cruel they are to the boys, but so far there is still none. We don't really know what really happens behind the scene, but I know managers can be strict when necessary. They have to keep telling the boys on what they should and should not do, and that is personally still okay for me. Yes, they're young boys who couldn't help messing and playing around but that is basically the reason why the managers should be there to watch them so they won't cause harm to themselves.

I understand why the managers are there, to stop them from saying stupid shit which can happen because theyre only human, but i used to think vlive was a place where they were just doing it themselves and being themselves, like the ones where theyre literally in bed doing nothing but chatting to fans. Its become way more commercialised if thats the right word, like they have camera men and everything. It was a chance for the fans to really connect to them and see them as themselves, like their own little youtube channels. I loved stuff like chanyeols goodnight section, and i wish they would just let them have more freedom filming. They're adults (mostly) for goodness sake, they can trust johnny to speak in english on chat shows but not vlive? What? End of my little rant love you nct 💕

I agree about vlive. I can understand not wanting younger or inexperienced idols to do solo vlives etc just in case but it doesn't make sense to have all the vlives feel so controlled. Especially what you said about Johnny speaking English. I mean, they train all these kids for SO LONG to be able to speak on chat shows, radio shows etc.. do they have that little faith in the people they've chosen to promote & pump $$$ into? I know it's a business but I feel like managers (to the idols) should feel like older brothers. People they respect but can still play around with & in front of? I'm sure that it goes beyond the idol managers (upper management etc) & the stress of a manager is likely very high.

Im pretty sure Mark was shushing Chenle because he was dragging something out that the managers didn’t want him to keep dragging out. And mark started to laugh because Chenle started whispering what he was dragging out. I think the topic had changed but Chenle was still talking about the previous topic.

Please also keep in mind that their managers are also friends with the ot18 and they are often really nice to them! For example when jaemin was having back issues their manager bought him a heat pad, and also do you remember this photo when their manager was squishing chenles cheeks? I know their managers can often come off as rude, but they aren't monsters who are taking the ot18s freedom. They often tell them to stop doing something because they ran out of time, They also often tell them to stop doing somthing weird partly because (at least I think so) knetz often dislike a person just for being a little weird or different.
Welp...sorry 4 ranting 4 so damn long but I just feel like I need to defend them 💖

I know this was 2 years ago and i dont know if the managers have stopped but this was disgusting to watch. Let them have fun for once. Some people are like "ThEyRe DoInG tHeIr jOb" a job of a manager is to keep them safe and look after them, not control them to the point where they can't do anything. Let them laugh and enjoy their little piece of time because we all know they work on music 24/7 and we want them to have fun being themselves, smh.

They are doing there job really well! It hasn’t been long since NCT debuted hence there managers have to be strict considering the fact that how sensitive netizens are and also the members of NCT are really young! Netizens can turn anything into controversy hence the managers have to be very careful and limit NCT’s action inorder to avoid such controversies! And that too they have to be extra careful while going live! It’s a very sensitive platform! They are doing it for the betterment of NCT and as the group gets older and older freedom will come eventually!

If you don't know the first video (Mark telling the Dreamies to be quiet), Chenle and Mark were argument about their VLive with Jaehyun (They created a "ship name" but ChenMark didn't remember so they were like:
    -"it's Jungzhonglee"
    +"no, it's Jungleezhong")
(Because of Jaehyun, Chenle and Mark's surname).
But then the other members started to talk about other things and Chenle kept talking about Jungzhonglee. At this moment, Mark told Chenle to be quiet (as you can see in the video). However Chenle continued a little bit more and smiled, Mark also smiled, then they finished.
Sorry if you don't understand, English is not my first language, but I hope this could help you :)

2:03 was savage Taeyong was brave to say that. I can see on Mark's face that he wasn't happy, also Jaemin looked upset, now I understand why sometimes he looks too serious because he is upset. I know how is to be treated like that, because I worked in a place where I couldn't talk or go out etc, but I quieted long time ago, so let's support their freedom. It's not ok someone to tell you when to eat, drink or breathe, it's just too much, they're too much controlled and do not let them speak in English it's an insult for internationals fans, I don't know Korean so I would like to listen to them talking in English, I know some of them know English. SM let them feel happy, come on nothing it's wrong, they're young and want to feel good.

Well, to be fair, no. 6 point was that they were doing a reaction video and the music was too loud so the fans were complaining they couldn't hear what they were saying
And no. 7 was they really were meant to give spoilers but they were giving out too much, but the fans kept asking for more but of course they can't anymore -gurl if you gonna ask for-
    -that much spoilers they might-
-as well just do the whole-
    -performance ahead of comeback-
No. 8 was because they were running out of time and had to do/say more things before they had to end the broadcast
No. 9 idk kinda sketchy, he just seemed like he got embarrassed because someone they didn't know saw them like that, like, jisung's not like haechan and yuta who's confidence levels rivals the heat of the sun
And I'm pretty sure it's not exactly the managers that do "controlling" things but SM's PR/SNS people??

You're right, i only think that something is wrong with the person/s in points 2 and 4, but Taeyong in point 7 said it so clear and that's in off to see how the managers (or idk who) treat them and control too much, they are literally in every vlive, that's annoying even if they're not rude. I've seen so many vlives from Seventeen or Stray Kids and they don't need to have the managers behind the camera to not say anything wrong, idk why soooooo much control in NCTs when they are not kids from garden, they clearly know what shouldn't say or do. I'm sorry i wrote to much and also sorry for my english 😅

@@malen2399 hi, sorry, youtube notifications are not working for me for some reason.. i think mostly it's because only SM does their idols' vlives professionally? Like, EXO hardly do vlive, and they're 7 year old idols and don't need much monitoring compared to nct who only had their 2nd anniversary. Also, I have reason to believe that the managers have been replaced, either totally (where is MC Ari???) or just during vlives.. recently, the boys mention that their managers are not with them in some vlives, yet they are still being directed.

I literally came here after multiple Vlives, and one recently, where the NCT staff told Renjun to stop talking about about Winwin for some reason. At first I thought it was because Chinese, Korean relations aren't too good, but other NCT members have talked about WayV members before. This disrespect is literally unbelievable. You can see in the Vlive when the staff tells Renjun to stop, Chenle looks sad, and so does Renjun. He smiles and says an awkward okay, but you can tell that he's kind of sad. This is unbelievable that Renjun can't even talk about his 'gege.' Just know that you have us Nctzens to support you!

I guess you have to look at it in the manager’s perspective, theyre given a job, if they dont do it in the company’s terms, they lose their jobs. Plus we also have to remember, yes NCT are also humans, but theyre in the part of the society where you cant really act like theyre your friend(you know what i mean?) theyre in that league where whatever they do, theyre being watched, judged and etc. They are idols who has some restrictions, and it has always been like that. But SM gotta accept that its f**king 2020 and fans are more open now. I just hope idols can start dating more, because if they are happy im happy, yes it will kinda hurt, but sooner or later they will have their own families and all that jazz so yeah. Oof i went really off topic haha

Let the female idols eat whenever they can, you cant force people to starve themselves, let the idols date whenever they can, let the idols interact more! IM TALKING ABOUT BRINGING ALL OF NCT TOGETHER! AND YES WHERE TF IS OUR NCT 2019??? AND YES BY WHOLE OF NCT I AM ALSO TALKING ABOUT WAYV FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO DOESNT THINK WAYV IS PART OF NCT!! ok bye

i don't really hate the managers like most people do, they're just doing their job. they will eventually go away in vlives when nct's time as an idol passes, bear in mind our boys are rookies they have to be watched so they won't make any mistakes. look at how much exo gets dragged for saying something in a live broadcast that gets taken out of context, sm doesn't want it to happen to nct, not when they are relatively new. eh, i mean, i really am in love with sexy manager-nim, and manager hyunjoon and mc gree are always regarded by nct as great friends, so yeah. they are a little annoying, but not that annoying tbh..

tangina sabi ko nga bading yun si jungwoo e I agree.. I know that they're maybe too strict when nct did their vlive. *but* we need to remember that we don't know what actually happen behind the camera. is it really the manager? the manager that we know? or maybe it's some other staffs who told them to stop doing something. and we also know that nct managers are basically their dads and best friends. I mean- the managers are with them almost 24/7. we often saw them smiling and playing together in the airport. or when jaemin said that the manager have been taking care of him when he's in hiatus, etc etc. my conclusion is, maybe we shouldn't bash the managers so much??? like- let's blame the management instead.

    • @daphnedaphn3
      @daphnedaphn3 6 лет назад +10

      b. Exactly. It's a bit rude to assume that the people who scolded them are managers, nct have very good relationships with their managers and i do not want them to have a bad rep as much as nct doesn't. Their management in vlives is admittedly harsh but it's not really a big deal. I wish people would be careful with their accusations.

I think it’s mostly because of their image on Korea, we (international fans) are not the primordial target, but the korean fanbase, so maybe the manager prevent them to seem “rude” and make them aware of what they consider “incorrect”.
