I recently passerd. No, you do not get scratch paper. There is a lot of mental logic that you have to balance and it can get confusing very quickly. The logic based reasoning and detail observation sections on the test are MUCH more difficult than the practice exam that the secret service provides. The grammar sections are similar though. I failed it the first time waited 6 months got test prep for a week and passed my second time.
@320 The question reads "How many misspelled words are in line 7." The answer is 1. Not 2 like in the description. There is no "line a" either.
