- Tyler from SportRx shows you how to interchange lenses on the Oakley Flak 2.0 XL. As you can see the standard Flak 2.0 lenses fit the Flak 2.0 XL and vice versa, so this tutorial works for both frames.

I just changed from my stock lenses, Prizm Ruby - non polarized for the Prizm black lenses. The blacks were a lot thicker and a lot harder to get properly seated in the frame.
Very informative. Had to pop one lens back in after accidentally putting weight on it. Easy as pie. Appreciate the product support. Nothing but Oaks for me.

Took me 20 minutes to fit my lenses and damn near broke my frames trying to get them in. I initially bought the Prism Polarized cause my old lenses got scratched, but ended up having to order the normal polarized non-prism Lenses cause I didn't like the weird red hue the Prism adds to everything.
I know this is an old video, but I have a dumb question. Does changing the lenses wear down the points of contact with the frame over time? Just curious, because I dont wont to wear them down when I could just get a whole pair of glasses specifically for that lense with a little extra $. If that makes sense.
Hi there! If anything it may wear down the edges of the lenses before the frames.

If I buy prescription lenses from you, will it still be that easy?
HI! The lens interchange for the Flak frame is very easy to perform. It requires a smidge of effort the first time in order to determine how much pressure to apply and at what area of the frame to pop the lenses into place. You may want to have an optician perform the swap for the first time, but you should be able to do it right off the bat if you follow the instructions in the video. If you have questions, reach out to our opticians for assistance. Hope this helps!
Can I swap prescription and non prescription lenses? I sometimes prefer to wear my contacts and wonder if this would be an option.
You absolutely can! There is no difference in the interchange process and there is no difference in the frame chassis!
Ok so this means that if you get the flak 2.0 and you want to put the xl Lens on you can do that. Or the other way around. So when you buy them you buy the same frame but it comes with a different lens.
That is correct! It is the same frame chassis regardless of the lens shape. The only caveat is the 'Asian Fit' lens shape. That frame has a unique frame chassis.

I just purchased a pair of Oakley flak 2.0 xl prescription sunglasses ($600+) I know someone asked this question but since I have prescription sunglasses can I swap the frame to a different color? I have them in white with sapphire blue lenses but would like to get the black frames, also would this void any warranty I have and should I install the lenses to the other frames my self or should I go with the retailer I bought them from (LensCrafters)!?? Of course Chino! Many people purchase additional Flak 2.0 frames for that very purpose. When it comes to swapping the lenses out yourself, its a fairly intuitive process. However, you might benefit from having a trained tech perform the swap the first time just to show how much pressure to apply and where to ensure no damage comes to the frame or lenses. Do you know where can i get the smaller lenses?
Has anyone come across issues with inconsistent lense sizes? Bought two sets of flak xs (I have small face) so I could switch lenses around, with micrometer found one set of lenses around .5mm larger and distort the frame so they are then wonky....
Hi there! Do you know if both sets of lenses are authentic Oakley or were they produced by a 3rd party? Oakley's labs are pretty spot on with their lens cuts, but defects do happen occasionally, though not very often. How can I tell what lenses I have 2.0 or 2.0xl ? They have prizum p on one of the lenses ?

Hi! The XL stands for (Xtended Lens) which has more depth with sharper angles compared to the 2.0 shape. The vast majority of people have the 2.0 XL shape. The 2.0 shape is usually reserved for people with strong prescriptions. You can also send photos to info@sportrx.com and an optician will get back to you confirming which shape you have!

I got a pair of oakley flak 2.0 XL replacement lens and they are hard to get in the frames. They fit but I am scared I'm going to break the frame by taking them out if I wanna switch them.
I got them off of Amazon. Like $40 ones
Hmmm. It could be that the lenses are not authentic Oakley replacements. You can often identify an authentic Oakley lens by the sandblasted etching of the iconic 'O' logo or 'PRIZM' at the bottom of said lens. It could be that the lens was cut too large for the frame as it shouldn't take much effort to perform the interchange. Send a few photos to info@sportrx.com and an optician will review the images and get back to you with their take and determine if they're in fact authentic Oakley lenses. It's weird because they like fit but they go in tight and I'm afraid they will like snap and break.
Both the frames and lenses are fairly malleable. They should withstand some applied pressure without cracking or snapping. You can always take them into an optician for verification of authenticity as well.

Will flak Asia fit lenses fit?
The Flak 2.0 Asian Fit lens is a different size and shape from the Flak 2.0 / Flak 2.0 XL. While those two share the same chassis, the Asian Fit chassis is unique and so it necessitates a unique lens and they are not interchangeable.
