The female singer Ulrike also did guest vocals on a Lord of the Lost song. I have been listening to Blutengel for years. Love their music videos including the ones for Sing, Black, Save Our Souls, Vampire
„Blood Angel“ is popular within the gothic scene over here in Germany. But there are always some discussions whether this is still referring to the dark scene or if it is „dark pop“. In short: They polarize. I like them if my mood is fitting. I had „Blutengel“ some times in front of my lenses. This year at M‘era Luna hopefully for the first time with „Full Show“.
I do agree that since their early days, they have introduced big elements of Future-pop into their sound. I have loved Blutengel for over 20 years and I like the style shift as they now how music for every mood depending on the era :)
Blutengel are one of my favourite groups. I don’t see too many people reacting to them. Back in 2007, I flew from Australia to Germany just to see them live in concert.
Great to see old Skool Goth is still alive and kicking...(or undead and kicking??) Can hear a lot of sisters of mercy and fields of the nephlim in there too which is great!
Oh Blutengel has so much to offer ..... one of their biggest is in german called Reich mir die Hand - but i think a song you guys would really LOOOOOVE is Blutengel - Dancing in the light - it is AWSOME
Hey guys have you checked out Persofone by Nostra Morte yet? I believe this song would be right up your street, more vampires too, also check out their cover of El Fantasma de la Opera (Phantom of the Opera), you'll love it!
Welcome to Blutengel! Try them also live and especially acoustic/classic, e.g. at Gothic meets Klassik: ruclips.net/video/aBS_3mblKao/видео.html In fact the composer that wrote the classical versions for the Gothic meets Klassik event (and has ever since for other bands, including VNV, LOTL, Covenant etc.) joined them as live keyboarder for some years before Lukas took over...
Finally some blutengel thanks for your reaction to this band, not alot of people react to them which is a shame, they really have some good stuff if you dig deep enough
Mike and Ginger, can you please react to these wonderful teens from the School of Rock covering"California dreaming" by The Mamas and papas. The lead singer, she also appeared on The voice and went pretty far.
Nice one. Blutengel "Sing" next please. I also recommend a band that you haven't reacted to Apoptygma berzerk "until the end of the world (live)" ruclips.net/video/ObvWIAnffOE/видео.html I would really appreciate if you could do that. Scandinavian danceable Futurepop - like Covenant, Ginger 😉
My recommendation from Blutengel would be "No Eternity". I'm not sure if this song has ever been released in any of their albums. They have a 2004 EP-like release with the same name which has different mixes of this particular song. I don't want to put a link into my comment because the last time I did so, either you or YT did delete my comment. There is a really nice live recording + back scenes video of the recording back from 2005 on YT which you should be able to find. Also I strongly recommend another German darkwave group called "Deine Lakaien" which I've thought that you've reacted before but I couldn't find that video on your channel. Maybe it was some other reaction channel. "Love me to the End" from their '91 album "Dark Star" or maybe anything from their '99 album "Kasmodiah" would be my starter recommendations. Their later work has many official videos but you wouldn't be able to find many videos from their earlier work. They have a wonderful live album called "20 Years of Electronic Avantgarde" recorded with a Philharmonic Orchestra back from 2007 which is also partially available on their official channel. I would recommend "Return" from that recording.
If you like 'Blood Angel's' vampire atmosphere try this: ruclips.net/video/w1G-9WUgptY/видео.html - Reich mir die Hand But you're supposed to be over 18 to watch. It has sensitive material ! 😂🤣😳
Nice tune, by the way Blutengel translates to Blood Angel. They have a lot of great songs: Reich mir die Hand, Soul Taker, Nachtbringer to name a few.
Children of the night, don't underestimate that!
41 years old at the time and still cranking out hit after hit
Chris is unstoppable
i am now 43 and still going - I hope you aged like a good wine ;)
They're my favourite band. A shame they're not as popular internationally
There is a very nice Blutengel-rendition of „Forever Young“ 😎
It was me who suggested Blutengel during the Sunday Live session a few weeks ago :)
I also recommend, Blutengel - Lebe deinen Traum.
Great you have caught up with Blutengel. You should also check out Chris Pohls side project, She Hates Emotions, which is more 80s synthpop
Terminal Choice are another of his projects and they rocked too. :)
Yay Blutengel! Not surprised Mike mentioned Sisters of Mercy. A few I like:
Our Souls Will Never Die
Black
Sing
Wir Sind Das Licht
The female singer Ulrike also did guest vocals on a Lord of the Lost song. I have been listening to Blutengel for years. Love their music videos including the ones for Sing, Black, Save Our Souls, Vampire
Great choice guys. I was getting Sisters Of Mercy as well.
Loved it guys 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Loved your reaction! Krieger is another good one -- the goth is dialed up and the synths down but with the same catchy, dark style.
