I'm sorry to say that there is a lot of church hurt.
there a lot of mean horrible hypocrites in church just because someone goes to church it doesn't mean that they have the Spirit of God in them they can also treat you bad I don't like going to church but I love to use us and I have a personal relationship with him
This is why he said find a GOOD church. It seems like the church you were in was not a good one. Since humans make up the church, there is a chance some of them will be corrupt. Pray that God leads you to the RIGHT church. You may consider counseling to find healing from the church trauma you experienced.

Never been to any church where got any of these things. Many of these out there. Why people say they don't need them.

I'm having so much trouble in my married. I feel he don't pay attention to me so I'm so lonely. he don't sleep with me .I haven't slept for 48 hrs.he says he wants to work it out but he don't want to talk about our issues. Yesterday I sat on the front porch for hours crying and lost but he didn't seem to care .I prayed and ask God to help me but he just gave up on me. I said if this pain because of the sins I done in the past god just take take my life I don't know how to do this.
I can't take this lonely feeling so empty.

+linda hall Not sure how much you've progressed since your post but you have to PUSH...Pray Until Something Happens and let God have complete control. God works in His own time so do not expect immediate results. Consult a therapist in the mean time but don't try to handle it yourself and don't stop praying.

You cannot grow to maturity by yourself
That doesnt really happen in indonesian churches
If you go to church and they are mean to you because you aren't like them in some way, maybe you struggle with depression or anxiety and people blame and shame you, don't worry Jesus will not reject you. Many churches can be so dysfunctional that you are better off staying away from them. It's becoming more difficult to find a good one.
I normally love Rick's sermons but I'd have to question the biblical accuracy of this message. Jesus himself said, Anyone who puts their wives, husbands, children, families, ahead of God is not fit for the kingdom of heaven......but Rick clearly said that, you don't need to study the bible or to pray, what you need is the church family. This is non biblical. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to be part of a community, but that community does not take priority. Jesus said seek the kingdom of heaven above all things......above all things, Including family, friends, even your children. The lord himself told us what should be number one in your life.
Eoin Brennan but remember, Jesus also said love your God AND love your neighbors as you love yourself. Seeking the Kingdom first will also make you love people.
You may be caught up in the technicalities and take it all a bit literally.
Although he did state that loving Jesus has to come first, then the commitment church family comes next. He also explains what he means by the church comes first before reading the bible and prayer- in that the church family will help to teach you HOW to read, pray and build those life giving habits more effectively. Because if you pray and read the bible on your own for growth and dont have any spiritual overseers, then you cant expect to grow on your own. I think you have to consider the entire context of the sermon and everything he is saying.
@@Onlinesully This kind of thing wearies me greatly. You can justify anything by saying "Dont take the bible literally". I know people who justify homosexuality by saying "Dont take what Jesus said literally". But its my experience that when Jesus said something he meant it, literally
I watch pastor Rick alot but in this sermon he is definitely off the mark. 99% of the time he knows what he is talking about but this is an example of the 1%
