Imo, the only bad thing about the simplified profiles is that they hide the full "About Me" section. People need that type of info to accurately convey stuff. Seeing their whole bio from the get-go is quite important to me and to many others, so hiding it behind a button that opens the full profile makes it so we might as well not even have the initial screen in our opinions. Things like roles and stuff genuinely don't matter in the preview, but it does still lead to some weird issues since the "global" profile (the one that doesn't show roles/server profiles/server nicknames/etc.) can only be opened from DMs with this update in place.
I love the little profile update!! it is very cute and the little status thinking bubble is amazing. I like discord giving the option to close the activities thing in servers because I give zero fucks about what people are doing... these updates don't change the entire apps layout so it ain't bad for me
I dislike the smaller profiles because they already cut bios off early, and now it's even harder to get to... No one is ever going to read anyone's bio now (except for me lol)
i think the increased amount of info when hovering over a server is honestly a good idea, helps tell you if there's anything of note going on, because there's a chance that a vc might just have a bunch of lurkers, they just need to shrink it down instead of it being this gigantic popup

personally, with the minimal layout for profiles, i hate it because i use a lot of fanart as my discord pfp and i have a spot in my bio where i creddit the artist. it's annoying that they can't just click my bio and see it from there. i'm fine with the rest of the clutter being gone, but maybe leave 2-3 lines of the bio at least? edit: i did not get to the second bio layout before i commented this lmao
welp, I just got the "new" update on my ipad and man, I don't think I've felt this angry in a long while... I... just hate it so much... and man, the update came really late for me, too. It already came to my phone a long while back and so I stopped using it as much in favor of using my ipad which *hadn't* gotten the update.... but now I just don't enjoy mobile anymore, but it's my main way of using discord. Man, and right before summer break starts for me this happens....

I like the look of the darker theme. Nice balance between contrast and pretty As for blurple twilight, it definitely doesnt look that similar. It's similar yeah but it is different and actually more subtle which I like. I think NTTS might be a little colourblind 😲
